Abstract

PT Amber Karya is a manufacturing that produces cable as sembly wire harness for industry and households. Types of cable wire harness that are produced such as High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cables, Universal Serial Bus (USB) and Local Area Network (LAN) cables. Based on the data obtained, production using the LAN cable type Extrusion machine has a defect rate exceeding the tolerance limit reaching 6,169 or 8.23%. The purpose of this to calculate the most defects and the factors that cause defects to appear and provide the best proposal to reduce defects so as to improve the quality of the cable. The sigma method is the approach that is employed with five stages, namely the DMAIC phase, Define, measure, Analyse, Improve, and Control. The results showed that after implementing improvements the defect rate became 2,107 or 2.8%. The sigma level improved from 2.9 (82,253) to 3.4 (28,092). So That, the quality of cable can be improved.

Abstract

PT. XYZ.

Abstract

Developing all aspects of intelligence in early childhood can be achieved in various ways, one of which is through the use of educational teaching aids (ETA). These teaching aids aim to develop different aspects of a child’s development, such as physical-motor skills, cognitive abilities, language, social-emotional skills, art, and moral values. The creation of educational teaching aids can be done conceptually without requiring high costs. They can be made by utilizing recycled or used materials available around the learning environment. Teaching aids created by tutors themselves can be used effectively and efficiently. The use of educational teaching aids can be integrated with appropriate learning methods or models so that all aspects of children’s intelligence can develop optimally. The teaching aids produced include stacking blocks, replicas of letters and numbers, and coding books for matching pictures. Toddlers are able to play and learn well, and the creativity of early childhood learners in the Green View housing complex has increased. This is evidenced by the improvement in early childhood learners’ ability to recognize letters and numbers

Abstract

Tahu Wijaya, a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME), relies on soybean grinding machines as the main equipment in its production process. However, the high frequency of machine failures results in recurring downtime, thereby disrupting production continuity. This study aims to determine an optimal maintenance schedule for the soybean grinding machines to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency. The method used in this study is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), beginning with the collection of primary data through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, along with secondary data from machine downtime records. Risk analysis of machine failures was conducted using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to obtain the Risk Priority Number (RPN) for each machine component. The results showed that the grinding stone was the component with the highest RPN of 256, followed by the motor with 168 and the adjustment bolt with 150. Additionally, the calculations of Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) yielded values of 22.55 hours and 1.5 hours, respectively. Based on these analyses, the ideal preventive maintenance interval was established before the machine reached 244 operating hours. This study concludes that the application of the RCM method is effective in producing a data-driven machine maintenance schedule that reduces potential downtime, thereby supporting smooth and continuous production at Tahu Wijaya MSME
