Abstract

تعتبر الحضارة الإسلامية العديد من العلوم الطبيعة منها العلوم الفلكية التي تدرس الأجرام السماوية.¬ إن مكانة علم¬ الفلك في العصور¬ الوسطى تتجه في الأساس إلى خدمة العبادة في الإسلام، لاسيما الصلاة والصوم. فمن أجل ذلك نشأ العديد من الفلكيين المسلمين بحثوا في هذا المجال واعترفوا بالموقت. شغل معظم الفلكيّين في هذا العصر، خاصة العصر المملوكي، وظيفة موقّت وهو فلكي محترف ملحق بأحد المساجد بالأجرة من السلطان، وكان مهمته تحديد أوقات الصلاة والصوم. ففي العصور الوسطى يعترف هذا الشغل بمؤسسة الموقت، وهي المجتمع تدرس الأجرام السماوية لخدمة العبادة.

Abstract

Astronomy is counted as a natural science that always gets the most attention of humans all the time. Lately, in Indonesia began to appear astronomical observatories that examine various things. The Falak Observatory of the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra (OIF UMSU) is one that has played an important role in the development of astronomy in Indonesia, especially in North Sumatra. In this observatory there are classical and modern astronomical tools. Among the role and contribution of this observatory is to provide information for students about the phenomenon and importance of astronomy, then training for students, astronomy studies, and others. The existence of this observatory is basically an appreciation of science and technology that are part of civilization.

Abstract

Rubu? Al-Mujayyab adalah instrumen astronomi klasik berbentuk seperempat lingkaran dengan desain yang sederhana. Alat ini berfungsi secara spesifik sebagai penentu ketinggian dan pengukur waktu. Dalam artikel ini, dideskripsikan pemanfaatan alat klasik tersebut dalam membantu siswa dalam memahami hubungan antara ilmu yang dipelajarinya dengan alam sekitar. Secara khusus, ia diformat untuk membantu siswa mempelajari, memahami dan meningkatkan hasil pembejaran matematika di sekolah, yang secara khusus dipergunakan pada materi Trigonometri dan Kesebangunan. Dengannya, diharapkan muncul peningkatan kemampuan matematika khususnya pada pokok bahasan kesebangunan pada pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

The Bright stars that were seen by the eyes are the received quantity of the energy flux sent from the celestial body. The energy flux is inversely proportional to the distant quadrant which means that the light of the stars that are visible to our eyes cannot be compared to the actual brightness or even weaker than the others and the visible star lights the apparent magnitude. The purpose of this study is to measure the apparent magnitude of Mars. This research methodology is quantitative, by taking number of images/videos of Mars and then the data is processed by using IRIS software. The results of the analysis is using IRIS software that shows the value of the apparent magnitude of Mars on August 1st, 2018 is (-1.56 ± 0.33) and October 2nd 2018 is (-1.84 ± 0.08). This was taken by selecting the best image result in clear night sky.

Abstract

: Artikel ini membahas tentang satu instrumen astronomi modifikasi modern bernama Mizwala Qibla Finder hasil kreasi Hendro Setyanto. Alat ini sangat cocok dan akurat di gunakan di era modern karena akurasinya yang sangat tinngi. Alat ini juga direkomendasikan untuk digunakan karena fungsi dan urgensinya yang sangat penting yaitu menentukan arah kiblat. Seperti diketahui, menghadap kiblat adalah suatu keharusan (syarat) untuk sahnya shalat. Sedangkan dalam praktiknya ada banyak cara dan instrument yang dapat digunakan dalam menentukan arah kiblat, salah satunya adalah Mizwala Qibla Finder. Dalam praktiknya, pemanfaatan Mizwala Qibla Finder dalam penentuan arah kiblat memiliki akurasi yang cukup tinggi sehingga direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam menentukan dan mengakurasikan arah kiblat kapan saja dan dimana saja. Kata Kunci: Mizwala Qibla Finder, arah kiblat, fikih.

Abstract

Measuring the brightness of the night sky and determining the start of Fajr prayer times can be done using SQM. Observations were made at OIF UMSU with coordinates 3o 34' 55.06" N and 98o 43' 17.09" E. The sky brightness was measured using three SQMs mounted facing the zenith, eastern horizon, and western horizon. The night sky brightness values for SQM directed to the zenith, eastern horizon, and western horizon are 18.23 mpsas, 15.82 mpsas, and 15.47 mpsas. The beginning of fajr prayer time produced by SQM is after the beginning of fajr prayer time obtained using the Accurate Times concerning the Sun's altitude 18o below the horizon. The difference obtained by SQM directed to the zenith, eastern horizon, and western horizon is 29.5 minutes, 36.7 minutes, and 39.5 minutes. In other words, the beginning of Fajr prayer time used in Indonesia is earlier than it should be.

Abstract

Astronomy is special scientific discipline in Islam as it relates to daily Muslim worship practices. In the Mamalik era (1250-1517), especially in Cairo and Damascus regions, Islamic astronomy has developed significantly as can be seen in the new discoveries of astronomical instruments. However, Islamic astronomy in the era of Mamalik conceals a very large amount of scientific knowledge that needs further discussion. As mentioned by King, there were a dozen of Islamic schbolars in astronomy whose treatises and ideas are unrevealed. Therefore contemporary astronomical studies run in higher educational institutions, should also seriously be focused on examining classical knowledge in astronomy. This article discusses the history and develop- ment of Islamic astronomy in the era of Mamalik and their contribution to the body of scientific knowledge in as- tronomy in that period

Abstract

يعتبر علم الفلك من العلوم الطبيعة التي حظيت باهتمام كبير من الإنسان عبر الزمن . ومن ذلك البحث هو في مسألة رؤية الأهلة التي اختلفت العلماء حولها حتى الآن . فابن المجدي في كتابه "غنية الفهيم والطريق إلى حل التقويم" قد حل هذا الإشكال من منظور الفلك والرياضيات . يقول ابن المجدي إن الهلال إذا لم يكن قريبًا من حدود الرُّؤْيَة والامْتِنَاع، والاعتماد أنْ تنظرَ إلى مقوّمي النَّيْرَيْن نصف نهار التاسع والعشرين من الرُّؤْيَة وبُهْتَيْهما وساعات نصف النهار بعد أنْ تزيدَ عليها ثلثي ساعة، ثم استخرج البعد لتلك الساعات من جداول أبهات الشمس». فهو يذكر هنا طريقة المأخذ إذا لم يكن الهلال قريبا من حدود الرؤية والامتناع. والكتاب مطابق لأسلوب عصره ولمعاييْر العلم السائدة آنذاك.
