Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the farmers' responses to the successful implementation of artificial insemination (AI) technology in beef cattle cultivated in Wajak District, Malang Regency. The method used is a survey involving 100 beef cattle farmers as samples, where the characteristics of the samples used are having at least 3 years of farming experience and the number of samples owned between 2 to 7 heads. Based on the analysis, it was found that farmers' assessment of the role of inseminators, farmers' knowledge of artificial insemination technology, and farmers' assessment of the implementation of artificial insemination were in a good category and the level of satisfaction was very satisfactory.The application of artificial insemination technology has a big influence so it has a good impact on the development of beef cattle farming. The factor that has the highest influence is the variable of breeding experience owned by farmers. Breeding experience is an important factor in developing livestock businesses and greatly influences the successful application of artificial insemination technology. The longer experience farmers have in beef cattle farming, the broader the level of experience they have. This condition makes it effective and easy to implement motivation and innovation to develop beef cattle farming. Therefore, farming experience is a key factor in determining the success of implementing artificial insemination for beef cattle in the Wajak sub-district, Malang district.

Abstract

The financial feasibility analysis was carried out to determine the financial feasibility of the quail egg farming business. This study aims to obtain a calculation of the financial feasibility analysis of quail egg cultivation business fertilized with household organic waste and fresh mogots. The aspects of financial feasibility analysis calculated in this study include HPP, BEP, R/C Ratio, NPV, IRR and PP. The results of the financial feasibility analysis showed: (a) cost of production (HPP) of Rp 26.7882; (b) selling price of IDR 27,000/kg; (c) BEP unit 5,948 and BEP price IDR 217,066,163; (d) NPV with a positive value of Rp 5,107.37; (e) IRR NPV positive 1 is and NPV 701. 287, and NPV positive 2 is 696,011 which indicates a higher figure compared to the bank interest rate which is 212%; (f) R/C Ratio 1.24; (g) The payback period is shorter than the project life, i.e. 1 year, 5 months and 1 day.

Abstract

Sektor peternakan mempunyai potensi yang besar untuk dikembangkan karena pentingnya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan gizi manusia khususnya protein hewani. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profitabilitas peternakan sapi perah di Kecamatan Ngantan Kabupaten Malang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dan deskriptif. Metode analisis yang dilakukan meliputi analisis biaya produksi, penjualan, penjualan, titik impas, rasio R/C, dan rasio B/C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas peternakan sapi perah anggota KUD Sumber Makmur di Kecamatan Ngantan Provinsi Malang mengalami peningkatan signifikan  yang dipengaruhi oleh pendapatan, pengeluaran dan laba tahunan, dan tingkat profitabilitas akan meningkat dari 1,30% pada tahun 2020 menjadi 1,31% pada tahun 2021 dan mencapai 1,33% pada tahun 2022.

Abstract

The women's group empowerment program through innovative beadwork in Kedungkandang District, Malang City, aims to improve members' management, marketing, and skills in creating attractive products. The methods applied include socialization, training, product development, and business assistance. The main works include innovative products, e-commerce websites, and the formation of artisan cooperatives. This program demonstrates excellence in a holistic approach that integrates technical training, creativity, and digital marketing, successfully increasing production capacity and turnover by 100%. Significant impacts are seen in developing innovation, improving entrepreneurial skills, and contributing to women's economic empowerment. Although there are limitations in scale and potential independence in the online market, this program has proven effective in addressing economic empowerment issues and increasing entrepreneurial capacity.ABSTRAKProgram pemberdayaan kelompok wanita melalui karya manik inovasi di Kecamatan Kedungkandang, Kota Malang, bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan manajemen, pemasaran, dan keterampilan anggota dalam menciptakan produk menarik. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, pengembangan produk, dan pendampingan usaha. Karya utama meliputi produk inovatif, situs web e-commerce, dan pembentukan koperasi pengrajin. Program ini menunjukkan keunggulan dalam pendekatan holistik yang mengintegrasikan pelatihan teknis, kreativitas, dan pemasaran digital, berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan omzet sebesar 100%. Dampak signifikan terlihat pada pengembangan inovasi, peningkatan keterampilan kewirausahaan, dan kontribusi terhadap pemberdayaan ekonomi perempuan. Meski terdapat keterbatasan skala dan potensi kemandirian pada pasar online, program ini terbukti efektif dalam menangani persoalan pemberdayaan ekonomi dan peningkatan kapasitas wirausaha.

Abstract

Good Farming Practice merupakan pedoman dalam budidaya yang baik dan benar dalam beternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Evaluasi Usaha Peternakan Pada Penerapan Good Farming Practice di Agroedupark Desa Dalisodo Kecamatan Wagir. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Agroedupark Desa Dalisodo Kecamatan Wagir Kabupaten Malang Provinsi Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini dilakukan dilakukan selama 1 Bulan dari Bulan juli 2023 sampai Agustus 2023.Tujuan utama dari pedoman budidaya ternak kambing dan domba yang baik tersebut yaitu meningkatkan populasi ternak, produksi daging dan produktivitas peternakan. Kementrian pertanian pada tahun 2001 membuat good farming practice peternakan kambing dan domba dengan 4 ruang lingkup yang mencakup sarana, proses produksi, pelestarian lingkungan, dan pengawasan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk menggambarkan keadaan atau kondisi peternakan kambing dan domba di Agroedupark dalam penerapan Good Farming Practice (GFP).Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi. Data sekunder adalah data yang diperoleh dari instansi yang terkait,kantor peternakan didaerah setempat,data BPS,dan buku- buku yang mendukung penelitian publikasi ilmiah dan literatur . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan aspek Good Farming Practice (GFP) usaha peternakan di Agroedupark dari masing- masing aspek sarana 3,15% proses produksi 32%, pelestarian lingkungan 0,3%, dan aspek pengawasan 0,35% .Nilai performa GFP di Agroedupark telah dilakukan meskipun dengan hasil masih kurang baik.

Abstract

With a population of 847,182 people and an area of ​​3,530.65 km2, Malang City produces 3,887,589 kg of beef in 2021 and 4,300,736 kg in 2022. The approach used in quantitative descriptive research is Purposive Sampling. This research sample uses a 10% Slovin objective sample to select a sample of 100 people based on the results of a survey of 1,950 visitors to Pasar Besar and Pasar Oro-Oro Dowo in Malang City. Product price has a positive effect on sales, with a t-table of 4.153-1.985 and a significance level of 0.000-0.05. Based on the calculated t-table of 4.173-1.985 and a significance value of 0.000-0.05, consumer willingness to buy is significantly influenced by the quality of the goods. The calculated t-table of -3.769 ± 1.985 and the significance value of 0.000 ± 0.05 indicate a fairly high correlation between service quality and purchasing decisions. The purpose of this study is to find the impact of factors such as price, product or service quality, and customer interest. The combined impact of X1, X2, and X3 on Y is 0.000 ± 0.05, which is a noteworthy amount. Keywords: Price, product quality, service quality and purchasing interest

Abstract

Wingko bakar is one of the traditional foods typical of Java that has excellent potential as an MSME product. In Klojen Village, Malang City, several small entrepreneurs produce wingko bakar but face obstacles in product packaging. This research aims to analyse the impact of packaging training on improving the quality and competitiveness of baked wingko products in Klojen Village. The method employed is a qualitative approach, utilizing participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The training will be held for 3 days, covering topics such as packaging design, packaging material selection, hygienic packaging techniques, and branding strategies. The research results show that after attending the training, 85% of participants were able to produce more attractive and hygienic packaging, there was an average increase in turnover of 40%, and the baked wingko product received a positive response from consumers. Packaging training has proven effective in improving the competitiveness of wingko bakar products from MSMEs in Klojen Village.ABSTRAKWingko bakar merupakan salah satu makanan tradisional khas Jawa yang memiliki potensi besar sebagai produk UMKM. Di Kelurahan Klojen, Kota Malang, terdapat beberapa pengusaha kecil yang memproduksi wingko bakar namun mengalami kendala dalam hal pengemasan produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak pelatihan pengemasan terhadap peningkatan kualitas dan daya saing produk wingko bakar di Kelurahan Klojen. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama 3 hari dengan materi meliputi desain kemasan, pemilihan bahan kemasan, teknik pengemasan higienis, dan strategi branding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengikuti pelatihan, 85% peserta mampu memproduksi kemasan yang lebih menarik dan higienis, terjadi peningkatan omzet rata-rata sebesar 40%, dan produk wingko bakar mendapat respon positif dari konsumen. Pelatihan pengemasan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan daya saing produk UMKM wingko bakar di Kelurahan Klojen.

Abstract

Charcoal briquettes are one of the alternative energy products that have great potential to be developed as MSME products in Indonesia. In the Dampit District, Malang Regency, several small entrepreneurs produce charcoal briquettes but face obstacles in implementing effective marketing strategies. This study aims to analyze the current marketing conditions of charcoal briquettes, formulate appropriate marketing strategies, and evaluate the implementation of these strategies to improve the competitiveness of charcoal briquette products in the Dampit District. The method employed is a qualitative approach, incorporating participatory observation, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and documentation techniques. The research was conducted among 18 charcoal briquette MSME actors from April to August 2024. The results showed that charcoal briquette marketing conditions still use traditional methods with limited market reach. The implementation of marketing strategies, including market segmentation, product positioning, marketing mix, and digital marketing, yielded positive results, with an average turnover increase of 65%, a market reach expansion of up to 200%, and a 45% increase in brand awareness. Marketing strategies have proven effective in increasing the competitiveness of charcoal briquette MSME products in Dampit District.ABSTRAKArang briket merupakan salah satu produk energi alternatif yang memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan sebagai produk UMKM di Indonesia. Di Kecamatan Dampit,  Kabupaten Malang, terdapat beberapa pengusaha kecil yang memproduksi arang briket namun mengalami kendala dalam strategi pemasaran yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi pemasaran arang briket saat ini, merumuskan strategi pemasaran yang tepat, dan mengevaluasi implementasi strategi pemasaran terhadap peningkatan daya saing produk arang briket di Kecamatan Dampit. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan terhadap 18 pelaku UMKM arang briket selama periode April-Agustus 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi pemasaran arang briket masih menggunakan cara tradisional dengan jangkauan pasar terbatas. Implementasi strategi pemasaran yang meliputi segmentasi pasar, positioning produk, marketing mix, dan pemasaran digital menunjukkan hasil positif dengan peningkatan omzet rata-rata sebesar 65%, perluasan jangkauan pasar hingga 200%, dan peningkatan brand awareness sebesar 45%. Strategi pemasaran terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan daya saing produk UMKM arang briket di Kecamatan Dampit.

Abstract

This study profiles the phenotypic characteristics and production performance of Peranakan Ongole (PO) bulls in Bojonegoro Regency, an officially designated PO cattle breed-source site, and evaluates their capacity to support sustainable community-based breeding. A descriptive-quantitative survey was conducted over two months in three subdistricts (Tambakrejo, Sekar, and Kedungadem), selecting 180 purposively sampled bulls aged ≤50 months. Primary data comprised qualitative (coat color, horn shape, ear hair pigmentation, and other SNI–specified traits) and quantitative (heart girth, body length, height at rump) phenotypic measurements; secondary data on birth, weaning, and one-year body weights were obtained via farmer questionnaires, key-informant interviews, and official records. Descriptive statistics revealed that all sampled bulls met SNI qualitative standards, with the sole exception of progressive ear-hair graying in mature animals. Quantitative traits consistently exceeded Class I SNI minimum (such as mean chest girth 163–191 cm; body length 130–158 cm; withers height 130–141 cm). Mean production weights were 20.0 ± 3.3 kg at birth, 116.5 ± 9.0 kg at weaning, and 138.3 ± 13.6 kg at one year, surpassing or matching earlier reports. Observed genotype, environment synergy, driven by abundant local forage and traditional management, underscores the bulls’ preserved genetic merit and breeding potential. These findings furnish a strategic basis for selective male choice and policy interventions to enhance PO genetic improvement and breeder livelihoods in Bojonegoro.
