Abstract

Studies on the main problems of Indonesian Education essentially highlight the educator's capability, professionality, and creativity which the fundamental problem lies in the reproduction and recruitment of educators themselves from the start. The problem becomes more complicated due to the acceleration of digital learning-based learning management systems synchronously/asynchronously, particularly in primary education as the foundation. This is also an observation and concept for the Kurikulum Merdeka implementation to overcome the education crisis through Merdeka Belajar policies, especially the Guru-Sekolah Penggerak program, the Merdeka Berbudaya media, the Merdeka Mengajar platform, and the Kampus Mengajar pattern. Such conditions are the focused study to assess opportunities for digital transformation in the teaching and learning process in elementary school and PGSD based on educators' perspectives on the students' characteristics and tendencies. This study uses a diagnostic case study method to examine the results of reports from related research institutions representatively and interpretively using internet searching techniques to be analyzed using critical discourse analysis to maintain the data commensurability. The report from the RISE Program in Indonesia, INOVASI, UNICEF Indonesia, SMERU Research Institute, and APJII then emphasized that strengthening educator competency, deepening curriculum flexibility, developing digital skills of educators and students, as well as improving teaching and learning platforms and school digital connectivity that focuses on an equitable education ecosystem is a challenge to respond the world education transformation. The results conform with OECD and UNESCO recommendations for embodying an equal and prosperous educational future. Hence, the Merdeka Belajar transition in Dikdas must become the basis for joint study to ensure the direction and realm of the Indonesian education transformation.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools should encourage students to explore, investigate and understand their environment, but this is hampered by the lack of media support that facilitates this. Departing from the need for innovation in learning methods in the current digital era. In elementary school, many students experience difficulty in understanding abstract concepts conveyed through conventional learning methods, which are generally textual and static visuals. Traditional approaches are often less attractive to students who have grown up in environments familiar with advanced technology. This research aims to create learning media products for elementary schools using Augmented Reality (AR) to facilitate ideal science learning. This research and development uses the Borg and Gall model. Research participants were fourth grade students in three elementary schools and their teachers. Data collection through observation, interviews and tests. Data was analyzed descriptively to describe quantitative and qualitative data. The research succeeded in developing a learning media product for elementary schools based on Augmented Reality (AR) called Media Karotena. The main results of the research show that the media is included in the appropriate category and is suitable for students and teachers. This development product has implications for the transformation of technology-based science learning. The implications of this research areĀ  The use of AR technology in learning can increase student engagement. By combining interactive visual media, students are more interested and motivated to learn, so that learning becomes more fun and effective.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep matematika yang benar sejak sekolah dasar berperan penting dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir logis dan pemecahan masalah, termasuk dalam aspek numerasi. Namun, Rapor Pendidikan Kota Makassar Tahun 2024 menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan numerasi peserta didik sekolah dasar masih berada pada kategori sedang dan mengalami penurunan dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya, yang mengindikasikan kesulitan dalam menguasai konsep dasar matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas kegiatan refleksi dalam pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika dan keterlibatan peserta didik. Metode penelitian menggunakan Mixed Methods dengan desain Embedded Design, yaitu data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui eksperimen kuasi One-Group Pretest-Posttest, sementara data kualitatif diperoleh melalui observasi keterlibatan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi refleksi dalam pendekatan TaRL secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika, dengan peningkatan rata-rata skor dari 56,2 menjadi 74,8 (p = 0,0001), serta meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik dalam diskusi kelas, kerja kelompok, dan kemandirian dalam menyelesaikan soal. Dengan demikian, penerapan refleksi dalam pembelajaran berbasis TaRL dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika dan keterlibatan peserta didik di sekolah dasar.
