Salah satu keberhasilan dalam proses belajar mengajar adalah anak didik dapat menerima dan memahami materi yang disampaikan. Berbagai metode dilakukan dalam menunjang proses belajar mengajar, salah satunya adalah dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran. Dengan mengimplentasikan media pembelajaran yang komunikatif, diharapkan materi dapat lebih mudah diterima oleh peserta didik. Pada penelitian yang peneliti lakukan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia dirancang dengan metode pengembangan Luther, menggunakan software Adobe Flash Action Script 3.0, dimana terdapat fitur-fitur dalam menunjang pembelajaran. Dalam media pembelajaran yang dirancang berfokus pada materi Bahasa Inggris kelas 4 Sekolah Dasar. Aplikasi ini dibagimenjadi beberapa menu, yaitu menu materi dan menu kuis atau soal latihan dan terdapat nilai tertinggi. Dalam penggunaan aplikasi peran guru tetap diutamakan, yaitu guru sebagai pendamping siswa dalam menggunakan.Diharapkan siswa menjadi lebih mudah dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pemahaman membaca literal mahasiswa Teknik Informatika STMIK Duta Bangsa Surakarta dan STMIK Sinar Nusantara Pemahaman membaca literal mahasiswa berdasarkan tiga indikator yaitu; (1) menemukan informasi rinci yang tersurat, (3) menemukan makna kata, dan (3) menemukan kata rujukan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakant tiga tingkat pemahaman membaca. Nilai rata-rata diatas 60 % dikategorikan tingkat mandiri, nilai rata-rata 40 60 % dikategorikan tingkatintruksional, dan nilai rata-rata dibawah 40 % dikategorikan tingkat frustasi.Analisis data meliputi uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas instrumen soal pilihan ganda dengan menggunakan software An Soft 1.0. Setelah hasil analisis soal tersebut valid dan reliabel, soal diujikan ke responden untuk mengetahui hasil rata-rata nilai mahasiswa dari setiap indikator pemahamaman membaca literal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hasil rata-rata mahasiswa proragm studi Teknik Informatika STMIK Duta Bangsa dalam menemukan informasi yang tersurat adalah 63 %, sedangkan mahasiswa STMIK Sinar Nusantara adalah 42,9 %. Hasil rata-rata mahasiswa STMIK Duta bangsa dalam menemukan makna kosakata 54,2 %, sedangkan mahasiswa STMIK Sinar Nusantara adalah 30,7 %. Hasil rata-rata mahasiswa STMIK Duta Bangsa dalam menemukanrujukan kata 60,9 %, sedangkan mahasiswa STMIK Sinar Nusantara adalah 43,5 %. Dari hasil tersebut mahasiswa masih perlu diberikan latihan membaca pemahaman literal dalam proses pembelajaran.

Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian hukum normatif, penelitian dilakukan dengan cara melakukan penelitian dengan mengkaji berbagai norma hukum serta mengkaji pula asas, kaidah serta peraturan perundang-undangan lainya, termasuk juga mengenai berbagai pendapat para ahli hukum serta sumber–sumber hukum lainya. Perjanjian yang para pihaknya adalah WNI dan WNA, merujuk pada UU No.24 Tahun 2009 tentang Bendera, Bahasa dan Lambang Negara dan diperkuat dalam Peraturan Presiden Nomor 63 Tahun 2019 tentang Penggunaan Bahasa. Dalam pelaksanaannya, “Nota kesepahaman atau perjanjian yang melibatkan pihak asing ditulis juga dalam bahasa nasional pihak asing tersebut dan/atau bahasa inggris”. Penggunaan bahasa asing di perjanjian sebagai terjemahan Bahasa Indonesia untuk menyamakan pemahaman perjanjian dengan pihak asing dalam perjanjian yang disepakati. Kesimpulannya bahwa Apabila perjanjian itu dibuat dengan adanya latar belakang yang bertentangan dengan Undang-Undang (perjanjian hanya dibuat dalam bahasa inggris saja) maka dapat dikatakan tidak halal. Supaya memenuhhi syarat sah perjanjian, maka perjanjian yang melibatkan WNI dan WNA wajib dibuat dalam 2 bahasa (bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa asing yang disepakati oleh para pihak dalam perjanjian), Supaya perjanjian tersebut tidak menjadi batal demi hukum (karena tidak terpenuhinya syarat sah perjanjian berupa “adanya sebab yang halal”).

This study uses a qualitative descriptive method.This study aims to analyze the types and reasons for using code switching in the Basboi song entitled Happy Birthday. The data source for this study was taken from the lyrics of the happy birthday song by Basboi. In analyzing the types of code switching, researchers use the theory of Romaine, namely inter-sentential switching, intra-sentential switching and tagswitching. After doing the analysis, there are 2 types of code switching found in this study, namely inter-sentential switching of 2 data, and intra-sentential switching of 9 data. In this research, there was only one reason for using code switching which was found, namely repetition of 1 data.

This study explores the use of illocutionary acts in the movie Where Hope Grows, focusing on the communication dynamics between the main characters, Calvin and Produce. Using a qualitative content analysis approach, the dialogues and interactions between Calvin and Produce were transcribed and coded based on John Searle's Speech Act Theory. The analysis reveals that representative acts account for 42.25% of the total illocutionary acts, while expressive acts account for 29.58%, reflecting the movie's emphasis on emotional expression and personal struggles. Directive acts contribute 23.94%, while commissive acts are found to be only 4.23% and declarative acts are absent. These findings suggest that Where Hope Grows highlights the use of representative and expressive acts to build a narrative based on the characters' beliefs and emotions, while directive and commissive acts are more limited. The study provides insights into how language is used to convey emotions, share thoughts, and influence others within the movie's context, and its implications for communication in various settings, such as personal relationships, education, and counseling.

This study aims to determine the influence of picture as a medium to improve the skills of writing Descriptive at English Study Program, Faculty of Law and Business Duta Bangsa University Surakarta academic year 2021/2022. Research design is action research. Data collection in this study was carried out by means of conducting observations, individual written tests at the end of learning,. Analytical techniques data using descriptive analysis quantitative. Based on the analysis the results evaluation before and after using picture from cycle I to cycle II can be concluded that the learning of Descriptive Writing by using picture can improve student learning outcomes

The use of language as a medium of daily communication is only as a tool to facilitate language understanding without realizing that there is an element of discrimination against a particular gender. Sexist language is often found in novels that demonstrated to real life where people associate and deal with stereotypes in society. This research proposes to explain and describe the sexist language types of the main characters found in Mrs. Dalloway novel based on theory of Sara Mills. The research used a qualitative method by applying a critical discourse analysis. The words, phrases, and sentences from monologues and dialogues reflecting sexism in the novel become the data of the research. Data collection techniques used library techniques, namely documents. The data analysis technique used data reduction, data display, and verification techniques. The results of this research show that Sara Mills sexism theory categorizes sexist language into overt and covert sexism. In Mrs. Dalloway novel, there are four types that are consisted of overt sexism: naming, dictionaries, generic pronouns and nouns, and non-parallel terms. For the covert sexism, there are two types in the novel: presuppositions and metaphor.

Culture is a part and identity of a country that owns it, in Raya animation which is a Disney-made animation made by combining cultures from Southeast Asia. The movie Raya and the Last Dragon can be a means to reflect on the values and perspectives of life related to aspects of locality. This movie also talks about various cultures. Therefore, this research aims to find Indonesia's cultural identity and the message conveyed from the movie with the title "Raya and the Last Dragon." This research was conducted using the qualitative descriptive method, data from various sources to gain a deeper understanding, and data from the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. The primary source of data in this research is the movie "Raya and the Last Dragon." And the results of the data found by researchers are 10 cultures belonging to Indonesia, namely the Roof of Rumah Gadang, Batik Culture, Keris, Gamelan, Wayang, Batik Mega Mendung, Indonesian Food, Pawancarno Gebyok, Caping, and Unity in Diversity. Five of the 10 cultures found have been listed on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list.

Racism is one of the endless global issues, from the past until now the issue of racism has brought a lot of sadness. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series tells about discrimination from various races, especially discrimination against the black race in America. This research was conducted to find out how various aspects of racism are depicted in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series. The method used is Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis with two-stage signification, namely denotation-connotation and myth. The results of this study show that there are depictions of various aspects of racism in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series. There are racial prejudice, racial stereotypes, racial discrimination, and racial violence. Although the racism depicted in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier miniseries is subtle and occurs in various walks of life, it can be fatal.
