Abstract

Background: Two stay-two stray is one of the models of learning cooperative learning models based on group work where the teacher divides students into several groups, and each group of students will visit another group (two live two guests) to share knowledge and experience with other group students. Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the use of the Two Stay Two Stray method on student motivation in learning English in class XI IPA.1 MAN 1 Kabupaten Gorontalo. Method: The methodology used in this study is a quantitative research method with One-Shot Case Study research design which is part of Pre-Experimental Design. Results and Discussion: The results showed that there was a significant influence in the use of the Two Stay Two Stray method on learning motivation in learning English. Conclusions and Implications: Based on the research data and description of the data that has been described, the researcher concludes that: The average student learning rate increases after learning by Two Stay Two Stray method, this is evidenced by the results of the assessment of the learning motivation questionnaire and Two Stay Two Stray method to 27 students as experimental classes, prove that there are 17 students classified as criteria very good and 24 students for Two Stay Two Stray method. The use of the Two Stay Two Stray method has proven effective in enhancing student learning motivation. This means that the method can be more widely implemented in classrooms to encourage higher student engagement and improve their learning outcomes. Teachers who adopt this method can expect increased motivation and active participation from most students

Abstract

Pada bidang kesehatan yang ada seperti klinik, puskesmas, dan rumah sakit mulai memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Rumah sakit sebagai salah satu institusi pelayanan kesehatan mempunyai beberapa unit salah satunya unit rekam medis. Unit rekam medis sebagai tempat pengolahan data dan pelayanan sangat butuh dengan teknologi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas sistem pendaftaran online bagi pasien rawat jalan di RSU Bahagia Makassar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa Komponen Sumber Daya Manusia (human), beberapa petugas belum memahami tentang sistem pendaftaran online di RSU Bahagia Makassar sehingga waktu pelayanan pendaftaran online masih belum efektif yang mengakibatkan pasien yang belum sempat melakukan pendaftaran harus datang langsung ke rumah sakit untuk melakukan pendaftaran manual atau langsung. Komponen Organisasi, belum efektif karena tidak adanya kordinasi antara petugas dan kepala rekam medis, tidak ada kegiatan sosialisasi dan pertemuan mengenai sistem pendaftaran online. Dan Komponen Teknologi, dari kualitas informasi belum efektif dikarenkan masih ada pengisisan data pasien yang belum lengkap mesikipun sudah efektif dengan kualitas sistem aplikasi yang sudah mendukung proses sistem pendaftaran online.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder requiring patients to manage and stabilize their condition to prevent complications. Education using e-booklets can facilitate information access and blood sugar control. This study aimed to eval_uate the effectiveness of e-booklet-based education on self-care behavior and blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus patients. Conducted from June to August 2023 at X Hospital's internist clinic in Bandung, the research employed a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design with a control group. The study involved 126 respondents, with 63 in the intervention group and 63 in the control group, selected through purposive sampling. The intervention lasted 4 weeks, covering 8 materials with ongoing monitoring and active participation. Self-care behavior and random blood sugar levels were measured at the beginning and end of the study using the Summary Diabetes Self-Care Activity (SDSCA) questionnaire and blood glucose tests. The Wilcoxon test revealed significant differences in self-care behavior and blood sugar levels before and after the intervention (p < 0.05). The Mann-Whitney test showed significant differences between the intervention and control groups (p < 0.05). Multivariate analysis indicated that age, gender, education, disease duration, and e-booklet-based education accounted for 22.2% of the variance in self-care behavior and 30.6% in blood sugar levels. E-booklet-based education effectively improves self-care behavior and blood sugar control. The study recommends ongoing development and supervision to establish healthy habits and prevent complications.

Abstract

Gorontalo Province is one of the regions on Sulawesi Island that has excellent potential in the agricultural sector, particularly in rice commodities, which play an important role in maintaining food security both at the regional and national levels. Boliyohuto District, located in Gorontalo Regency, is one of the centers of rice production with varied harvesting practices—some farmers still use traditional methods, while others have adopted modern harvesting technology. This research was conducted to compare the effectiveness of using modern and traditional harvesting tools in terms of production results, operational costs, and farmers’ income in the area. Through a quantitative approach using regression analysis, the results of the study indicate that the use of modern harvesting tools has a significant positive effect on work efficiency, crop yield, and farmers’ income. Modern harvesting technology allows the harvesting process to be carried out more quickly, saves labor, and minimizes yield losses compared to traditional methods. Conversely, farmers who still use traditional methods face limitations in terms of time, labor, and productivity. These differences confirm that the implementation of agricultural mechanization plays an important role in increasing productivity as well as improving the welfare of farmers in Boliyohuto District. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of local government support through the provision of agricultural facilities, technical training, and subsidy policies for harvesting tools so that farmers can adapt to developments in agricultural technology. With the implementation of more efficient and sustainable harvesting technologies, the agricultural sector in Gorontalo Province is expected to continue to grow and strengthen food security at both regional and national levels.
