Abstract

In general, all human activities are divided into two groups, namely work groups that use mental (brain), and physical (muscle) where both groups really need the work to be done. PT ABC. The First Heritage Dock is a branch of ABC where a company engaged in shipyard. In the department's warehouse there are 3 types of foklift used, namely forklifts with a capacity of 5 tons, 10 tons and 15 tons. Many jobs are given to employees who take mental and physical burdens presented by employees who have work stress. In carrying out the process of analyzing mental burdens for each employee, which is often used in conducting useful research using the NASA-TLX method (Expense Index Duties of National Aeronautics and Space Administration). This method is related to the emergence of the need for subjective reviews consisting of 6 main factors, In carrying out the process of physical work analysis on employees who are often used by research that uses the Cardiovascular Load method while the Cardiovascular Load itself is used to measure heart rate and pulse before doing work and after doing the work thus determines the level felt by an employee. In this study, researchers wanted to calculate the large level of mental work and physical forklift operators. The results of the calculation of mental workload and physical operator of the 5 Ton forklift are 70.38 and 36.36, for 10 Ton are 84.23 and 39.19, and for 15 Ton is 89.17 dam 44.18. It can be concluded that the mental workload of forklifts is very high.

Abstract

Production machinery and equipment are important elements in supporting the production sustainability of a manufacturing company. The machine becomes the main demand to continue to maintain and even improve the machine to remain optimal in producing goods and able to meet consumer demand. PT Cicor Panatec Batam is a company in Batam that manufactures beauty tools. some of the machines used, the Engel 200T, are injection molding machines, losses resulting from the production process caused by downtime that occur every day. The purpose of this study is to determine engine efficiency, six big losses which has the largest percentage of causes of engine performance decline, determine the low value of engine effectiveness from the factors and root causes of the problem, and make suggestions for improvement. In this study the determination of the value of the effectiveness of the machine using the OEE method and steps to correct the problem using FMEA. Obtained the OEE value calculation is 48.85%. In the Pareto diagram, the low value of the engine effectiveness is the breakdown losses with a value of 42.50%. Conduct identification using Ishikawa diagram to identify the cause of breakdown losses. The dominant problem causing failure is unstable heater heating with an RPN value of 140, and the smallest potential is damage to the mold RPN value of 90, proposed improvements to make SOPs, conduct periodic training, provide spare parts, and need to increase responsibility and care for care machine

Abstract

ABSTRACT Work fatigue is a problem that often occur at work area, this problem often ignored for continuity production of company. Uncontrolled work fatigue can caused a negative effect both physic and psychology for employee. In this study, the employee got workload about 35 kg/hour and overtime until 12 hour/day that caused the work fatigue. The aims of study to know a level category of work fatigue and factor of work fatigue what had the employee especially on warehouse of PT Indomarco Prismatama Batam. The method of the study used subjective self rating test that measure the level of subjective work fatigue toward the employee. The result of the study showed that the category of fatigue toward the employee of warehouse have a high level which is followed by a middle level. The result of Correlation Spearman test shows that working day (sig = 0,00), workload (sig = 0,00), the effect of work fatigue. The suggestion toward employee of warehouse conveys to do a job or workload based on physical ability and working capacity to take a short break. The leader of PT Indomarco Prismatama expects to increase mechanical equipment in loading and moving material activity even shifting working day correctly.

Abstract

Seiketsu and Shitsuke which in Indonesian is concise, neat, clean, care and diligent. PT Dynacast Indonesia's Final Sorting After Plating Department, which consists of 3 production lines. There are still many items or materials that are placed not in accordance with the place, wrong label of the trash. In addition, many tools or materials which are not really needed but are put or placed in them such as trolleys, used cardboard and laying cleaning tools very close to the production table which according to the researchers are things that can be disrupt the production process. The results of the study using the Audit Checklist method found that the level of application. The results of the discussion show that the level for line S1 is categorized as sufficient (53.95%), line S2 is categorized as sufficient (47.81%) and line S3 is categorized sufficiently (42.98%). The proposed improvements obtained are elimination procedures, tagging of goods, location for items in all work areas, storage area labels, location of goods in an easily accessible location, cleaning checklist, picket schedule, socialization of 5S application to employees, work instructions (5S standard poster), visual boards and rewards.

Abstract

PT Batam Bersatu Apparel is a one company engaged in garment process and based in Batam city, where is production process are supervised by the leader of sewing line. The sewing process is a second process after the cutting process, in this process cut pieces from cutting department to processing become a clothes after sewing process, the one of problem is extremly happen in the sewing line is a idle time problem in the production process and the effect from this problem is un efficient that line production. The purpose of the research is calculate the line efficiency and also calculate the balance delay in line production with calculate the standard time for the first. And result from this research get for all process which is obras process is 2,11 second jarum satu process 15,22 second and jarum dua process is 12,13 second and standard time in sewing line as big as 40,5925 second and also increase line efficiency from 12,92 go up 19,89 and also get balance delay as big as 7,18 second Keyword: Garment; Line efficiency; Balance delay;Standard time; Cycle time

Abstract

Work fatigue is one of the problems in the field of occupational health and safety that can be a factor in workplace accidents. Lecturing activities, weakening motivation and physical weakness are the effects of fatigue. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with work fatigue in online motorcycle taxis in Batam. Job fatigue data collection techniques with the IFRC Industrial Fatique Rating Committee questionnaire. In the results of the research questionnaire it was found that the most fatigue felt by online motorcycle taxi workers in Batam was 53 (76%) while those without 17 (24%), the average points on the weakening motivation questionnaire were 27 points, on average the weakening activity was 17 points while the average physical decline was 21 points. In this study there is a significant relationship between sex and length of work per day (hours) with work fatigue. While there is no significant relationship is age and length of work (years) with work fatigue. To reduce work fatigue on online motorcycle taxis in Batam, it is recommended to take a break together when the order is quiet, in addition to online motorcycle taxi breaks can be shared with other online motorcycle taxiworkers.

Abstract

Humans are an important role for the development of industrial companies so companies must pay attention to the working conditions of their workers. Working conditions that require workers to stand continuously result in non-ergonomic work postures. In the work process of manual soldering activities at PT. XY is still done manually by standing for too long, this can lead to MSDs (musculoskeletal disorders) among workers. MSDs complaints can be reduced in various ways, one of which is by designing work facilities. Before designing work facilities, it is necessary to measure the complaints felt by manual soldering workers. Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) is a process that develops the ergonomics section and is obtained quickly for measuring worker posture. From the results of the study by distributing the NBM questionnaire, it was found that complaints on the neck, back, shoulders, waist, thighs, knees, calves, ankles and feet. The results of the REBA score on the work posture of manual soldering activities are 4 and 5 in the medium category and need corrective action. The solution to reduce this risk requires work facilities, namely by designing work facilities, namely work chairs. The design of this work chair is adjusted to the anthropometry of the workers. Anthropometric data used are Hip Width (LP) which is taken for the width of the seat base, Sitting Elbow Height (TSD) which is taken for the height of the seat, Back Height (TP) is taken for the height of the seat back and Popliteal Butt Length (PPP). taken for the length of the chair.

Abstract

Ergonomics is a systematic branch of science to utilize information about human nature, human capabilities and limitations to design effective, safe and comfortable work systems. Ergonomics includes many things related to employee work, one of which is office ergonomics which includes the entire work environment and work tools related to computers, chairs and others. High demands for office employees at PT. XZ requires employees to work for quite a long time where based on existing surveys, it is found that office workers spend more than 75% of their working time sitting in front of the computer. Jobs like this are related to several ergonomic risks felt by employees, so it is necessary to measure the level of ergonomics risk in office employees at PT. XZ. Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) is a rapid analysis to measure work risks associated with the use of computers where this method of assessment is designed to measure the risk of worker injury and determine the level of change action based on reports of worker discomfort. From the results of the study it was found that complaints on the employee's body using the CMDQ questionnaire showed that 5 employees felt the most complaints in the lower back by 28.5%, the neck 21%, the upper back 18% and finally the hips / buttocks by 12 ,8%. From the analysis of work posture using the ROSA method, the final score of the five employees is the same, namely 5, which means that it is included in the warning level classification so that it is necessary to improve work posture according to the setting procedure for computer work stations, namely by paying attention to chair height, elbow position, monitor surface distance, monitor height, computer surface position, back and forth backrest, telephone distance, wrist angle, and mouse position.
