Abstract

Overfishing, the use of unfriendly-environmental fishing gears, changes of environmental water conditions and diversity of habitats are threaten the continuity of Bujuk fish (Channa lucius) and generate the morphologycal diversity. Consequently, appropriate conservation efforts are needed to preserve the fish. The first phase of these efforts were done through morphological approach. The research was held in 2010 in Singkarak Lake West Sumatera Province, in floodplain, Pematang sub-district Lindung Mendahara Ulu Regency East Tanjung Jabung, Province of Jambi, and in floodplain Mentulik Regency Kampar Kiri Hilir Riau Province. The aims of the research were to analyze the morphological characteristic of the fish with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and to determine the range of similarity between populations of the fish. Determination of the location of fish sampling was conducted by proposive sampling in which there were 30 samples for every research location. The measurement of the specimen was done by digital calipers on the left of the body, at 4 meristic characters and 19 morphometric characters. The data obtained were analyzed by One Way ANOVA and principal component analysis using Statistical software version 13. The results showed that based on the analysis of morphological characteristics of bujuk fish, populations that exist in Lake Singkarak were different from those of Pematang Lindung floodplain sub-district Mendahara Ulu Regency East Tanjung Jabung Jambi Province and Mentulik Regency floodplain Kampar Kiri Hilir Province Riau. The meristic difference was on the number of scales along the lateral line with a value of 0.783. While the main difference on morphometric characters were the snout length with a value of 0.848, and length of upper jaw with a value of 0.847. Thus, the study showed that the fish was isolated geographically into two groups, which were Jambi-Riau population and Singkarak Lake population.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar Biologi siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Padang Gelugur Kab. Pasaman dengan menggunakan multimedia berbasis Macromedia Flash dengan tampilan powerpoint pada materi Sistem Produksi Manusia. Penentuan kelas sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas XI IPA 2 berjumlah 31 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 4 berjumlah 30 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif dengan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 86.12 dan kelas kontrol 76.0. Uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t diperoleh nilai thitung 3.65> ttabel 1.68 (? 0.05), berarti H1 diterima. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia berbasis Macromedia Flash dengan tampilan powerpoint pembelajaran konvensional. Metode pembelajaran ini memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 76%.

Abstract

The seventh grade science teacher at MTsN 3 Kota Pariaman has problems in developing an instrument for assessing higher order thinking skills. In the 2013 curriculum, teachers are required to be able to provide questions in the C4-C6 domain, namely High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). This study aim to produce a valid and practical assessment instrument for higher order thinking skills on environmental pollution material at the C4-C6 cognitive level. The background of this research is that the questions made by the teacher are still at the C1-C3 level and there are still obstacles for teachers in developing higher order thinking skills assessment instruments, while inthe 2013 curriculum teachers are required to be able to provide questions in the C4-C6 domain. This type of research is research development (Research and Development) which is a research method used to produce certain products. This type of research uses 3 stages of the 4-D model, namely the define, design and develop stages.Based on the research conducted, a very valid assessment instrument of 3,32 was produced by thevalidator, the empirical validity there were 30 valid questions and 10 invalid questions, the reliability in this study was 0,77 with the category of reliability, 94,79% teacher practicality and practicality. students amounted to 80,80%, the difficulty level of the questions was between 0,31 to 0,70 with moderate criteria and the question difference had sufficient criteria. This research can be used as a reference for other researchers related to the development of higher order thinking skills assessment instruments.Keywords : High Order Thinking Skills, Validity

Abstract

his research is motivated by students who have difficulty in the online learning process is the low learning outcomes obtained from students. This study aims to analyze what factors influence the biology learning difficulties of students in class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 8 Padang during online learning and to determine the relationship between students' learning difficulties in biology through online learning and student biology learning outcomes. This research is descriptive research. The population of this research is class XI IPA which consists of 3 classes totaling 110 students. The research sample amounted to 33 students. The sampling technique is a random sampling technique with a sample proportion of 30%. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and then a t-test to determine the correlation. The results showed that the highest score of the student learning difficulty factor was 2.81, namely the motivation and interest in student learning factors, and the lowest difficulty factor obtained a score of 2.44, namely social interaction. There is a relationship between students' learning difficulties in biology through online learning with biology learning outcomes with a value of r = 0.520; the coefficient of tcount value of 4.642 is greater than ttable of 2.040, so it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning difficulties in biology through online learning and student learning outcomes and there are suggestions for schools to be positive inputs in efforts to build and improve models. online/online learning and is also able to improve student learning and it is hoped that teachers and parents can recognize and observe online learning difficulties experienced by these students.

Abstract

Danau Maninjau merupakan salah satu dari lima belas danau prioritas nasional yang ditetapkan berdasarkan Peraturan Presiden Republik Indonesia Nomor 60 Tahun 2021 tentang Penyelamatan Danau Prioritas Nasional. Danau ini merupakan kawasan strategis Provinsi Sumatera Barat dengan fungsi utamanya sebagai wisata alam, pembangkit listrik tenaga air (PLTA), perikanan tangkap, dan budidaya ikan dengan keramba jaring apung. Kualitas air Danau Maninjau sudah tercemar berat, akibat beban limbah dari aktifitas budidaya ikan keramba jaring apung sehingga tidak dapat mendukung secara optimal kegiatan budidaya ikan di keramba jaring apung. Oleh karena perlu dilakukan usaha budidaya ikan di lahan darat dalam rangka alih lokasi budidaya ikan. Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat adalah mengimplementasikan budidaya ikan di kolam terpal dan pembuatan pakan ikan berbasis sumberdaya local untuk kelompok petani ikan dengan mengikutsertakan mahasiswa prodi akuakultur Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan Universitas Bung Hatta untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesejahteraan pembudidaya ikan KJA. Sekaligus menambah wawasan mahasiswa Jurusan Budidaya Perairan Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Bung Hatta dalam proses Belajar Merdeka Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Hasil pelatihan secara kuantitas dari 20 peserta pelatihan yang terdiri dari 10 pembudidaya ikan dan sepuluh mahasiswa, sebelum pelatihan pengetahuan peserta pelatihan mendapat skor rata-rata 40. Setelah pelatihan, peserta pelatihan mendapatkan skor rata-rata 85. Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa pelatihan telah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta tentang budidaya ikan lele di kolam terpal dan pembuatan pakan ikan berbasis sumber daya lokal

Abstract

Pemberdayaan UMKM sebagai strategi penguatan ekonomi masyarakat telah menjadi fokus utama pemerintah dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat. Dengan menerapkan konsep green economy, terutama melalui ketahanan pangan, pemerintah berupaya meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat dengan mempromosikan konsumsi ikan, salah satunya ikan lele. Ikan lele asap (salai limbek) menjadi salah satu sumber protein berkualitas tinggi, namun sayangnya merupakan makanan kelas premium karena harganya yang relatif mahal. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kendala seperti keterbatasan bahan baku ikan lele segar, lama proses pengasapan, dan produksi terbatas akibat jangkauan pemasaran yang masih terbatas. Hal tersebut dirasakan oleh UMKM Salai Limbek Nita, produsen ikan lele asap di Nagari Sungai Puar, Kabupaten Agam, Sumatera Barat. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, tim pengabdi berdedikasi untuk membantu UMKM dengan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan budidaya pembesaran ikan lele, pembuatan oven untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pengasapan, desain kemasan dan labeling, serta membangun sistem e-commerce guna memperluas jangkauan penjualan. Pelatihan yang diikuti oleh 35 peserta dari unsur masyarakat, UMKM, perangkat nagari, tokoh masyarakat, dan petugas penyuluh kabupaten. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan kepuasan peserta pelatihan. Sementara bagi mahasiswa yang dilibatkan (program MBKM) terjadi peningkatan softskill dan hardskill melalui partisipasi dalam kegiatan PKM tersebut. Secara umum kegiatan ini diharapkan akan berdampak pada lingkup yang lebih luas yaitu terjadinya peningkatan ekonomi lokal dan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara keseluruhan

Abstract

Pakan komersial menyumbang hingga 85% dari biaya produksi dalam pembenihan ikan gurami, dengan kenaikan harga yang berdampak pada efisiensi produksi. Optimalisasi feeding rate (FR) dan feeding frequency (FF) sangat penting dalam pengelolaan pakan. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh kombinasi FR dan FF terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan dan pemanfaatan pakan pada benih ikan gurami. Rancangan acak lengkap faktorial digunakan dengan dua tingkat FR (3% dan 6%) serta tiga tingkat FF (1, 2, dan 3 kali per hari), menghasilkan enam kombinasi perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan. Ikan gurami (0,81 ± 0,02 g; 3,79 ± 0,17 cm) dipelihara selama 60 hari dalam unit dengan volume 20 L dengan kepadatan 1 ekor L⁻¹ dan pergantian air yang seragam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi FR 6% dengan FF tiga kali per hari menghasilkan kinerja pertumbuhan terbaik, dengan bobot akhir (5,74 g), laju pertumbuhan spesifik (3,25% hari⁻¹), pertambahan bobot harian (82,17 mg hari⁻¹), koefisien pertumbuhan termal (4,74), dan faktor kondisi (1,91). Kombinasi FR 6% dengan FF dua kali per hari menghasilkan panjang akhir (6,96 cm), biomassa akhir (113,75 g), hasil bersih (4,87 g L⁻¹), total konsumsi pakan (120,07 g), dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup (100%) tertinggi. Rasio konversi pakan terbaik (0,83) dan efisiensi pakan tertinggi (82,46%) ditemukan pada FR 3% dengan FF tiga kali per hari, meskipun tidak meningkatkan pertumbuhan. Secara keseluruhan, FR 6% dengan FF tiga kali per hari merupakan kombinasi paling efektif untuk mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan dan pemanfaatan pakan (rasio konversi pakan 1,05; efisiensi pakan 81,87%) dan direkomendasikan dalam manajemen pembenihan ikan gurami.Commercial feed accounts for up to 85% of production costs in giant gourami hatcheries, with rising prices impacting production efficiency. Optimizing feeding rate (FR) and feeding frequency (FF) is crucial for managing feed use. This study analyzed effects of different FR and FF combinations on growth performance and feed utilization in giant gourami fry. A factorial completely randomized design was used with two FR (3% and 6%) and three FF levels (1, 2, and 3 times per day), totaling six treatment combinations with three replicates. Giant gourami (0.81 ± 0.02 g, 3.79 ± 0.17 cm) were reared for 60 days in 20 L units at a density of 1 fish L-1, with uniform water exchange. Results showed that FR 6% with FF three times per day yielded the best growth performance, with final weight (5.74 g), specific growth rate (3.25% day-1), daily weight gain (82.17 mg day-1), thermal growth coefficient (4.74), and condition factor (1.91). The FR 6% with FF twice per day combination resulted in the highest final length (6.96 cm), biomass (113.75 g), net yield (4.87 g L-1), total feed consumption (120.07 g), and survival rate (100%). The best feed conversion ratio (0.83) and feed efficiency (82.46%) were observed in FR 3% with FF three times per day, though it did not enhance growth. Overall, FR 6% with FF three times per day was the most effective for optimizing growth and feed utilization (feed conversion ratio 1.05; feed efficiency 81.87%) and is recommended for giant gourami hatchery management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content of heavy metals in the water column, sediment, and meat of Bagarius bagarius fish living in the Batang Kuantan River conservation area. The heavy metals analyzed included Hg, Pb, Cu, Zn, and Cd. The research was conducted between April and May 2022 at three stations in the Batang Kuantan Sijunjung Conservation area. Sample analysis was performed at the West Sumatra Provincial Health UPTD Laboratory. The concentration of heavy metals in the water column, sediment, and fish meat was determined using a spectrophotometer based on the AAS method. The results indicated that Hg (0.015 mg/L) had the highest content in the water column at station 3. In sediment, Zn (30.92 mg/L) showed the highest concentration at station 1, whereas, in fish meat, Pb (15.51 mg/kg) was the highest at station 3. The concentration of Hg in the water column exceeded the quality standard for River Water Quality Standards and the Like Class III, as specified in Appendix VI of Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 22 of 2021 regarding the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, which is 0.002 mg/L. Additionally, the concentration of Cd at station 3 was 3,199 mg/kg, surpassing the sediment quality standard set by the Australian and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council (ANZECC, 2000) of 1.5 mg/kg. The highest concentration of Pb in fish meat was observed at station 3, which exceeded the quality standard for heavy metal Pb in fish meat and processed products according to SNI Number 7387 of 2009, which sets the maximum limit of heavy metal contamination in food at 0.3 mg/kg.

Abstract

The conservation Area (lubuk larangan) is one of the fish resource conservation areas. However, recently, the types of fish that live in this area have become increasingly threatened due to environmental changes and non-selective fishing. Therefore, it is important to study the diversity of freshwater fish in the conservation area (Lubuk Larangan) located along the Bangko River, Luak Kapau Village, South Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia.  This data will be valuable in determining which fish species should be prioritized for domestication as potential candidates for fish cultivation. The process of collecting fish is carried out between June and July 2020 by involving the assistance of local fishermen who use various types of fishing gear, including gill nets, spread nets, trap nets, and fishing rods. The findings from this study revealed the existence of 13 fish species belonging to three orders, six families, and thirteen genera. Among the species collected, the family Cyprinidae was the most dominant, accounting for 61.53% of the total fish population collected, followed by the families Cobitidae, Bangridae, Cichlidae, Mastacembelidae, and Gobiidae, each consisting of 7.69%. of the total. The species Acanopsis octoactinotus was identified as vulnerable, while Sicyopterus aeinsis was classified as near threatened. The level of functioning of the conservation area for fish preservation is 84.35%, which is included in the very well functioning category. Priority should be given to breeding programs and restoration initiatives targeting future populations of endangered freshwater fish.
