Abstract

The most prominent discrimination against persons with disabilities (PwD) is exclusion in education opportunity, even though the rights of persons with disabilities to pursue education have been guaranteed by the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The research is the first step for an effective model of counseling services for students with disabilities. Rule Mapping for counseling with qualitative research carries out with three methods under the online survey, the Nominal Group Technique (NGT), and Focus Group Discussion (FGD. With 33 Respondents for the study are the students with intellectual and mental disabilities, Deaf, blind, and physically disabled. Data use interactive and thematic analysis. The result shows an overview with map counselling for students with disabilities on services.

Abstract

The desire to survive is a basic human instinct, but the transitions and role changes in adolescence could paradoxically trigger suicidal ideation. In this correlational study (N = 202, 86.14% female; age range 12-20 years, Mage = 19, SDage = 2.77), we examined the extent to which adolescents' suicidal ideation (Scale for Suicide Ideation: SSI) could be predicted by levels of their perceived social support (Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support: MSPSS), self-efficacy (General Self-Efficacy Scale), and depression (Beck Depression Inventory: BDI-II). We found that these three variables simultaneously predicted suicidal ideation by 52%. Self-efficacy perceived social support, and depression also partially predicted suicidal ideation (11.2%, 29.2%, and 47.12%). Mental health promotion, prevention programs, and coping strategies focusing on suicidal ideation would benefit from an early identification of how these three variables may interact with each other in adolescents.

Abstract

Character building education in Indonesia has officially become a new regulation in the aspect of education therefore several state-owned schools have implemented a full-day system. The school system and the presence of student are complementary components, students' perspective upon themselves and the school environment as part of well-being fulfillment. The purpose of this study was to determine the state of school well-being of elementary school students and junior high school students who implemented the full-day system. This research was a comparative quantitative study with accidental sampling technique. This research was conducted in Malang, involving 285 students from five elementary schools and 275 students from three junior high schools as participants. The research instrument used was the School Well-being Profile (SWP). The data analysis using independent two-sample t-test with Welchs t-test method. The results showed there were differences in school well-being in elementary and junior high school students in full-day systems. Elementary students have higher school well-being compared to junior high school students. Furthermore, the results of this study can be used as a reference to provide counseling services in improving school well-being of full day school students, especially junior high school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the role of mental health literacy (MHL) and resilience in predicting psychological well-being (PWB) among university students, with perceived social support (PSS) as a mediating factor. A quantitative correlational design with mediation analysis was employed, involving 600 undergraduate students recruited through purposive sampling. Data were collected using validated self-report instruments, namely the Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire for Young Adults (MHLq), the Connor–Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and the Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWB). Mediation modeling was conducted in JASP using linear regression and bootstrapped indirect effect testing. The results showed that both MHL and resilience significantly and positively predicted PWB, with resilience emerging as the stronger predictor. Moreover, PSS partially mediated the relationships between both predictors and PWB, although the indirect effect of MHL through PSS was relatively small. These findings highlight the importance of integrating psychoeducation on mental health literacy with resilience training and peer support systems in higher education. Theoretically, this study enriches the positive psychology framework by demonstrating the interplay between internal strengths and external supports in fostering student well-being.
