Abstract

This study explores university lecturers’ perceptions of a national professional development program delivered asynchronously via the Moodle platform in Indonesia. While asynchronous learning is increasingly adopted for large-scale training, limited research has examined how lecturers in developing countries perceive its usability, effectiveness, and challenges. Addressing this gap, the study aimed to investigate lecturers’ perceptions and the challenges they encountered during Moodle-based asynchronous training. Using a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, this study involved 511 Indonesian lecturers selected through total population sampling for the quantitative phase and purposive sampling for the qualitative interviews. The questionnaire as the quantitative instrument measured four sub-scales: accessibility, ease of use, effectiveness, and motivational impact of LMS. The questionnaire demonstrated strong reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.877). Descriptive statistical analysis was employed, revealing high mean scores for all aspects (M = 4.65 to 4.85), indicating positive perceptions of the training. The highest agreement was found in the ease of implementing the training via the LMS (M = 4.85, SD = 0.39). Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analysed thematically, highlighting challenges such as unstable internet access, limited device functionality, and unclear material organization. These results suggest that while Moodle is perceived as an effective tool for professional development, structural and technical improvements are needed. The study recommends enhanced technical support, better content structuring, and training orientation to increase engagement and learning outcomes in similar future programs.

Abstract

This research was aimed to analyze student's errors on triangular and quadrilateral material in terms of problem-solving ability. This research was motivated by the low problem-solving ability and errors often made by students during the mathematics learning. The research approach was descriptive-qualitative that was done by analyzing the students' difficulty in solving description problems. The techniques of data collection were observation, learning outcomes tests, and interviews. The data were analyzed qualitatively based on Newman Error Analysis. Based on the results of the research, it was found that students' reading errors were in the high, medium, and low categories. Students' comprehension errors were in the medium and low categories, students' transformation errors were in the high, medium, and low categories, students' process skills errors were in the high, low, and medium categories and students writing errors (encoding error) were in the high, medium, and low categories.

Abstract

alah satu faktor afektif yang turut menentukan keberhasilan peserta didik dalam belajar adalah minat terhadap pembelajaran. Penelitian ini untuk menilai kualitas instrumet minat belajar melalui pendekatan model rasch. Instrument dalam penelitian ini berupa angket non tes skala minat belajar sejumlah 20 butir item yang telah di uji coba pada 146 peserta didik jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan bantuan program model rasch dengan software Winsteps versi 3.73. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa instrument memenuhi kriteria unidimensionalitas dengan nilai raw variance explained sebesar 44%, serta memiliki tingkat kesesuaian butir yang baik berdasarkan nilai infit dan outfit MNSQ namun terdapat beberapa nomor yang tidak valid yaitu P8, P12, dan P15. Sebaran tingkat kesulitan item berada dalam rentang logit yang proporsional, rating scale menunjukkan bahwa kategori respon berfungsi dengan baik. Variabel peta memperlihatkan keseimbangan antara kemampuan responden dan tingkat kesulitan item. Analisis DIF menunjukkan beberapa item memiliki potensi bias terhadap gender, namun tidak signifikan. Penelitian ini penting untuk mengembangkan dan menganalisis instrumen minat belajar dengan pendekatan model rasch, yang mampu memberikan gambaran validitas, reliabilitas, serta mendeteksi bias item secara lebih objektif

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitan ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan numerasi dan minat belajar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal untuk mengukur kemampuan numerasi dan penalaran matematis, serta angket sebagai instrumen non-tes untuk menilai minat belajar, seluruh instrumen telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 180 peserta didik kelas X di salah satu SMA Negeri di Jakarta. Analisis regresi berganda sebagai pisau analisis data dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS 26.2. Temuan hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) kemampuan penalaran matematis secara parsial dipengaruhi masing-masing oleh kemampuan numerasi dan minat belajar; (2) kemampuan penalaran matematis secara simultan dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan numerasi dan minat belajar.

Abstract

Indonesia has high cultural diversity, but this diversity often becomes a challenge in communication between individuals from different cultural backgrounds. Based on these problems, this study aims to analyze and improve students' diversity motivation by implementing the Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) as part of universities' Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) policy. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were 103 PMM student participants from various universities in Indonesia. Data were collected through a questionnaire with an assessment scale to measure students' level of diversity motivation. The results of the data analysis showed that the PMM program succeeded in creating a significant cross-cultural learning experience, marked by an average questionnaire score of 95%. This program encourages students to respect cultural differences, strengthen a sense of unity, and foster an inclusive attitude. The conclusion of this study shows that the Independent Student Exchange Program effectively increases diversity motivation among students. The implications of this study underline the importance of integrating diversity values ​​in the independent curriculum to form adaptive and tolerant student characters in facing the challenges of the era of globalization and the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence used Problem Based Learning model assisted by Question Card toward students mathematic critical thinking skill in junior high school. This research was quantitative by using Quasi Experimental with the nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The technique was purposive sampling method. The instrument of this method was six items, then validity test, reliability test, level of difficulty, and discrimination power. Normality and homogeneity test were used as requirement test and got the data was normal distribution and the two-group homogenous. The hypothesis test used t-test got the result 2,970 made Ho rejected with 5% significance level with effect size was 0,656 or 66% that moderate classified. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is an influence of problem-based learning model assisted by question card toward mathematic critical thinking skill with moderate criteria.

Abstract

The government's new policy of changing the National Examination (UN) to the National Assessment (AN), requires all students in Indonesia to have competence, one of which is numeracy literacy. In describing this numeracy literacy ability, it can be viewed from all aspects, one of which is: Adversity Quotient (AQ). This study aims to describe the differences in the numeracy abilities of junior high school students in terms of the Adversity Quotient between male and female students. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, with a research subject of 6 eighth-grade students of one of the State Junior High Schools in Depok. The instruments used were test and non-test instruments, namely written tests, questionnaires, and interviews. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research findings indicate that both male and female climber students demonstrate high numeracy literacy skills by fulfilling all the indicators. Camper students, show moderate numeracy literacy skills, with males fulfilling two indicators and females fulfilling one indicator. As for quitter students, they exhibit low numeracy literacy skills as they do not fulfill any of the indicators. The difference between men and women of each type is only in the completion steps and explaining the reasons for each answer they choose.

Abstract

The phenomenon of students experiencing stress in learning mathematics is commonplace in this era of globalization. It is not uncommon for students to feel afraid when facing material or assignments presented by teachers at school. Therefore, this research aims to identify stress-coping strategies used by high school students in dealing with mathematics learning based on gender. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods. Data was obtained through a questionnaire containing 46 statement items, then distributed via Google Forms and statement sheets to students. The research respondents consisted of 89 students from tenth graders in one of the high schools in Tambun Selatan, Bekasi, West Java. Data analysis was carried out using the stress-coping percentage method. The research results show that both male and female students tend to use emotion-centered coping strategies, with a percentage of male respondents was 57% and female respondents had a percentage of 79%. Also, the coping strategy section that focuses on emotions tends more towards the sub-indicator of accepting responsibility with a percentage of 76% for male students and 78% for female students. It can be said that there is no difference between male and female students in solving a problem.
