Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media in the form of multimedia geometry flipbook that are suitable for use by elementary school students. This research uses Research and Development Method, with The phases in this research consist of; (1) product analysis, (2) design products, (3) Development, validation and revision. This research used is a mixed approach. The results of the research at the analysis stage, the researcher found problems through a geometry ability test, analyzed the curriculum, and the students needs. The results of the design stage, namely designing the story board, preparing the content/material to be included in each menu, and compiling the learning media assessment instrument. The results of the development stage, namely product manufacture and validation and revision. The results of expert validation by material experts are included in the very worthy criteria (96.95%). The results of the validation by media experts showed very worthy criteria (98.18%). The results of the teacher's response as learning practitioners showed very worthy criteria (89.04%). Based on these results, the multimedia flipbook learning media for elementary school students in the Mattiro Bulu sub-district developed is suitable for learning geometry in elementary schools.

Abstract

Studies on the main problems of Indonesian Education essentially highlight the educator's capability, professionality, and creativity which the fundamental problem lies in the reproduction and recruitment of educators themselves from the start. The problem becomes more complicated due to the acceleration of digital learning-based learning management systems synchronously/asynchronously, particularly in primary education as the foundation. This is also an observation and concept for the Kurikulum Merdeka implementation to overcome the education crisis through Merdeka Belajar policies, especially the Guru-Sekolah Penggerak program, the Merdeka Berbudaya media, the Merdeka Mengajar platform, and the Kampus Mengajar pattern. Such conditions are the focused study to assess opportunities for digital transformation in the teaching and learning process in elementary school and PGSD based on educators' perspectives on the students' characteristics and tendencies. This study uses a diagnostic case study method to examine the results of reports from related research institutions representatively and interpretively using internet searching techniques to be analyzed using critical discourse analysis to maintain the data commensurability. The report from the RISE Program in Indonesia, INOVASI, UNICEF Indonesia, SMERU Research Institute, and APJII then emphasized that strengthening educator competency, deepening curriculum flexibility, developing digital skills of educators and students, as well as improving teaching and learning platforms and school digital connectivity that focuses on an equitable education ecosystem is a challenge to respond the world education transformation. The results conform with OECD and UNESCO recommendations for embodying an equal and prosperous educational future. Hence, the Merdeka Belajar transition in Dikdas must become the basis for joint study to ensure the direction and realm of the Indonesian education transformation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan modul ajar Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) Kurikulum Merdeka yang diterapkan dengan model pembelajaran discovery learning berbasis media pembelajaran IT di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN No.35 Inpres Panggalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari tahapan define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket, dan tes hasil belajar yang melibatkan 14 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam hal hasil belajar, 12 dari 14 siswa berhasil mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) dengan nilai tertinggi 88 dan nilai terendah 55. Hasil distribusi nilai menunjukkan variasi yang signifikan di antara siswa, dengan mayoritas siswa (86%) mencapai atau melebihi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM).Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar P5 berbasis Discovery Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di sekolah dasar. Modul ini juga mendukung pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka dengan pendekatan yang berpusat pada siswa dan pemanfaatan media IT dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pengembangan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam merancang media pembelajaran menuntut adanya model pembelajaran yang inovatif. Salah satu model yang diyakini efektif adalah model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL), yang menempatkan mahasiswa sebagai subjek aktif dalam proses pembelajaran melalui penyelesaian proyek secara mandiri maupun kolaboratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL dalam mata kuliah Media Pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket yang dibagikan kepada 62 mahasiswa peserta perkuliahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan model PjBL sangat positif. Mahasiswa merasa lebih termotivasi, aktif, serta mampu berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam menyelesaikan proyek yang diberikan. Selain itu, mereka juga merasakan peningkatan dalam pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model PjBL efektif dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran berbasis praktik, serta mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam konteks pendidikan dasar. Model ini direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara lebih luas dalam perkuliahan berbasis keterampilan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development process of Diorama as an instructional medium for the topic Knowing the Earth in elementary school, as well as to determine its effectiveness in enhancing the quality of learning. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) employing the 4D model, which consists of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The developed Diorama is a three-dimensional medium that visually and concretely represents the Earth's structure, its layers, and various natural phenomena. The key characteristics of this medium are its attractive visual presentation, ease of understanding, and interactivity, as students can directly observe and manipulate the objects in the Diorama. The media was tested on fifth-grade elementary school students. Based on the questionnaire results, out of 10 indicators measured using a Likert scale, the average percentage of students who responded “Strongly Agree” and “Agree” exceeded 85%, with the average score for each item above 3.3. Most students reported feeling happier, more active, and better able to understand the material when using the Diorama. Thus, the Diorama has been proven effective in improving understanding, interest, motivation, engagement, and in creating a fun and non-monotonous learning atmosphere. This medium is recommended for use in thematic learning that requires concrete visualizations to support student comprehension.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era drives higher education institutions to transform through the utilization of advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deep learning approaches, in order to produce graduates who are both adaptive and globally competitive. This study aims to design and evaluate the effectiveness of an innovative learning model employing AI-based deep learning to enhance the extending knowledge of undergraduate students in the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program at Universitas Sulawesi Barat. The primary focus is to examine how AI integration can strengthen students’ critical analysis, creativity, and digital collaboration skills. A mixed-methods approach with a convergent design was applied, where quantitative data were collected through surveys of more than half of the 2024 cohort (±100 students) and 15 lecturers, while qualitative data were obtained from semi-structured interviews and classroom observations. Survey findings reveal that AI integration in the learning process and the ease of technology access fall into the high category (means of 4.18 and 4.05, respectively), whereas AI support for personalized learning is rated moderate–high (mean 3.92). The implementation of AI significantly improved critical analysis (mean 4.22) and digital collaboration (mean 4.11), although student creativity remained moderate (mean 3.88) due to a tendency to rely on AI systems. Qualitative results corroborate the quantitative data, indicating increased active participation and student confidence, while also highlighting the need for pedagogical strategies to stimulate original ideas. Overall, the study concludes that an innovative learning design grounded in AI-based deep learning effectively broadens extending knowledge and fosters twenty-first-century competencies, offering implications for curriculum development, faculty training, and digital infrastructure. Future research is recommended to integrate project-based or inquiry-driven approaches to further optimize student creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the integration of authentic leadership values into academic supervision practices and how this integration becomes a strategy in realizing a quality school at SDN 50 Cendana, Enrekang Regency. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The results show that the principal has integrated authentic leadership values such as self-awareness, relational transparency, balanced information processing, and an internalized moral perspective in academic supervision practices. The integration of these values has a positive impact on teacher motivation, a conducive work climate, improved learning quality, and the formation of a supportive and reflective school culture. These findings indicate that authentic leadership-based academic supervision can be an effective strategy in improving the quality of education sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a cognitive-science-based instructional strategy through the integration of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning within the framework of digital learning. The research employed an experimental design involving two groups of students—30 in the control group and 30 in the experimental group—supported by qualitative data obtained from teacher and student interviews as well as digital classroom observations. The results indicate a significant improvement in conceptual understanding in the experimental group (mean gain = 14.23) compared to the control group (mean gain = 3.12; p < 0.05), along with an increase in learning motivation (mean gain = 13.12 vs. 3.05; p < 0.05). Qualitative findings reinforce the quantitative results, showing that teachers found it easier to design interactive learning activities, students perceived the learning process as more meaningful and enjoyable, and they were more motivated to engage in discussions and reflective awareness activities. The study concludes that integrating mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning into digital learning is effective in enhancing both cognitive and affective aspects simultaneously and holds strong potential for broader application in developing holistic and humanistic digital pedagogy
