Abstract

This study aims to describe objectively and clearly the shift in the use of the Bugis Barru dialect in Makassar City in a sociolinguistic study. This type of research is qualitative research. The data in this study are in the form of speech by Bugis Barru dialect speakers in Makassar City and data sources from Bugis Barru dialect speakers. Furthermore, the data collection techniques for this study are observation, interviews, and documentation using qualitative analysis as a data analysis technique. The data that has been collected is then analyzed by identifying data based on the focus of the problem and the purpose of the study. The results of the study show that the shift in the use of the Bugis Barru dialect in Makassar City has shifted and the speakers are more dominant in using Indonesian than the Bugis Barru dialect.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and explain the form of compliance with the principle of politeness of language of netizens in discourse on social media Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. This type of research is classified as qualitative research with a descriptive method. The main theory used to analyze the research data is the pragmatic theory, Geoffrey Leech on the principle of politeness of language. The data in this study are written data in the form of text (words or sentences) in the comments column of each political news post or upload. The data sources are obtained from political news uploads (political discourse) on social media Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. This study focuses on the form of politeness of language. The data collection techniques used are observation techniques, documentation techniques, and note-taking techniques. Data analysis goes through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, presentation and analysis of data, and conclusion/verification. The validity of the data is obtained through diligent observation, extended observation, peer examination and discussion, and triangulation. The results of the study indicate that there is compliance with the principle of single language and compliance with the principle of dual language. Compliance with the principles of politeness in a single language can be found in speech on Facebook social media, with one compliance with the principles of language politeness including compliance with the maxims of wisdom/wisdom, there are three (3) in speech data on Facebook social media. Meanwhile, compliance with the principles of dual language politeness can be found in speech on Twitter and Instagram social media with two compliance principles of language politeness at the same time including (1) compliance with the maxim of wisdom/wisdom with compliance with the maxim of agreement/compatibility found in speech data on Twitter social media, (2) compliance with the maxim of wisdom/wisdom with compliance with the maxim of praise found in speech data on Instagram social media.

Abstract

Students' ability in writing rhymes is still lacking. This is mainly due to students' lack of interest in learning. The world of literature for students is still a foreign world and only certain people enter, other problems faced by students include: 1) students find it difficult to issue ideas / ideas that will be put in writing, 2) lack of mastery of vocabulary, 3) difficult to compose sentences in Indonesian that are good and correct. To improve the ability to write poetry, it is necessary to find a solution in the form of a learning method. One of the learning methods that can be applied is the Numbered Heads Together method). In general, Numbered Heads Together is used to involve students in strengthening learning understanding or checking students' understanding of learning material. This study aims to describe the ability to determine rhymes using the Numbered Heads Together Method in Class XSMA Negeri 12 Buru Students. This study was designed using quantitative descriptive methods. Data were collected through research instruments in the form of tests and analyzed using statistical techniques. The results showed that of the 17 research samples who obtained scores of 65 and above were 3 students or 17.6% and the research samples who obtained scores less than 65 were 14 students or 82.3%. Based on the mastery criteria that the research sample is successful if 85% of students get a score of 65 and above, it can be concluded that class X students of SMA Negeri 12 Buru have not been able to determine pantundans using the Numbered Heads Together Method.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter semakin menarik untuk diperbincangkan. Berbagai sektor mulai mencanangkan konsep tentang pendidikan karakter, termasuk juga dalam penyusunan kurikulum pendidikan nasional. Peran guru dalam menyukseskan tujuan kurikulum merupakan hal yang utama. Guru sebagai model yang akan memberikan gambaran bagaimana bentuk karakter yang baik. Memahami dan menerapkan prinsip kesantunan serta strategi kesantunan berbahasa dalam tindak komunikasi akan menghindari kesalahpahaman antarpeserta komunikasi serta dapat mewujudkan keharmonisan hidup bermasyarakat. Penggunaan bahasa yang santun dapat menghargai dan dihargai oleh orang lain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendekripsikan (1) bentuk kepatuhan maksim kesantunan berbahasa (2) alasan dan tujuan dari tuturan yang memuat bentuk kepatuhan, dan (3) peranan kesantunan berbahasa dalam pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatankualitatif. Partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, teknik dokumentasi, teknik catat, teknik simak, teknik rekaman, dan teknik wawancara. Hasil penelitian menenjukkan bahwa terdapat bentuk kepatuhan maksim kesantunan berbahasa oleh guru serta hubungan dengan pembinaan karakter siswa. Penerapan kesantunan berbahasa menurut Geoffrey Leech terdapat 6 bentuk maksim kesantunan berbahasa yang dapat dipakai sebagaisalah satu sarana pembinaan dan penentu tujuan dari pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of text structure, social context, and social cognition of critical discourse in the folklore of “the poor” and “Sense of the Aristocracy”. The research approach used in this research is qualitative. Meanwhile, the type of research used in this study is the study of documents or texts. The research data is in the form of written data in the form of sentences containing text structure, social cognition, and social context in folklore (hikayat) in class X Indonesian language textbooks. The source of data in this study is folklore in class X Indonesian Language and Literature textbooks. X by Suherli, et al. published by the 2017 revised edition of the Ministry of Culture and Education. The data collection technique in this study used library research. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques in this study are processing data and preparing data for analysis, reading all the data, analyzing in more detail by coding the data, applying the coding process to describe themes, showing how these descriptions and themes will be written. in the narrative or qualitative report and finally the interpretation of the data. The results of the study show that the microstructure discusses the elements of the saga of the poor, namely having a setting, details, and intentions that are easy for readers to understand. The author also uses sentence forms and pronouns in accordance with Indonesian Spelling (EBI). Another element in the micro structure is stylistics or figurative language. Complete with the choice of words, sentence forms, and metaphors that use or use many archaic words. In terms of social cognition, the communicator, in this case the author of the novel, seems to want to give a moral message about never giving up, no matter what path of life is given by Allah SWT. In terms of the social context, the writer concludes that this novel was created as an idea that becomes the author's message or message to the reader, which is about never giving up.
