Abstract

Music has long been recognized as an effective medium for conveying human emotions and thoughts. Through song lyrics, music not only serves as a means of self-expression but also conveys profound meaning to those who listen to it. Recently, it has become increasingly common for singers to incorporate themes of self-healing into their music. One such artist is Feby Putri in her second album titled Hitam Putih. The lyrics of these songs present several phenomena of self-healing that are particularly intriguing when examined through the lens of Social Semiotics. Therefore, this study aims to (1) analyze the representation of self-healing in the lyrics of Feby Putri’s Hitam Putih album, and (2) identify the elements of social semiotics used in Feby Putri’s Hitam Putih album. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis of the text. The techniques employed include documentation and literature review. Additionally, the data analysis technique selected uses a social semiotics approach, where the analysis stages include identifying symbols within the song lyrics. The analysis process began with a thorough reading of the song lyrics, followed by an analysis of the symbols based on the social semiotics framework, then an interpretation of meaning by linking the symbols to the social context. Finally, the symbols were integrated with social semiotics theory to conclude the representation of self-healing in the lyrics. The results of this album’s research reflect the emotional journey of individuals in facing suffering, self-reflection, and the process of finding inner peace. The lyrics in the Hitam Putih album contain representations of deep emotional experiences, reflecting interpersonal relationships between the singer and the listener through empathetic and personal word choices, and structured in a way that supports cohesive and coherent meaning connections.

Abstract

AbstrakMenulis sebagai materi pembelajaran dapat berupa beberapa bentuk, namun yang sering membuat siswa kesulitan adalah puisi. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk Menghasilkan Buku Panduan Menulis Puisi Menggunakan Model Mind Mapping pada Siswa Kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Research and Development. Tahapan penelitian ini mengacu pada Borg dan Gall yang terdiri dari 9 tahapan yaitu (1) penelitian dan pengumpulan data awal; (2) perencanaan; (3) pengembangan produk awal; (4) uji coba terbatas; (5) revisi untuk ujicoba produk utama; (6) uji coba lapangan; (7) revisi untuk ujicoba produk operasional; (8) uji coba produk operasional; dan (9) revisi produk akhir; dan (10) penyebaran dan penyampaian laporan penelitian. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa yang terdiri dari 13 siswa laki-laki dan 20  siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket, tes, dan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan uji coba yaitu uji coba terbatas, uji coba lapangan, dan uji coba produk operasional. Kategori dari tiap instrumen adalah berkategori œSangat Baik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis independent sample t-test dengan SPSS 17.0. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan menulis puisi yang dikembangkan dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu bahan ajar dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah sekolah menengah pertama Berdasarkan tabel rerata yang didapatkan dari hasil validasi dapat diketahui bahwa rerata skor validasi ahli secra total adalah 3,2 dengan persentase 66,4%. Hasil ini termasuk dalam kategori cukup layak. Deskripsi hasil validasi ahli ini adalah, 1) hasil validasi ahli materi rerata skor adalah 3,8 atau 76,9% dengan kategori layak, 2) hasil validasi ahli desain skor adalah 2,6   atau 52,3% dengan kategori cukup layak, dan 3) hasil validasi ahli bahasa skor adalah 3,2 atau 64,4% dengan kategori cukup layak. Pada aspek kepraktisan yang didapatkan dari hasil angket siswa kelas VII SMPN Nurul Huda Pajaran rerata skor adalah 3,4 atau nilai respon siswa sebesar 85,9% menunjukkan kepraktisan buku panduan menulis puisi berbasis mind mapping yang dikembangkan termasuk pada kriteria Sangat Praktis. Sedangkan pada aspek keefektifan hasil penguasaan materi siswa yang menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 20 dari 23 siswa atau 86,9 % siswa telah memenuhi nilai ketuntasan minimal menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan menulis puisi berbasis mind mapping yang Sangat Efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Pantun (rhymes) is an ancient poetry of Indonesia's intangible cultural heritage. This research aims to develop learning innovations related rhymes by PjBL model with a contextual approach and sociodrama methods. This research uses a qualitative approach and the Borg & Gall development method. Data collection techniques use diagnostic tests, observations and projects, while data analysis techniques use a flowing analysis model. Data verification was used using triangulation techniques. The research data source is junior high school students. Research Location in Malang. The results of data analysis show (1) the implementation of the PjBL learning model with a contextual approach, 98% of learners can make the cover and content of vocabulary used in daily conversations; (2) implementation of the PjBL learning model with a contextual approach and sociodrama method for learning related rhymes 100% complete. Students can change dialogue into related rhymes for role playing. The learning atmosphere is conducived and full of joy. Thus, it is concluded that the implementation of the development of the PjBL learning model with a contextual approach and sociodrama method creates an active, dynamic, fun and meaningful learning atmosphere. With these findings, it is recommended that secondary school teachers can use these findings for learning rhymes so that they are fun and meaningful for students, so that the nation's cultural heritage can be preserved and students' communication becomes more characterful and polite.

Abstract

This research examines the analysis of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari. The problems discussed in this research: (1) What are the types of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari? (2) What is the function of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari? The objectives of this research: (1). Describe the types of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari (2). Describe the function of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research because the data collected is in the form of words. The data and data sources for this research are expressive utterances contained in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari. The data collection technique used in this research is the listening and note-taking method. The data analysis technique in this research was carried out by observing followed by describing the problem with the data. Based on data analysis in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari, the form and function of 20 types of expressive speech acts were found, including the speech acts of agreeing, praising, apologizing, saying thank you, expressing shame, complaining, protesting, sarcastic, expressing desire, expressing surprise, expressing disagreement, expressing pity.
