Abstract

Tomoe Valve Batam is a Manufacturing of Butterfly Valve, Accuator and Accessories. manufacture. PT. Tomoe Valve Batam has difficulty in fulfilling order orders because the Main Steam product setting process is too long so the production capacity is low, so it is necessary to design a Jig in the Main Steam product setting process in order to eliminate the processing time setting. This research was conducted at the production division using the Quality Function Deployment analysis method. The stages in this study use Voice of Costumer which is useful to find out the company's interests, product attributes and technical responses in order to eliminate the long set up time so that production capacity is reached. After that stage is completed, an analysis is conducted using the QFD method. Identify the quality deployment function (QFD) as one of the tools that can be used to identify customer needs and link the needs to product design. PT. Tomoe Valve Batam was success to cut off settiing time with QFD method to increasing production output.

Abstract

PT. Sarang Laksana Mandiri is a manufacturing company in the manufacture of readymix concrete located in Kabil Raya - Punggur - Batam, which has the brand name Batam Concrete, PT Sarang Laksana Mandiri received complaints from consumers on PT Sarang Laksana Mandiri's k-300 products, consumer complaints that PT Sarang Laksana Mandiri's k-300 concrete product is not included in the concrete compressive strength quality criteria so that when tested, the k-300 product does not reach 100% K 300 concrete, while the k-300 Concrete criterion is concrete that can withstand a weight of 300 kg / Cm2 after the concrete is dry and is one month or 28 days old. This study aims to determine the K-300 concrete design that is Indonesian Standard, conduct experiments to make samples of K-300 products according to Indonesian Standards, determine the decision of K-300 products from Civil Engineering experts and concrete experience experts with AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method and methods SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) with the criteria of dry concrete length, concrete compressive strength, concrete slump and material cost, aims to choose the best concrete modeling modeling. the two methods used show the same results in choosing the best kimson design in each criteria, the Kimson AHP Method is globally superior to all criteria with an average value of 0.40, Herry Huang the second priority has a value of 0.32, the third priority Dwi has a value of 0.15, then Eman has a value of 0.13 and the Keputusa SAW method shows Kimson superior to the alternative A value globally from all criteria with an average value of 0.74, then Herry Huang the second priority value of B has a value of 0.71, the third priority value of C Dwi has a value of 0.68, then Eman value D has a value of 0.58.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Persediaan bahan baku pada perusahaan/industri sangat penting, sehingga harus dikendalikan. Kekurangan persediaan bahan baku dapat berakibat terhentinya proses produksi bahkan permintaan customer tidak dapat terpenuhi. Setiap perusahaan manufaktur harus dapat mengambil keputusan dalam pembelian bahan baku secara tepat dan efisien agar persediaan bahan baku untuk produksi terpenuhi, sehingga proses produksi dapat berjalan lancar dan dana yang di tanam dalam persediaan bahan baku tidak berlebihan PT OSI electronics mengalami permasahan dalam jumlah stock barang. Antara sistem perusahaan dengan jumlah aktual barang di gudang penyimpan material tidak sesuai. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk Mengetahui jumlah pemesanan yang optimum persediaan dan jumlah pemesanan kembali bahan baku material IC SPLCF-119-0258-01. metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah EOQ, Safety stock, dan re-order point. data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah historis pembelian dan kebutuhan material IC SPLCF-119-0258-01dari Januari 2019 sampai Desember 2019. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah material IC SPLCF-119-0258-01 berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) yaitu sebanyak 273 pcs sebanyak 34 kali selama setahun, dan jumlah safety stock atau persediaan pengaman yang dibutuhkan oleh perusahaan yaitu 311 pcs pada tahun 2020.

Abstract

To get high quality product can be influenced by the process flow and the layout of the production process facilities because planning and factory layout arrangements are the basis of the industrial world. Many problems that occur are caused by bad layout, such as loss of material handling costs and production processing time. It happens at PT XYZ where the work station layout has not taken into account the degree of closeness of the product process flow which has an impact on cost material handling to be large so it is necessary to redesign a new layout to rearrange the flow of material traffic according to product flow. To improve the layout of the work station in this research using the From to Chart method, the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) which is applied with the Blocplan algorithm. The results showed that the best layout is the initial layout at this time material handling distance is 257,040 meters per year. In the new layout design, there is a total moment of 158,628 meters per year, so that the reduction in material handling mileage is 98.4128 meters per year or equal to 38,28% more effectively

Abstract

ABSTRACT In the are of globalization, which requires workers to achive the productivity previously determined by the company. So that the company gets the trust of consumers. In the production process, productivity holds the three pillars that support the success of productivity,quantity (quantity), safety (safety), quality (quality). When productivity is achieved, workers often experience complaint due to uncomfortable working methods and their work is also done repaetly or repeattively. Repetitive work can cause muculuSceletas disorders, namely the occurrence of injuries to the muscles,nerves,tendons, and bones. Complaints of musculusceletal disoerders can be cause by several factors, namely the wrong way of working, work tools, that are not suitable for their use, work stations that are not suitable for their workers. The research of objective of the problem formulation is to find out how the form of packaging for furniture workers at PT. Royce Enterprise Co. Approach to the antropometric method is a field that supports ergonomics, especially in the design of equipment that has ergonomic principles. The term antropometry begins with two syllable, namely “antro” which means human, while “metri” which mean measure. So that the definition of antropometry is a field that explores the measurement of the dimensions of the human body.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the discovery of various defects in the production process so that companies need to take quality control measures to maintain the quality of their products, so that their products can be accepted by consumers. PT Amtek Engineering Batam is a manufacturing company that produces stators. The purpose of this study was to analyze quality control, types of defects and the factors causing stator defects. The data collection technique is done by interview, observation, product defect data, and stator total production data. The data is processed using the sqc method, namely check sheets, Pareto diagrams, P control charts, and fishbone diagrams. The results of data analysis using the P map, Over lapping defects and Gap defects are outside the upper control limits. Based on the Pareto diagram it can be concluded that the type of Over lapping defect is the highest with the number of 4,242 pcs or 48.2%, the type of Gap defect is 3,306 pcs or 37.6% and Scratched defect is 1,256 pcs or 14, 2%. Based on the fishbone diagram, it is found that machine factors are the main cause of product defects.

Abstract

This journal discusses the analysis of bottle cap raw material inventory at PT. Polytech Jaya Industri. Lack of raw material inventory makes production operations in a company unable to run effectively. The problem occurs stems from the need for bottle cap raw materials, the company orders bottle cap raw materials regularly for 4,000 dozen per month. However, the total quantity of 4,000 dozen is not sufficient for production need so the company experiences delay in carrying out the production process because they have to wait for the ordered goods to arrive. This research was conducted to determine the optimal number of bottle cap raw material orders, determine safety stock and time to reorder point. Research in this journal is using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. With the EOQ method from the analysis results, the number of orders for bottle cap raw materials is 15,367 dozen with a purchase frequency of 3 times per year. The safety stock value is 366 dozen and the ROP is carried out when the raw material inventory in the warehouse is 1,46 dozen. The remaining company costs are Rp. 40,607,218/year.

Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are currently developing the most are food, beverage, and furniture SMEs. One of these SMEs is the Tiga Serangkai UKM which is engaged in the production of cassava-based crispy snacks located in the city of Batam and started operating in 2005. Unfortunately, from several outlets owned by SME Tiga Serangkai, the outlets in the Mall and Port experienced a decline. which is quite significant. Tiga Serangkai SMEs have not yet found the right method or way to estimate the number of consumer needs in the future. Seeing the problems faced by SME Tiga Serangkai related to sales forecasting, researchers are interested in further researching related to forecasting sales of cassava chips using Exponential smoothing and Moving Average methods. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach through literature study. The sample was selected by purposive sampling method. The sample selected is sales data at SME Tiga Serangkai Outlet Mall and Port from June 2020 to May 2021. The data obtained is then analyzed using the Moving Average and Exponential Smoothing methods. As a result, the correct sales forecast for the next 6 months for both outlets is the exponential smoothing method with = 0.9.

Abstract

PT ABC is an industrial company that produces precision plastics such as tools, medical devices, and workshop tools. This company works on products, especially product design, injection molding, printing, and assembly. The current state of the layout production process at PT ABC is still not well structured because not taken into account the degree of closeness between work departments. This can lead to wastage of material handling costs due to long distances and alternating flows, so it is necessary to redesign the layout of the new facility in order to rearrange the material flow path to suit the product flow. To improve the layout of the production process facilities, this research uses the From to Chart, Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Craft (Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Techniques) algorithms which can produce a production facility layout design and minimize the total cost of material handling and manage traffic. design cross-production materials to run smoothly. The results of the initial layout research cost Rp. 10,520,856 per month while the new layout costs Rp. 7,858,312 per month. From these results, it was found a reduction in material handling costs of 2,662,544/month or more effectively around 25.32% from the initial facility layout.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company that provides Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) which focuses on design, engineering, and manufacturing services for automotive, industrial and computer. In the facility maintenance department, there is a work accident problem with data on the number of work accidents for the last one year period as many as 24 cases. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that cause accidents in the workplace, determine the level of knowledge of employees regarding discipline regarding the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and determine the level of knowledge of employees regarding the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Finding a solution to improve your knowledge. The method used in this study is the Hazard and Operate Study (HAZOP) method. The number of samples surveyed this time was 30. Data collection consisted of questionnaires on each object to determine the characteristics of respondents, measurement of employees' level of knowledge in the area of ​​using personal protective equipment (PPE), and analysis of data on the Guttman scale. done by The results of this study show that there are still many undisciplined employees who do not know how to use personal protective equipment (PPE), which translates into an average employee knowledge level of 33%. concluded from the results. There is still an important relationship between employee knowledge and discipline when using PPE. Additional occupational health and safety training is recommended for each employee to increase employee knowledge and awareness of the importance of proper and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the workplace.
