Abstract

ABSTRACT Juvenile delinquency and bullying are serious problems at the junior high school level that adversely affect students’ mental health. Therefore, preventive approaches that emphasize moral values and the protection of life are essential for creating a safe and supportive school environment. This community service program aimed to improve students’ knowledge, attitudes, and awareness in preventing juvenile delinquency and bullying through value-based training preceded by a needs assessment at SMP Negeri 1 Sumowono. The program employed a participatory educational approach using a pretest–posttest design. A total of 62 students participated, comprising 22 male and 40 female students. The intervention was delivered through counseling sessions, group discussions, and value reflection activities integrating topics on juvenile delinquency, bullying, psychological impacts, mental health, and the principles of Hifdz An-Nafs. Data were collected using knowledge and attitude questionnaires and student participation observation sheets and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ knowledge and attitudes following the intervention. The average level of knowledge increased by 39.1%, with the greatest improvement observed in students’ understanding of Hifdz An-Nafs values. The proportion of students with a good level of knowledge increased from 35.5% to 79.0%. In addition, positive attitudes toward bullying prevention and responsibility for maintaining mental health also showed a meaningful increase. In conclusion, value-based training on the prevention of juvenile delinquency and bullying grounded in a needs assessment is effective in enhancing students’ knowledge, attitudes, and mental health awareness and is relevant for development as a sustainable preventive strategy in school settings. Abstract

As digital platforms like YouTube reshape children's product advertising, this study explores how brand ambassadors, music, and color influence consumer engagement and memory. Despite their frequent use, the persuasive roles of these elements remain unclear. Therefore, the aim is to examine how much brand ambassadors, colour, and music in children's product advertisements on YouTube influence parental consumer engagement The research focuses on their impacts on recall and brand reinforcement among parents. This study was under a quantitative research. It was designed to quantitatively examine the impact, employing a survey as the primary research method.  An online survey was conducted with 100 parents of children aged 5 to 10. A total of 20 advertising videos were collected and subsequently examined through regression analysis. The results of the correlation analysis revealed that brand ambassadors significantly and positively enhance the persuasive power of advertisements for children's products. Likewise, the use of color demonstrated a substantial and statistically significant effect. In contrast, music exhibited a relatively strong influence but did not reach statistical significance. Foundational attributes, such as credibility, popularity, and appeal in brand ambassadors, as well as memorability and attractiveness in musical elements, consistently contributed to increased consumer persuasion through brand reinforcement and recall, particularly when paired with color. These findings offer valuable, data-driven insights for advertisers, policymakers, and scholars seeking to optimize audiovisual strategies in digital campaigns targeting children's markets. However, a key limitation of this study lies in the absence of mediating variables, which could have provided a deeper understanding of the mechanisms behind persuasion. Future research is encouraged to incorporate such variables further and investigate additional advertising components that may influence consumer response.

Abstract

Stunting and children's dental health problems are still public health challenges, although their prevalence shows a downward trend nationally and regionally. Data shows that the prevalence of Stunting nationally is 19.8% and Central Java is 17.1%, while the problem of pediatric dental caries in Indonesia is still high. In RW IV Meteseh Village, Tembalang District, the limitations of posyandu cadres and variations in the level of community education have the potential to hinder promotive and preventive efforts. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness about Stunting prevention and children's dental health through education based on Hifdzun Nasl principles. Community service uses a community-based participatory education (CBPE) approach, which is a participatory education approach that places the community as the main subject in the learning process and changes in health behavior with a pre-test and post-test design on 52 residents from three RTs. The activity involved lecturers, nursing and English education students, community leaders, and RW administrators. Educational materials include Stunting, 1,000 HPK, breastfeeding and MP-ASI, PHBS, dental health for toddlers, and the integration of Hifdzun Nasl values. The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge with an average score difference of 30.5 points and an N-Gain value of 0.63 (medium-high category). The highest improvement was found in the understanding of Hifdzun Nasl's values, which strengthened the acceptance of health messages. Field findings also show that there are still toddlers at risk of Stunting and dental caries problems, confirming the urgency of value-based educational interventions. Hifdzun Nasl's principles-based health education is effective in increasing public knowledge and awareness and has the potential to encourage sustainable changes in parenting behavior.
