Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT Natural rubber is an agricultural commodity that has advantages and potential competitiveness. Indonesia has the largest area of natural rubber plantations, but has not been able to make Indonesia the largest rubber exporting country in the world. Land productivity in Indonesia is still low and the quality of natural rubber produced is less than optimal. Demand for rubber in the world is increasing, and the intense competition between Indonesia's natural rubber exports and competing countries shows that it is necessary to increase competitiveness for Indonesia to be able to compete and survive in the international market. The research objectives are to analyze market structure, comparative advantages, and the position of Indonesia. This research is quantitative research. Secondary research data. Data analysis used the Herfindahl Index (HI), Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Trade Specialization Index (ISP). The HI result of 0.1362 shows that the market structure of the five exporting countries has an oligopoly market structure. The comparative advantage results show that Ivory Coast produces the highest RCA of 81.9, Thailand 29.6, Indonesia 28.1, Vietnam 6.0 and Malaysia 5.7 This shows that these five countries have strong competitiveness in the 10 destination countries. The ISP results show that Indonesia is at the maturity stage, 0.975 and is in a position as an exporter of natural rubber in the world.

Abstract

The use of plastic in food packaging and the high amount of plastic waste generated worldwide, including Indonesia, are serious threats to the environment. In addition, synthetic plastics in food packaging can also harm human health. Bioplastic products from natural ingredients and waste materials are developed as an alternative to reduce these risks. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of starch concentration from melinjo seeds (Gnetum gnemon L.) with a combination of glycerol from waste cooking oil and chitosan substances from waste fish scales on the physical properties and biodegradability of bioplastics. To make bioplastic samples, the variation of melinjo seed starch concentration used in this study was 5, 10, and 15 grams with additional ingredients of 1 ml of glycerol and 1 gram of chitosan for each sample. Bioplastics were made at 32°C for 72 hours. Bioplastic properties were tested by conducting several tests such as swelling percentage, water and temperature resistance tests, tensile strength tests, elongation tests, and biodegradation tests. Based on this study, plastic with a composition of 5 grams of starch, 1 ml of glycerol, and 1 gram of chitosan produces the best physical characteristics of bioplastics and good reasonable biodegradation rates. Further research is recommended by increasing the concentration of starch, glycerol, and chitosan to produce better-quality bioplastics to be used as an alternative to commercial plastics.

Abstract

The strength of the customary law adhered to by the Baduy traditional community comes from internal factors originating from the characteristics of the community itself, which believes in the values contained in its customary law. The implementation of the fulfillment of civil rights following the Constitutional Court decision NO.97/PUU-XIV/2016 has not been fully felt by the Baduy community, one of which is in the process of registering marriages, where until now marriage registration is still only recorded in marriage certificates issued from the village. In writing this article, research methods were used with primary and secondary data collection. The results of the research show that the State's efforts to fulfill the civil rights of believers in Indonesia have been implemented with the Constitutional Court Decision Number 97/2016 as a first step in eliminating discrimination in population registration, but its implementation requires different methods in each region and region, especially for the community. adherents of the Sundanese Wiwitan Baduy belief who strongly maintain the traditions and messages of their ancestors. As for Regional Regulation no. 8 of 2015 concerning Recognition, Protection and Empowerment of the Kasepuhan Customary Law Community, which is proof that the existence of the Baduy customary law community is actually recognized by the State.

Abstract

Abstract

Invasive alien weeds are plant pests because they can interfere with the growth and productivity of surrounding plants. Studies of invasive alien weeds, inventory of species, and their dispersal are important not only in conservation environments but also in study areas in educational institutions such as universities. This research was conducted with the aim of being an initial study to determine the types and distribution vectors of invasive alien weeds in the study area of the biology garden of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung which have the potential to disrupt the surrounding ecosystem. Weed sampling was carried out by purposive sampling exploration method in the biology garden area of the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Based on the inventory results, a total of 16 species and 8 families of invasive alien weeds were obtained with the most families coming from the Asteraceae family. The invasive alien weed seed dispersal vectors include wind, water, and animals. Most invasive alien weed species found in the sampling sites have wind and animal dispersal vector types (31.25%). Seed dispersal by animals and wind has an effective dispersal rate because the range of distribution is quite wide. In addition, the characteristics of seeds, the ability to adapt and develop in new environments in plants such as species of the Asteraceae family can cause their invasion to take place quickly and massively.
