Abstract

This article discusses the strengthening of moderation values ​​through learning of creed and morals at MTs Nasyrul Ulum Tempuran Lampung Tengah. Religious moderation is a central issue that is being intensively socialized by the Ministry of Religion as a form of realizing a harmonious Indonesia. Therefore, strengthening religious moderation through educational institutions with a learning process is very appropriate, the values ​​of religious moderation are instilled through the Creed and Morals learning process. This study uses a qualitative method with a type of field research, the author conducted research directly through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that: (1) Strengthening moderation values ​​through Creed and Morals learning at MTs Nasyrul Ulum Madrasah plays a very important role in shaping students' character and attitudes. (2) Strengthening Religious Moderation Values ​​Through Creed and Morals Learning Planning at MTs Nasyrul Ulum has learning objectives, learning materials, learning methods, and learning activities designed in the syllabus and RPP containing moderate values, tolerance, respect for differences and mutual cooperation. (3) Strengthening the Value of Religious Moderation Through Evaluation of Beliefs and Ethics at Mts Nasyrul Ulum Tempuran Lampung. With a planned and systematic evaluation, MTs Nasyrul Ulum can effectively measure and strengthen the value of religious moderation among students. Evaluations that include various methods and involve many parties will provide a more complete picture of how students internalize the values ​​of moderation in everyday life, as well as foster their awareness of the importance of tolerance in a multicultural society.

Abstract

This study is a literature study using bibliometric analysis to evaluate the trend of Differentiated Instruction (DI) learning in high schools from 2019 to 2023 with quantitative methods. Publication and citation data were analyzed to assess the influence and contribution of the research. The PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis) methodology was used to ensure quality and transparency through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion. Data were compiled using Mendeley in RIS format and analyzed with VOSviewer for citation analysis, co-occurrence, and co-authorship. This study reviewed 144 articles from Science Direct, Publish or Perish, Mendeley Reference, Taylor & Francis, Sage Journal, Wiley Journal, and Eric Education Sciences, with 35 articles meeting the inclusion criteria. The results showed an increasing publication trend, with Differentiated Instruction (DI) as the main topic. Countries such as Australia, the Netherlands, and Germany played a significant role. The most frequently used methods were qualitative and quantitative. VOSviewer visualization reveals DI's links to personalized learning, inclusivity, student confidence, and diversity in secondary education. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan studi literatur yang menggunakan analisis bibliometrik untuk mengevaluasi tren pembelajaran Differentiated Instruction (DI) di sekolah menengah atas dari tahun 2019 hingga 2023 dengan metode kuantitatif. Data publikasi dan sitasi dianalisis untuk menilai pengaruh dan kontribusi penelitian. Metodologi PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis) digunakan untuk memastikan kualitas dan transparansi melalui tahap identifikasi, penyaringan, penilaian kelayakan, dan inklusi. Data dikompilasi menggunakan Mendeley dalam format RIS dan dianalisis dengan VOSviewer untuk analisis kutipan, co-occurrence, dan co-authorship. Penelitian ini meninjau 144 artikel dari Publish or Perish, Mendeley Reference dan Taylor & Francis dengan 35 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil menunjukkan tren publikasi yang meningkat, dengan Differentiated Instruction (DI) sebagai topik utama. Negara seperti Australia, Belanda, dan Jerman berperan signifikan. Metode yang paling sering digunakan adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Visualisasi VOSviewer mengungkap keterkaitan DI dengan pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi, inklusivitas, kepercayaan diri siswa, dan keragaman di pendidikan menengah.

Abstract

Akidah Akhlak education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character. The Merdeka Curriculum offers pedagogical flexibility, enabling more interactive and experiential learning approaches. However, its implementation in Islamic schools (madrasah) encounters various challenges that require further investigation. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method at MTsN 1 Tanggamus. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis involving teachers, the school principal, and students. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s framework, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Findings reveal that Merdeka Curriculum-based Akidah Akhlak education significantly fosters students' religiosity, honesty, discipline, and responsibility. However, several challenges persist, including teachers' limited understanding of interactive methods, inadequate technological infrastructure, and insufficient parental involvement. While Merdeka Curriculum-based Akidah Akhlak education effectively nurtures students' character, its optimal implementation necessitates enhancing teachers’ pedagogical competence, improving learning facilities, and strengthening school-family collaboration. Further research with a broader scope is recommended to assess the long-term impact of this learning model.

Abstract

Al-Ghazali was one of the most influential Muslim thinkers. A jurist, logician, theologian, and philosopher, thinker on education in Islamic history and he was honoured in the history of Islam with title of Hujjat al-Islâm. He developed  a  theory of  education  rooted in  his philosophy and  aiming at improving the objectives and principles of education.  According to Ghazali, knowledge can bring us closer to God as well as enhance worldly respect and position. Ghazali based his aims of education on Islamic ideology. According to him, every student should have a shaykh or a mursyid (spiritual guide or teacher) to instruct him and cleanse him of bad manners through the process of tarbiyah, and replace them with good character. The follower of the path requires a mursyid to improve his character and guide him   upon the path towards Allah (SWT) the Exalted. The article shall axplain further Ghazali‟s thought specially in existence of mursyid in spiritual education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a deep learning approach in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to enhance student interaction at SMKN 5 Bandar Lampung. The research is motivated by the low level of student interaction in PAI learning, which is still dominated by conventional and rote-based approaches. This study employed a qualitative phenomenological design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques, with data validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the application of deep learning through mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning significantly improves teacher–student and student–student interactions through reflective dialogue, collaborative discussions, and contextual learning experiences. Supporting factors include teachers’ pedagogical competence, student readiness, and institutional support, while inhibiting factors involve limited instructional time and varied student motivation. The implementation of deep learning in Islamic Education (PAI) not only enhances students’ cognitive understanding but also fosters reflective, social, and spiritual learning experiences through dialogic interaction as a socio-religious construct, while contributing theoretically by extending deep learning into spiritual learning and developing a spiritual pedagogy based on socio-religious interaction.. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning) dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) untuk meningkatkan interaksi peserta didik di SMKN 5 Bandar Lampung. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada rendahnya interaksi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran PAI yang masih didominasi metode konvensional dan berorientasi pada hafalan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologis. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan deep learning melalui integrasi mindful learning, meaningful learning, dan joyful learning mampu meningkatkan interaksi pendidik dengan peserta didik serta peserta didik dengan peserta didik, baik dalam bentuk dialog reflektif, diskusi kolaboratif, maupun keterlibatan aktif dalam mengaitkan materi dengan konteks kehidupan nyata. Faktor pendukung implementasi meliputi kompetensi pedagogik pendidik, kesiapan peserta didik, dan dukungan lingkungan sekolah, sedangkan faktor penghambat mencakup keterbatasan waktu dan heterogenitas motivasi belajar peserta didik. Implementasi deep learning dalam pembelajaran PAI terbukti tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman kognitif, tetapi juga membentuk pengalaman belajar reflektif, sosial, dan spiritual melalui interaksi dialogis sebagai konstruksi sosial-religius, sekaligus menghasilkan kontribusi teoritik berupa perluasan deep learning menjadi spiritual learning dan pengembangan konsep spiritual pedagogy berbasis interaksi sosial-religius.
