Abstract

The number of cyberbullying cases in Indonesia is one of the highest in the world. Cyberbullying could impact the victims to have low academic motivation, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Most of the cyberbullying victims are high school students. Therefore, the training is designed to provide student knowledge about forms, characteristics, and the negative impacts of cyberbullying, so that students can overcome the impact. The training used a single-group pretest-posttest design, in which participants' knowledge and attitude were measured before and after training was delivered. The module contains two main topics: knowledge of cyberbullying, and how to make friends in a digital environment safely. As much as 60 students participated in the training. The result showed that there is an increasing score from pre-test to post-test (from 7.13 to 72). It can be concluded that the contents of the training could increase participants' knowledge regarding cyberbullying.

Abstract

The more severe academic and psychosocial problems make young adult migrant students tend to have academic resilience to avoid psychological distress which could adversely affect their academic performance. One of the factors that help students to become resilient is protective factors, namely social support from the closest environment. Being away from family and relatives makes peers become the most intimate environment for young adult migrant students. Another consideration is that undergraduate young adult migrant students are at the stage of development where peers have a crucial role at this stage development. Based on this phenomenon, the present study is aimed to find out whether there is a correlation between peers’ social support and academic resilience among young adult migrant students. Social support itself is divided into two main categories: assistance related and non-assistance related. Participants in this study were 101, 17-25-year-old migrant students with at least 6-month experience studying in Jakarta and living without their parents. The research used a quantitative non-experimental method, employing the questionnaire of Social Provisions Scale and Academic Resilience Scale. The results of the correlation test (Spearman test) indicated that there was a significantly positive relationship between peer social support (assistance related r 0.472 (p = 0.00 0.05) and non-assistance related r 0.569 (p = 0.00 0.05)) and academic resilience among young adult migrant students. This result shows that that the higher the social support provided by peers, the higher the academic resilience of young adult migrant students will be.

Abstract

Topik well-being pada remaja Indonesia merupakan salah satu isu penting yang harus diperhatikan Indonesia, khususnya kesejahteraan di sekolah. Untuk dapat mencapai kondisi wellbeing, siswa membutuhkan dukungan sosial dari lingkungannya. Pada remaja, guru menjadi agen yang sangat potensial dalam memberikan dukungan. Namun demikian, dengan karakteristik unik yang dimiliki remaja, tidak semua guru memiliki wawasan yang memadai untuk dapat memberikan dukungan yang efektif bagi remaja. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang pemberian dukungan efektif untuk remaja. Kegiatan ini berbentuk psikoedukasi untuk guru-guru sekolah yang menjadi mitra Fakultas Psikologi Universitas YARSI, yaitu SMP Al-Khairiyah 2 Jakarta Utara. Berdasarkan Psikoedukasi yang dilakukan pada tanggal 20 Januari 2022, diketahui terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan guru dalam memberikan dukungan efektif pada remaja yang terlihat dari perbedaan skor pre dan post test (t=-4.328, p<.01). Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif kepada guru pada aspek kognitif. Untuk dapat memberikan dampak yang lebih optimal, diperlukan pelatihan lanjutan terkait keterampilan spesifik yang diperlukan guru untuk memberikan dukungan pada siswa.

Abstract

Kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat desa Tanjung Pasir sangat minim, pengetahuan umum untukmemberdayakan sumber daya alam masih kurang. Sekitar 70 % masyarakat desa tidak mengenyampendidikan dan buta huruf, sehingga kesempatan gratis yang ditawarkan dari pihak luar program CSRkurang dimanfaatkan. Selain itu kesadaran masyarakat untuk menghargai uang dan waktu sangat minim, sering kepesta dan konsumtif, pinjam uang ke rentenir dengan bunga 5 % sebulan. Kegiatanibadah tidak maksimal, karena pemahaman terhadap Alquran sangat kurang. Mereka lebih banyakmenghapal bacaan Alqur'an, tidak mengenal huruf Alquran . Kegiatan pengabdian ini mengunakanmetode pendekatan dan partisipasi mitra dengan membentuk Kelompok Belajar baca tulis huruf latindengan metode Abjad, dan mengenal huruf Alquran secara benar dengan metode Al Bayan. Hasilkegiatan pengabdian ini dari 80 % jumlah peserta yang ditargetkan keberhasilannya untuk membacahuruf latin dan Baca Alquran, ternyata hanya terealisir 76 % untuk membaca dan tulis huruf latin ,serta 65 % untuk membaca Alquran. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menambahan keyakinan merekadan ekonomi keluarga meningkat dengan kesiapan mereka mengikuti pelatihan program CSR, tanpaharus meminjam kerentenir.

Abstract

Indonesia is prone of earthquakes as it is located within ‘ring of fire’. Each disaster causes loss and grief which can lead to injuries and depression if untreated. Psychological First Aid (PFA) aims to reduce the initial distress of a traumatic event and to promote adaptive functioning and coping both in the short and long term. Trained laypersons are also able to provide psychological support which may reduce the stress experienced by survivors. Two-days Psychological First Aid training was conducted in Universitas YARSI with 36 participants consisted of students, lectures, and education-supporting staff to increase their awareness on physical and psychological state of post disaster survivors and to know when to refer to a professional. Pre- and Post-tests were conducted in 23 participants who attended the second day of training. A t-test demonstrated insignificant increase (t=1.95; p=.06) in participants’ knowledge on psychological states and in providing psychological support for survivors. The benefits and limitations of the training were discussed.

Abstract

Abstract. One of the common social problems in Jakarta is a people chaos and brawl between societies. Some cases that often occured in the Central Jakarta area, most of the motives of residents who participated in the brawl were not certain, and also from which communities or regions they came from. Most of the brawlers are teenagers. Teenagers are in a period of an unstable emotional conditions so that easily provoked to follow brawls without knowing the root of the problem and its consequences. Brawl is a form of mass aggression. One of the factors of drives aggression is the regulation of emotions which are not good and right. Therefore, the intervention model that will be applied to adolescents in community service is group emotional regulation training. This training program is carried out for a full day, including induction and release of negative emotions, sharing knowledge about emotions and regulation, and stimulating positive emotions. The training was given to 17 teenagers from the Harapan Mulya village neighborhood, especially from Forum Remaja (Local Youth Forum). Measurement of emotional changes and the level of aggressiveness is examined by giving pre and post-test before and after training, using the scale of Aggression and VAS. The results of statistical analysis show that the average score of aggressiveness decreased after being given training. It means that the emotion regulation training was effectively reduce the aggressiveness of the adolescence.  Abstrak. Salah satu permasalahan sosial yang jamak terjadi di daerah Jakarta adalah tawuran antar warga. Seperti kasus yang sering muncul di daerah Jakarta Pusat, kebanyakan dari warga yang mengikuti tawuran tersebut tidak diketahui secara pasti motifnya dan dari kelompok atau wilayah mana yang bersangkutan berasal. Sebagian besar pelaku tawuran tersebut adalah remaja. Remaja berada pada masa kondisi emosi yang labil sehingga  mudah terprovokasi untuk mengikuti tawuran tanpa mengetahui akar masalah dan konsekuensinya. Tawuran merupakan bentuk agresi massa, di mana salah satu faktor yang mendorong agresi adalah regulasi emosi yang kurang baik dan tepat. Oleh karena itu, model intervensi yang akan diterapkan pada para remaja dalam pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah pelatihan regulasi emosi kelompok. Program pelatihan ini dilaksanakan selama sehari penuh, meliputi induksi dan pelepasan emosi negatif, pemberian materi tentang emosi dan regulasinya, serta stimulasi emosi positif. Pelatihan diberikan kepada 17 orang remaja dari lingkugan kelurahan Harapan Mulya, khususnya Forum Remaja setempat. Pengukuran perubahan emosi dan tingkat agresivitas dilakukan dengan memberikan pre dan post-test sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, menggunakan skala Agresi dan VAS. Hasil analisis statistik dengan melihat perubahan rata-rata skor antara pre dan post-test menunjukkan penurunan tingkat agresivitas setelah diberikan pelatihan.

Abstract

September 2021, Kemenkes RI mencatatkan 8050 anak ( 0 – 14 tahun) terinfeksi HIV. DKI Jakarta, penduduk 10.467.629, dengan 1026 ADHA, yang tercatat lebih rendah dari faktanya. Anak terlahir HIV positif bisa tertular didalam kandungan, persalinan atau ASI. Selain memberikan pola asuh kurang tepat tepat, permasalahan lain yang dihadapi pengasuh ADHA adalah pembukaan status anak kepada kepada anaknya. Anak sering bertanya kondisi fisiknya, orang tua yang mengawasi penuh serta minum obat rutin. Untuk menghindari anak mendapatkan informasi salah, orang tua harus membuka status anak jika tiba saatnya. Hal tersebut mengejutkan anak dan menimbulkan reaksi negatif,sedih, tidak menerima, marah, kecewa, rendah diri bahkan depresi. Jika menyampaikannya tidak tepat, akan berdampak pada kondisi psikologis anak. Kondisi psikologis anak harus diperhatikan setelah pembukaan status. 30 ibu HIV, 5 PDHA dan 30 ADHA pelatihan dan testimony menghadapi situasi tersebut dengan tetap sehat dan bergembira. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Pengmas berjalan lancar dan cukup efektif.

Abstract

Phubbing is a behavior where someone uses their smartphone while interacting with others, engrossed in playing with their phone and avoiding direct communication. There are several factors that cause individuals to perform phubbing behavior. Some of these factors are smartphone addiction, Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), and low self-control. In today's era, smartphones contribute significantly to facilitating various activities in society. However, uncontrolled smartphone use can lead to various negative effects, one of which is phubbing behavior. This study was conducted to examine the correlation between self-control and phubbing behavior among college students. This research is non-experimental quantitative research with a correlational design. The sampling technique that used is accidental sampling with the number of samples obtained as many as 236 samples. The instruments used in this study are the Phubbing Scale (PS) and the Self Control Scale (SCS). Based on the results of this study showed that self-control has a significant and strong negative relationship with phubbing behavior among collage students.

Abstract

For Muslims, halal and thayyiban in food and drink is an obligation. The importance of understanding for UMKM (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) regarding the use of halal raw materials in making food products must be increased, so that these business actors only make halal and thayyib food. Based on Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantees, every food, drink and even medicine product circulating in Indonesia is required to have a Halal Certificate. The importance of understanding the selection of halal raw materials and thayyib is an important support in the halal product certification process. Halal and thayyib socialization program from a psychological and Islamic approach aims to increase the knowledge of micro, small and medium enterprises. Then, they can register their products to obtain a Halal Certificate. Halal certificate is one of criteria for the public to consume food and drinks, so that the general public does not worry about the food or drinks they consume. The target of this program is JP42 and Optima Food Court YARSI business owner in Central Jakarta. The program was implemented on Wednesday - Thursday, 24-25 January 2024. The result on pre-test and post-test  were processed using JASP Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Based on statistical analysis, the results showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding oh halal and thayyib raw materials, how to process them, and how to obtain them. With this increase in knowledge, it is hoped that business actors can register their business products to obtain a Halal Certificate.
