Abstract

Astronomy is counted as a natural science that always gets the most attention of humans all the time. Lately, in Indonesia began to appear astronomical observatories that examine various things. The Falak Observatory of the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra (OIF UMSU) is one that has played an important role in the development of astronomy in Indonesia, especially in North Sumatra. In this observatory there are classical and modern astronomical tools. Among the role and contribution of this observatory is to provide information for students about the phenomenon and importance of astronomy, then training for students, astronomy studies, and others. The existence of this observatory is basically an appreciation of science and technology that are part of civilization.

Abstract

This scientific research articles have resulted in some findings. (1) The purpose of education is the ultimate goal and purpose while, students were 33 companions of Ahl al-Shuffah, educators are the Prophet Muhammad, his other self and parents, contents or educational material (human and religious, religion, beliefs, worship, morality, the Shari'ah, Qur'an, Sunnah and Ijtihad), education methods (advice, motivation, punishment, exemplary, discussion, persuasion, court, blessing, memorize, mulazamah, game), media teaching (animals, environment, body, visual, audio, column), the time and space that is anywhere and at any time of life can be implemented in education, evaluation and approval of the technical performance capabilities like Abdullah bin Mas'ud when commanded to read Al-Qur'an in front of the Prophet Muhammad. And the appointment of 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, and Salim, the slave of Abu Hudhayfah and Ubay ibn Ka'b and Mu'adh bin Jabal as referred readings al-Qur'an, (2) the eight elements of education that is objective, learners, educators , contents, methods, teaching media, space and time, and showed a close relevance to the development of education today, education in general and education in particular with the Islamic style.

Abstract

Purpose — This study aims to determine the work productivity of employees, which includes work attitudes, skill levels, education, and leadership style, both partially and simultaneously influencing employees' work productivity.Method — This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The population comprised 34 respondents from the Medang Deras District office, with a saturated sample.Result — Based on the study's results, it was concluded that work attitude, skill level, and employee education had a partially positive effect on employee productivity, while leadership style had a partial negative effect on productivity. Additionally, the study found that work attitude, skill level, education, and leadership style had a positive simultaneous effect on work productivity.Contribution — The academic contribution of this research lies in its innovative approach by introducing additional variables and combining various disciplines such as Management, Psychology, and Education to explore the interplay between work attitude, leadership style, skill levels, and education, ultimately shedding light on their collective impact on employee productivity.

Abstract

Every person has unique financial habits shaped by internal and external causes. A perso’'s financial behaviour depends on their financial expertise. This study examines how financial education and attitudes towards money affect the financial decisions of productive Generation Y residents in Medan City. The lifestyle intermediate function in this link is also investigated in this research.Quantitative research approaches, such as surveys, are used in this study. Data processing was done using clever PLS software on 96 individuals. Data analysis methods including path analysis, PLS, and mediation effect analysis are popular.The research shows that financial knowledge strongly impacts lifestyle choices. Financial behaviour is heavily influenced by personal finance views. One's lifestyle is shaped by their financial views. Additionally, lifestyle might affect financial behaviour. This study also analyses how financial literacy and personal financial views affect financial behaviour and management, with lifestyle as a mediating component.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine and analyze the Effect of Financial Literacy and Financial Technology on Public Financial Inclusion (Case Study on Teenagers in Tebing Tinggi City, North Sumatra). This research method uses a quantitative approach and uses associative research with questionnaire data collection techniques. The population in this study amounted to 27,837 people in Tebing Tinggi city teenagers and this study used incidental sampling technique, taking a sample of 100 respondents. The data analysis technique in this study used the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, research hypothesis testing (t test and F test), and the coefficient of determination. Based on the results of this study, financial literacy has a significant influence on community financial inclusion in Tebing Tinggi city adolescents, financial technology has a significant influence on community financial inclusion in Tebing Tinggi city adolescents, financial literacy and financial technology affect community financial inclusion in Tebing Tinggi city adolescents.Key Words : Financial Literacy, Financial Technology, Financial InclusionJEL Classification:B26, C58, E26

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of love of money, peer groups, and financial literacy on the personal financial management of students enrolled in the Management Study Program at Muhammadiyah University, North Sumatra. This study employed survey research methods to collect data. Participants are chosen based on specific demographic criteria. This study employs a quantitative and correlational methodology, with data being gathered via questionnaires. The Slovin algorithm was utilized to select a sample from the class of 2018 at Stambuk University, consisting of 84 students who are currently enrolled in the Management Study Program within the Faculty of Economics and Business at Muhammadiyah University in North Sumatra. This research utilizes various statistical tests, including the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, t test, F test, and coefficient of determination. The data was analyzed using SPSS 25. This study demonstrates that individuals who possess a strong desire for wealth experience positive outcomes in terms of their personal financial management. This study examines the impact of peer groups on individuals’ financial management practices. A significant and meaningful correlation was discovered. The findings indicate a significant and positive correlation between the variables.

Abstract

Purpose  – study aims to examine the effect of value and remuneration on organizational commitment through the work motivation of civil servant lecturers in private universities in Medan City.Methods –  This research uses an associative quantitative approach. The research population consists of all civil servant lecturers of private universities in Medan City. The sample used in SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) research is a minimum of 180 samples. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and interviews. SEM PLS was used to analyze the data.Finding –  The results showed that individual values and remuneration affect organizational commitment (p 0.05), and then work motivation also affects organizational commitment (p 0.05). Furthermore, personal values and remuneration influence organizational commitment through lecturers' work motivation in private universities in Medan (p 0.05).Originality/Novelty – This study examines individual values and remuneration more comprehensively as predictors of lecturers' organizational commitment and then explicitly explores the importance of work motivation as a mediator in the relationship between personal values, remuneration, and organizational commitment.Implications – This study has shown that work motivation mediates the influence of individual values and remuneration on organizational commitment. Recommendations for further research include analyzing or using work motivation variables as independent variables, not mediating variables. The results of this study can be used as a guide for strategic decision-making in higher education institutions and the development of theoretical studies in the field of organizational management.
