The results of a survey by Plan International and International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) survey released in early March 2015 show that 84% of children in Indonesia are experiencing violence in schools. Handling bullying behavior will not be effective if not accompanied by a prefentive effort. The lack of efforts and media prevention of bullying behavior becomes a problem that needs to get a settlement in order to realize the ideals of a character that can be realized. Individual abusers who refer to bullying have low empathy skills and high aggressiveness, so training empathy can be used as an effort to prevent aggressive behavior that refers to bullying.This study aims to determine the effectiveness of empathy based guidance package based on experiential learning in improving the empathy skills of elementary school students. This research is a type of quasi experiment in which there are experimental groups that will be given treatments in the form of application of empathy based guidance counseling based on experiential learning and control group which will be given empathy material expository. The research was conducted at SDN Bulu Purwoasr. The subjects used were class V students according to the characteristics of the empathy improvement guidance package, which amounted to 32 students and then grouped randomly into the experimental group and the control group. The control group will receive empathic treatments using classical methods while the experimental group will get treatments using empathy based empathy guidance package based on experiential learning. Each will get four treatments with a duration of 35 minutes each session. Empathic skills are measured using the empathy scale developed by M.H Davis, the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) that has been adapted to Indonesian children's language and has been through expert test, validity test, and reliability.Based on the results of data analysis, based on Independent T test scores, there are differences in empathy skills possessed by both groups both before and after treatment. It is shown from the score of the independent T test both before and after treatment, has a score of 0.37 and 0.02 or less than 0.05 which is the threshold of the significance score of the T test. In the postest activity, the control group has a mean more score high compared with the experimental group, ie 64.1: 62.9. However, after the treatment was given, the mean score of the control group was lower than the experimental group of 76.5: 79.1. The difference in percentage increase from pretest to posttest was also greater in the experimental group with 16.2% than in the control group with 12.4%. The effective contribution of the use of empathy based experiential learning guidance package is 25.8% -19.5% = 6.3%. It can be concluded that This means that the guidance package of empathy improvement based on experiential learning is effective to be applied to grade V elementary school students. Salah satu bentuk profesionalisme guru BK dalam praktik konseling yaitu melakukan konseling dengan tahapan yang sesuai dengan pendekatan yang dilakukan. Berbagai pendekatan dalam konseling cukup beragam, dan salah satunya adalah SFBC (Solution Focused Brief Counseling) atau sering dikenal dengan konseling ringkas berfokus solusi. Konseling ini memfokuskan pada solusi yang dibangun oleh konseli, bukan pada masalahnya. Konseli diajak untuk membangun solusinya sendiri dengan berpegang pada kemampuan yang dimiliki konseli. Akan tetapi kenyataan yang terjadi dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa para guru BK di sekolah belum mengenal pendekatan SFBC ini. Sehingga peneliti tertarik untuk mengembangkan panduan SFBC untuk siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) dengan tujuan agar guru BK memiliki tambahan pengetahuan seputar pendekatan konseling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian research and development. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menggunakan tujuh tahap yaitu 1) tahap pengumpulan data; 2) tahap perencanaan; 3) mengembangkan produk awal; 4) uji coba terhadap ahli materi BK dan media; 5) revisi media; 6) uji calon pengguna produk; dan 7) revisi tahap akhir. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian uji ahli materi BK, ahli media, dan calon pengguna produk, maka diperoleh deskripsi penerimaan pemakai atas bentuk dan isi dari panduan konseling SFBC untuk guru BK SMPN 1 Kota Kediri. Beberapa aspek yang menujukkan keberterimaan panduan Solution Focused Brief Counseling dari ahli materi BK, ahli media, dan calon pengguna produk meliputi aspek ketepatan, kesesuaian, kejelasan, dan kemenarikan. Tiap aspek tersebut dinilai oleh para ahli dan calon pengguna produk yang secara keseluruhan menunjukkan kategori sangat baik.

It is very important for multicultural counselor to have fairness character. At school, there is an issue of less professionalism counselors because of less fairness character. The results of preliminary study conducted at undergraduate’s students of Guidance and Counseling Department at University of Nusantara PGRI Kediri prove that the students as candidate of counselor still discriminate the personality of counselee, less neutral when counselee tells the problem, and give labeling on counselee. Therefore, it is important to do special interventions to improve their fairness character become competent multicultural counselors. To Intervent the candidate of counselors can use certain media such as BADRANAYA (Multi-Cultural Character Board-game Counselor). The aim of this research is to develop BADRANAYA which can be accepted theoritically and practically. The research method used is research and development (Borg & Gall 1983). At present, the research process is in the third procedure namely the Development of Initial Product Draft, one of them is preparation of instruments.The validity and reliability are very important to obtain valid data regarding the level of fairness character for candidate of multicultural counselors. This article is limited to the validity and reliability of the Fairness Character Measurement Scale. Based on the results of the validity which is tested to 32 undergraduate students at University of Nusantara PGRI Kediri obtained 12 valid items with a reliability index of 0.834. The 12 items also have a very high reliability index that is represented each indicator of fairness character. While the results of the validation of the instrument, the fairness character measurement scale can be used as a measurement of the fairness character of candidate multicultural counselors in the next research procedure.

Education plays an important role in shaping the character of students. One of the characters to be instilled by teachers is task commitment. However, what happens in the field, students have lack of responsibility in completing tasks. Task commitment identical with gifted academic children which is acceleration class students. Despite that commitment to duty is basically owned by everyone including regular students. The purpose of this study was to determine level of commitment differences of acceleration class students and regular class students. The method used is descriptive survey research. Data analysis technique used is Mann Whitney test. From the calculation results obtained t value of 0.009 < 0.05, so there is a difference between the commitment level of labor between acceleration class students and students’ regular classroom.

The discriminative behavior upon individual personalities that multicultural counselors have frequently operated causes low neutrality in encountering an issue and individual labeling. That behavior indicates the counselors lack impartial character. Thus, this study aims to develop a guidance and counseling media of Badranaya (multicultural counseling board game) that promote unbiased character, referring to Semar’s great characters. It used modified Borg and Gall development procedures, while its data were obtained through valid and reliable experts assessment questionnaire and impartial character scale. The numerical data analysis results from guidance and counseling experts, as well as educational media development experts, signify that this media is highly feasible to be used. Meanwhile, the qualitative data from experts in the related fields also confirms the media’s feasibility to be adopted as a new educational media breaktrough, primarily in prospective counselors’ education. Additionally, the paired sample test results also show an increase in the multicultural counselors’ impartial character after they play Badranaya.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine differences in interpersonal skills to solve conflicts between acceleration class students and students at SMAN RSBI RSBI class as the city of Malang. This study uses comparative descriptive research design. The subjects were 324 students. Data analysis using t-test to determine differences in interpersonal conflict solving skills among students accelerated classes and regular classes students at SMAN RSBI as the city of Malang. From the results of the t test is known that there are differences in interpersonal skills to solve conflicts between students and regular students acceleration with Sig. 2 tailed 0.003 <0.05. The result of the calculation of standard deviation of acceleration class students by 13, 859, while the standard deviation is lower regular grade students that is equal to 12.579. This suggests that the regular class students have the skills to solve interpersonal conflicts is greater than the acceleration class students, although not significantly. This is supported by the differences in students' social skills, learning time, and location of classes in grade acceleration and RSBI regular class students. Based on the results of these studies can be suggested for counselors accelerated classes to further optimize the guidance and counseling services in the field of social private, so the child can learn to socialize better. For further research is recommended to be able to develop a model of interpersonal conflict resolution skills training, analysis of factors and increase the number of research samples. For the government as policy makers in order to decide back in the right curriculum in lieu RSBI program or try to fix the things that were not appropriate in the curriculum RSBI and then developed into a new, more relevant curriculum. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil pengamatan peneliti dimana terdapat kurangnya efikasi diri karier mahasiswa S1 Bimbingan dan Konseling. Efikasi diri karier merupakan sesuatu kemampuan yang penting untuk dimiliki oleh seseorang. Keberhasilan seseorang dalam segi karier mereka dapat dipengaruhi oleh efikasi diri karier tersebut. Rendahnya efikasi diri karier ini dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan Proses GURU. Proses GURU merupakan suatu teknik yang luwes dan komplit serta dinilai mampu mengakomodasi dari banyaknya tahapan pembelajaran ekperiensial. GURU merupakan kepanjangan dari ground (G), understand (U), revise (R) dan use (U). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tingkat efikasi diri karier mahasiswa Calon Guru BK sebelum dan sesudah melakukan pelatihan efikasi diri karier menggunakan Proses GURU. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalaha kuantitatif dengan teknik penelitian experiment dengan jenis one group pretest posttest design. Skala Pengukuran Efikasi Diri Karier adalah instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh data dari perhitungan uji t paired sample bahwa sigifikansi yang diperoleh dari perbedaan skor posttest dan pretest adalah 0,000 dimana skor signifikansi ini kurang dari 0,05. Maka ditolak atau efikasi diri karier mahasiswa calon Guru BK meningkat setelah diberi perlakuan. Guru BK/konselor dan para dosen BK dapat menggunakan proses GURU untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri karier mahasiswa calon Guru BK. Guru BK dan para dosen BK dapat menggunakan proses GURU ini sebagai teknik untuk pengembangan pribadi konselor.

Self-discipline is an important attribute that must be possessed by students. The reality at school is that there are students who have low self-discipline. Low self-discipline is characterized by behavior that violates the rules of school until arriving late to school, not using the complete school attributes, and some other violiations. This phenomenon should be of particular concern because low of self-discipline will affect the academic field of students. One technique in counseling services that can be used to improve self-discipline is self instruction technique. Self-instruction techniques focus on positive self-words that can control behavior. The self instruction technique in this research was applied through the media guide. The purpose of this study is to improve the self-discipline of high school students through self-instruction technical guidance. The research method used was an experimental one type pretest-posttest design. The population of this research is the XI grade students of SMAN 1 Srengat. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection instrument used was a scale of self-discipline. Data results from these instruments were analyzed using paired sample tests with the help of SPSS for windows with a significance value of 0.004 <0.05. This means that there are differences in the level of student self-discipline before and after the self instruction technique guide is given. The difference shows that the self instruction technique guide is effective for improving the self-discipline of high school students.
