Abstract

The dimension and power of the arts reviewed from an artistic and aesthetic aspect of this article are assessed by its empowerment in the educational process as a teaching and creating medium in The Floating School (TFS) to the discourse toward the arts education problematic holistically. This primary subject constitutes a base of the study to analyze the idea of TFS founders and facilitators to the artistic and aesthetic aspect in its learning object and model, in the study of Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s Pendidikan Kesenian (arts education). The research on this article uses a qualitative-interpretative approach with a study case model to the TFS 2017 program. The viewpoint and understanding of founders and facilitators become a primary data collection through a review of the study document, an applied of a deep interview, and a base of participative observation. The validity of the data collection result is tested by the commensurability test of the data and data resources. By focusing the data on an account and transcript of the interview, data analysis uses an illustrative method through five stages: (1) appreciating the account and transcript of interview; (2) giving a note; (3) formulating a theme; (4) conceptualizing a topic; and (5) adjusting a problem topic, to narrating the result of interpretation with the critical discourse analysis. Thereby, this article shows that the TFS art workshops have a position and role in accompanying and fostering the students to express a story or their understanding of object material and create a message or their processing into the artwork. Those processes and progress finally develop the TFS student’s curiosity and confidence in cultivating their skills and knowledge. This study case is expected to be a power and contribution towards a discipline of arts education.

Abstract

Studies on the main problems of Indonesian Education essentially highlight the educator's capability, professionality, and creativity which the fundamental problem lies in the reproduction and recruitment of educators themselves from the start. The problem becomes more complicated due to the acceleration of digital learning-based learning management systems synchronously/asynchronously, particularly in primary education as the foundation. This is also an observation and concept for the Kurikulum Merdeka implementation to overcome the education crisis through Merdeka Belajar policies, especially the Guru-Sekolah Penggerak program, the Merdeka Berbudaya media, the Merdeka Mengajar platform, and the Kampus Mengajar pattern. Such conditions are the focused study to assess opportunities for digital transformation in the teaching and learning process in elementary school and PGSD based on educators' perspectives on the students' characteristics and tendencies. This study uses a diagnostic case study method to examine the results of reports from related research institutions representatively and interpretively using internet searching techniques to be analyzed using critical discourse analysis to maintain the data commensurability. The report from the RISE Program in Indonesia, INOVASI, UNICEF Indonesia, SMERU Research Institute, and APJII then emphasized that strengthening educator competency, deepening curriculum flexibility, developing digital skills of educators and students, as well as improving teaching and learning platforms and school digital connectivity that focuses on an equitable education ecosystem is a challenge to respond the world education transformation. The results conform with OECD and UNESCO recommendations for embodying an equal and prosperous educational future. Hence, the Merdeka Belajar transition in Dikdas must become the basis for joint study to ensure the direction and realm of the Indonesian education transformation.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan alat perantara yang digunakan guru dalam menyampaikan materi ajar. Keunggulan utama tersedianya media pembelajaran adalah siswa lebih mudah memahami materi ajar dengan baik. Banyak cara dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang menarik, salah satunya melalui teknologi. Wordwall merupakan aplikasi pengembangan media yang memiliki banyak fitur-fitur yang menarik dan mudah digunakan oleh guru. Pengembangan media berbasis Wordwall dapat memudahkan guru dalam mendesain dan merancang materi maupun evaluasi pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di MI DDI Madatte’ Kab. Polewali Mandar diketahui bahwa : 1) Pengetahuan guru terkait media pembelajaran berbasis Wordwall masih minim, 2) Pemanfaatan Wordwall sebagai aplikasi pengembangan media pembelajaran masih kurang. Oleh karena itu dilakukanlah pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Wordwall. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah 1) memberikan pelatihan kepada mitra terkait aplikasi Wordwall. 2) memberikan pelatihan kepada mitra dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Wordwall. Sasaran dalam pengabdian ini adalah guru di MI DDI Madatte’ Kab. Polewali Mandar. Adapun metode yang dilakukan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab dan praktik. Pelatihan berjalan dengan lancar. Setelah pelatihan, 1) Guru mampu menjelaskan pemanfaatan Wordwall dalam pengembangan media. 2) Guru mampu mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Wordwall

Abstract

Strategi pembelajaran merupakan salah satu faktor yang menunjang proses pembelajaran. Penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih mudah memahami materi pembelajaran dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di MI DDI Madatte’ Kab. Polewali Mandar diketahui bahwa : 1) Pengetahuan guru terhadap strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif masih minim. 2) Pengetahuan guru terkait startegi pembelajaran brain writing masih kurang. Untuk itu, diadakanlah pelatihan terkait strategi pembelajaran brain writing. Adapun tujuan pengabdian ini adalah 1) memberikan materi strategi-strategi pembelajaran inovatif, khususnya strategi pembelajaran brain writing 2) memberikan materi langkah-langkah penerapan strategi pembelajaran Brain Writing. Sasaran dalam pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru di MI DDI Madatte’ Kab. Polewali Mandar. Adapun metode yang dilakukan yakni ceramah, tanya jawab dan praktik. Pelatihan berjalan dengan lancar dan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman guru dalam menerapkan strategi pembelajaran. Setelah pelatihan, 1) Guru mampu menjelaskan strategi-strategi pembelajaran terutama strategi pembelajaran pembelajaran brain writing, 2) Guru mampu menerapkan langkah-langkah strategi pembelajaran brain writing.

Abstract

Penurunan kemampuan dasar literasi siswa khususnya berdasarkan hasil PISA 2022 sudah terlihat jelas selama learning loss pada pandemi Covid-19, terutama di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Persoalan pokok ini juga menjadi fondasi dan pilar untuk mewujudkan Profil Pelajar Pancasila melalui Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (IKM). Berdasarkan persoalan pokok, arah kebijakan, kolaborasi masyarakat, dan inisiasi pemerintah setempat dengan sekolah, studi ini mencoba untuk mendiagnosis kemampuan literasi dasar siswa Fase B atas IKM di UPT SDN 228 Pinrang. Untuk memperoleh data yang komensurabel dan reliabel, penelitian ini menerapakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi diagnostik. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan observasi, wawancara, studi dokumen dan dokumentasi. Analisis olahan data penelitian meliputi penyusunan kumpulan, penelaahan kumpulan data melalui pengkodean, penetapan kode-kode gambaran umum data dan pendeskripsian sesuai rumusan masala, perepresentasian temuan data, penginterpretasian hasil refleksi temuan data dengan literatur terkait, dan pemvalidasian keakuratan hasil interpretasi. Adapun hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa penguatan literasi pada IKM sangat dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman Kepala Sekolah dan Guru Kelas III dan IV dalam merancang dan menerapkannya secara utuh dalam proses belajar-mengajar yang juga terkait pada kelengkapan dan kemenarikan buku ajar di dalam kelas dan bacaan umum di perpustakaan. Olehnya itu, kemampuan dasar literasi siswa semakin harus dikembangkan perancangan dan penerapannya secara esensial dan kontekstual sejak dari Sekolah Dasar. Kata kunci: literasi, kurikulum merdeka, kemampuan dasar
