Alamat: Jl. Mastrip, Jawa Timur 68101, Indonesia +62 331 333352   There were many issues of human resources management at the Perusahaan Daerah Perkebunan (PDP) Jember. While the competition just makes it more difficult especially increase competitiveness. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership, discipline and motivation on employee performance, and determine the effect of leadership, discipline, motivation and performance of employee productivity. This study uses a confirmatory approach and PDP Jember as an object of research. Data were analyzed using path analysis. The results showed that the leadership, discipline and motivation significantly influence employee performance and leadership, discipline, motivation and employee performance significantly influence employee productivity.     Keywords: Leadership, Discipline, Motivation, Performance, Productivity, PDP Kab. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dihadapi Kabupaten Jember serta untuk merumuskan strategi dalam mengembangkan tembakau di Jember. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Juni hingga Agusutus 2015. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan studi literatur. Analisis data menggunakan Matrik Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), Matrik Eksternal Factor Evaluation (EFE), Matik Internal-Eksternal, Matrik SWOT (strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats), dan Matrik QSPM (Quantitative Strategi Planning Matrix). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kabupaten Jember mempunyai nilai identifikasi terhadap faktor internal sebesar 2.44 dan faktor eksternal sebesar 2.98. Posisi strategi Kabupaten Jember berada pada posisi  hold and maintain yaitu pada kuadran V. Strategi yang dapat digunakan adalah mempertahankan kegiatan yang sudah berlangsung namun tetap mengembangkan kuantitas dan kualitas kegiatan. Terdapat delapan alternatif strategi yang dihasilkan untuk mengembangkan tembakau di Jember dan prioritas strategi yang dihasilkan adalah pengoptimalan peran sub sistem agribisnis.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the condition and governance value chain of kangkong in Ewindo, especially in seed production so that the area of constraints can be identified and raises opportunities for upgrading. The objectives of this study include: 1) conducting value chain mapping, 2) analyzing water spinach seed production business, 3) knowing value chain governance, and 4) developing improvement strategies. This is descriptive research by using value chain analysis, value chain governance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and upgrading strategy. The results show that the value chain governance between Ewindo and farmers is captive, where Ewindo as the lead company is required to have ethical leadership to ensure that farmers receive fair and equal treatment. By the highest benefit-cost ratio 1.63, generally, the contract farming is profitable, except in the new region (Tuban) that the farmers still need to improve their cultivation competencies. Some constraints in the value chain such as transportation facilities, product quality and weather, resulted both economic and social upgrading opportunities, i.e.: product quality improvement through product quality training; the provision of large-capacity and routine transportation; scheduled field schools for new farmers; and increasing strong social relationship with the farmers through family gatherings, achievement awards and initiation of climate index-based insurance.

Abstract

The objectives of the study are: (1) To explore the capability of the farmers to carry out land-use of marginal or dry land; (2) To analyse factors which relate to farmers’ capability in managing marginal land. The study was carried out in Karangmaja village, sub District of Karanggayam, the District of Kebumen Central Java. As many 100 farmers were selected by proportion random sampling as respondents. Data were analyzed using Rank Spearman non parametric method. Important results show that the capability of the farmers to manage marginal land is categorized as sedentary. Internal factors such as: motivation and participation of the farmers to joint farmers’ group, interaction which information sources and dependency on land have significant correlation to the capability of the farmers to manage marginal land.

Abstract

Perguruan tinggi Polije mengembangkan komoditas unggulan melon dengan menerapkan teknologi pertanian presisi. Kendala inefisiensi budidaya melon hidroponik substrat dengan sistem drip yaitu tidak terukur, tidak merata, Oleh karena itu dperlukan sistem drip terprogram melalui penggunaan flow meter. Kegiatan dilaksanakan sejak bulan September 2023 hingga pengamatan tanaman melon dilaporkan. Dilaksanakan oleh tenaga pengajar dan mahasiswa di Green House Polije.  Hasil pertumbuhan tanaman melon yang dinilai adalah tinggi tanaman dan banyak daun. Hasil pengamatan ke 15 dan 30 hari menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang lebih baik dan cepat. Tinggi tanaman relatif seragam. Banyak daun antar tanaman menunjukkan perbedaan 2 helai daun. pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman 35 HST terbaik 137 cm dan jumlah daun terbanyak 28 helai daun. Tanaman melon dapat tumbuh dengan cepat dan baik pada sistem budidaya hidroponik subtrat aplikasi drip terpogram.

Abstract

Era digital ditandai dengan penggunaan jaringan internet untuk kemudahan pelayanan penyuluhan pertanian, namun petani belum mampu mengakses dan memanfaatkan secara maksimal. Pertanian digital bergantung sejauhmana kinerja penyuluh kompeten mendampingi petani, memfasilitasi dan mengedukasi komunikasi informasi berteknologi digital. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis kinerja penyuluh yang dipengaruhi beberapa faktor secara langsung maupun tidak langsung yaitu karakteristik individu penyuluh, motivasi kerja, kelembagaan, dan literasi digital. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah penyuluh pertanian Kabupaten Banyuwangi baik yang berstatus sebagai ASN maupun non ASN berjumlah 142 orang yang seluruhnya dijadikan responden penelitian dengan teknik sensus sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM smartPLS). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi penyuluh memediasi hubungan antara dukungan kelembagaan dan literasi digital terhadap peningkatan kinerja penyuluh. Kompetensi tidak memediasi karakteristik penyuluh dan motivasi terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian disebabkan tidak adanya berpengaruh nyata baik langsung maupun langsung. Implikasi hasil penelitian bahwa pengambil kebijakan Dinas Penyuluhan Pertanian dan Pangan Banyuwangi dalam meningkatkan kinerja penyuluh perlu dilakukan dengan cara meningkatkan dan mempertahankan tingkat kompetensi penyuluh pertanian. Pengembangan kompetensi digital penyuluh merupakan strategi dasar mencapai keberlanjutan kinerja kelembagaan penyuluhan pertanian daerah Dinas pertanian dan Pangan dalam mengoptimalkan daya saing pertanian dan beradaptasi mengikuti perkembangan lingkungan global.

Abstract

Large red chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the leading vegetable commodities which has a strategic role in the structure of national economic development. According to the Central Statistics Agency, in 2021 there will be an increase in red chili production in East Java Province. Jember recorded a harvest of 6,083 tons with a harvest area of 549 Ha. The increasing market demand is not accompanied by sufficient production, resulting in fluctuating red chili prices. Chili farmers in Andongsari often experience problems marketing fresh products, low selling prices during the main harvest of the harvest due to damage during storage. For this reason, the Larasati Women's Farmers Group (KWT) in Andongsari took the initiative to process large red chilies to increase added value and also extend shelf life by drying them. The business of processing chilies into dried chilies is still considered less promising, so KWT Larasati is making efforts to diversify its processed chili products into various processed chili products. This research was conducted to analyze the chili business value chain to increase sales according to sales targets. Based on data used for one month of production, the tuna variant of simbok chili sauce has the highest added value compared to shredded chilies, this is due to the higher frequency of sales of simbok chili sauce so it has a high resale value.

Abstract

Jember merupakan salah satu kota penghasil kopi terkenal di Jawa Timur. Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Perkebunan Jawa Timur, Jember merupakan penghasil kedua setelah Malang. Selain itu, juga karena konsumsi kopi di Kabupeten Jember sangat banyak bahkan minum kopi menjadi bagian  gaya hidup masyarakat Jember. Tapi selama ini kopi hanya di buat minuman saja. Saat ini diversifikasi olahan kopi menjadi camilan belum begitu banyak, sehingga mendorong Bhedag kopi merupakan produsen kopi murni dan olahan yang mengembangkan camilan kopi menjadi kerupuk. Nama kerupuk yang sedang dikembangkan adalah kerupuk kopi dengan  nama Kerupi. Usaha ini dimulai karena melihat keinginan pengemar akan produk olahan kopi. Sebelum memproduksi kerupuk kopi yang dilakukan adalah survei ke pasar melihat animo konsumen peminat kopi akan porduk varian kopi dalam bentuk camilan. Menurut survei yang dilakukan oleh produsen pada tahun 2022, bahwa konsumen mengemari kopi dan menunggu inovasi dari produsen, sehingga bedhag kopi mengembangan usaha dengan kerupuk kopi. Survei yang dilakukan ke daerah kampus baik di jalan Jawa, Jalan Kalimantan dan jalan Mastrip untuk melihat respon pasar akan produk olahan kopi. Hasilnya dari jumlah konsumen sebanyak 60 orang, yang merespon dengan baik kerupuk kopi sebanyak 48 orang, dan sisanya kurang suka akan kerupuk kopi. Melihat potensi kerupuk kopi menjanjikan dan belum ada produsen kerupuk kopi maka bedhag kopi memproduksi kerupuk kopi. Kerupuk kopi belum banyak pesaingnya dan konsumen hanya kalangan tertentu peminat kopi. Tempat usaha kerupi ini sangat strategis yaitu daerah Tegalbesar Kecamatan Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember.

Abstract

Red chili (Capsicum annuum) is a leading horticultural commodity that is perishable and seasonal, so it must be sold immediately after being harvested. To extend its lifespan and durability, processing is required which of course requires additional costs. Marketing processed products in the era of globalization of trade includes various challenges which should be interpreted as opportunities to be able to compete in international markets. KWT LARASATI took the initiative to process large red chilies in order to increase the added value of the harvest and also extend its shelf life. From this process, KWT LARASATI then produces high-value product diversification in the form of processed chili sauce under the Sambal Simbok brand. One variant of the chili sauce produced is tuna chili sauce. So far, KWT LARASATI has carried out marketing techniques in the form of utilizing existing social media, namely WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. However, KWT Larasati still faces a number of obstacles in marketing its Sambal Simbok tuna chili variant to the public. Based on this background, it is necessary to have a strategy in marketing the Sambal Simbok product, a tuna chili variant so that it can produce alternative strategies that suit the processed chili products in KW LARASATI business diversification, as well as using QSPM analysis to determine strategic priorities that are in accordance with internal and external aspects. KWT. The results of this analysis are eight alternative strategies which are then ranked to determine the prioritized strategy.
