Abstract

Indonesia, with its abundant cultural diversity, faces major challenges in implementing multiculturalism, especially among the younger generation. History learning based on the concept of Nusantara multiculturalism is in line with the values of Pancasila. This study aims to explore the concept of Nusantara multiculturalism through historical studies and implement Nusantara multiculturalism in history learning at the high school level, with an emphasis on the application of Pancasila values. The research method used is a literature study, which collects information from various literature related to multiculturalism, Pancasila, and history education. The results of the study show that the concept of Nusantara multiculturalism has been laid as a strong foundation since the Majapahit Kingdom, emphasized by youth organizations and used as a guideline in national and state life based on Pancasila. The implementation of Nusantara multicultural education based on history learning can strengthen students' social awareness and nationalism, although there are challenges in its implementation, such as teacher readiness and curriculum limitations. Therefore, the development of a more inclusive curriculum and training for educators is very necessary.

Abstract

The Damarwulan–Minakjinggo story is part of the traditional Langendriyan art heritage and developed in Banyuwangi. This story depicts the conflict between Damarwulan and Minakjinggo. Historically, this story was used by the Mataram Sultanate to build political legitimacy by depicting Minakjinggo as rebels, while the Dutch adapted the narrative to stigmatize the Blambangan community. This study aims to examine the origins, transformations, and impacts of this performance in a political and cultural context, using historical methods with a deconstruction approach from Derrida. The discussion highlights how this story was transformed into a tool for political legitimacy, as well as how the Banyuwangi community reconstructed the story to strengthen local identity. The implications of this study indicate that the transformation of the Damarwulan-Minakjinggo story strengthens local identity and makes art a means of resistance to dominant narratives. In conclusion, this story reflects how art and historical narratives can adapt to social and political changes, and enrich understanding of cultural identity that is relevant to modern values.

This study aims to analyze the concept, urgency, and implementation strategy of JSN 45 in strengthening local history learning for students. The approach used in this study is a literature study, by reviewing various academic sources, such as journals, books, and educational policy documents that are relevant to the Instillation of JSN 45 in local history learning. The analysis was carried out using the content analysis method to explore various concepts and practices that have been applied in history education based on national values. The results of the study show that the integration of JSN 45 in local history learning strengthens national identity, prevents social conflict, and instills the values of unity and patriotism. Effective strategies include the use of digital media, project-based learning, and inquiry methods. However, the challenges faced include the lack of integration of local history in the curriculum, limited learning resources, and teacher readiness. Therefore, collaboration between the government, educators, and the academic community is needed to develop an inclusive and multicultural history curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to train the community in producing and packaging sugar ants made from coconut sap. The service location is in Patoman Tengah Hamlet, Patoman Village, Blimbingsari District, Banyuwangi Regency. Meanwhile, the partners that were made the object of service were unproductive groups of people in producing brown sugar and people who had previously produced printed red sugar but had now stopped because of various kinds of problems. The method used in this training is to bring in experts from the Desperindag Banyuwangi who master the field of making ant sugar. The sugar production process of ants in Patoman Village starts from filtering coconut sap using a filter cloth to remove impurities, the clean coconut juice is then put into a pan and then cooked with a stove. After the head juice becomes thick, it is continued by solidification (compaction). Solid coconut sap continues to stir until it becomes a crystal (crystallization). After the crystal is formed, refinement is also carried out by using wood made of pressure. After that filtering is done using a sieve that has been prepared. The ant sugar is then dried under the sun for 3-4 hours. Finally, the packaging of ant sugar is done using plastic and plastic bottles.Â
