Abstract

This study investigates how sustainability leadership impacts sustainability performance through strategic flexibility and sustainability innovation, which function as the mediators. This study collected data from 200 respondents using purposive sampling and 6-point Likert scale questionnaires. The data were subsequently analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings confirm that sustainability leadership significantly and positively impacts sustainability performance through strategic flexibility and innovation. Additionally, data analysis revealed that sustainability leadership has a positive and significant impact on strategic flexibility and sustainability innovation. This study highlights the unique aspect of the Indonesian mining sector. It has not received extensive examination regarding sustainability and sustainability leadership as systems thinking that requires the perspective of interdependent structures and adaptability to changes. Strategic flexibility, as an organization's capability to adapt to changes reactively and proactively, is crucial to the organization's effort to create sustainability innovation to ensure sustainability performance.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The timely dissemination of financial information stands as a cornerstone of transparency and efficiency in modern capital markets. Audit delay, broadly defined as the interval between the financial year-end and the date of issuance of the auditor's report, represents a critical metric of reporting timeliness. The duration of this delay is directly correlated with the time auditors spend on fieldwork, implying that lengthier audit engagements result in extended reporting lags. Consequently, undue delays can significantly diminish the utility of such information for decision-making purposes. This research aims to meticulously re-examine the influence of company size, profitability, solvency, and audit opinion on audit delay within the Indonesian manufacturing sector for the period spanning 2020 to 2024. Using a quantitative method with a secondary approach, the sample was selected using a purposive sampling method, and the data was processed using Eviews and SPSS for multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that company size, profitability (ROA), and solvency (DER) have a significant partial effect on audit delay, while audit opinion has no significant partial effect on audit delay. The research model passed the classical assumption test, meeting the assumption of normality and showing no signs of heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, or autocorrelation. The adjusted R-squared value is 0.237, or 23.7%, indicating that 23.7% of the effect of audit delay can be explained by the variables of company size, solvency, profitability, and auditor opinion, while 76.3% can be explained by other causal factors not included in this study.

Abstract

The Micro Capital Service Unit (ULaMM) program from PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) is a key initiative in empowering micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in Indonesia. This study analyzes the strategic position of ULaMM using the McKinsey 7S framework for internal factors and PESTEL for external factors. The Internal Factors Analysis Summary (IFAS) analysis shows dominant strengths, especially in the empowerment strategy through collateral-free financing, a reach of 626 service units, and synergy with the Ultra Micro Holding, although limited digitalization is a major weakness. The External Factors Analysis Summary (EFAS) analysis reveals significant opportunities from government policy support and the development of digital technology, but threats such as fintech competition and low financial literacy in the 3T region remain challenging. The integration of the results shows that internal strengths can be utilized to capture external opportunities, with recommendations to accelerate digitalization, improve financial literacy training, and develop environmentally friendly products. This study concludes that ULaMM has great potential to drive financial inclusion, but requires adaptive strategies to overcome internal constraints and external threats to maximize the impact of MSE empowerment in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Indonesian banking industry faces demands to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles in line with OJK regulations and the Sustainable Finance Taxonomy. This study analyzes the implementation of sustainable finance at three state-owned banks in KBMI category 4—Bank Mandiri, BRI, and BNI—during the 2022–2024 period. The method used is content analysis of sustainability reports, quantified using content analysis scoring based on GRI indicators and OJK regulations. The results show that Bank Mandiri excels in green financing, BRI excels in microfinance inclusion, and BNI plays a role as a development agent. Disclosure scores range from 70–77 percent, reflecting formal compliance but suboptimal in depth, transparency, and impact measurement. Theoretical analysis using Sustainable Finance Disclosure Theory, Greenwashing Typology, and the ESG Integration Maturity Model indicates that regulatory pressures, market expectations, and reputational demands influence the quality of ESG reporting. All three banks are still in the transition stage from compliance to impact-based integration. External verification, consistency of quantitative indicators, and measurement of tangible results are required so that sustainability reporting functions not merely as a normative obligation, but as an instrument of strategic legitimacy and ongoing accountability.

Abstract

The emergence and acceleration of technology innovation and digitalization in the financial system are increasingly being developed nowadays, especially in the banking and financial sectors. One of them is financial technology, known as FinTech, which increased sustainable business performance in banking. However, it turns out that this synergy and collaboration between banking and fintech has given rise to new problems in the banking and financial system for financial and banking regulators, especially regulatory issues and their implementation. The objective of this study is to formulate policy recommendations for strategies that enhance sustainable performance in the banking sector through leveraging financial technology. For developing policy recommendations, this study uses a mixed-method research approach, which can provide credible research results. The final empirical research results developed a strategic map to inform policy recommendations for sustainable performance improvement strategies in the banking sector for leveraging FinTech. The novelty of this study lies in its application of a mixed-methods approach to formulate policy recommendations for leveraging fintech in enhancing sustainable banking performance. The findings of this study make a significant contribution to the formulation of policy recommendations for Indonesia’s financial regulators, namely Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority.

Abstract

Fiscal decentralization has been widely implemented to improve regional fiscal efficiency and strengthen local fiscal capacity. However, empirical evidence regarding its effectiveness remains inconclusive, particularly in developing countries with diverse institutional capacities. This study examines the associations between regional fiscal policy instruments and provincial fiscal performance in Indonesia, proxied by the growth of Locally Generated Revenue (PAD), while investigating the moderating role of fiscal decentralization. Unlike previous studies that examine fiscal instruments separately or focus mainly on macroeconomic outcomes, this research develops an integrated framework that evaluates financing allocation, development expenditure, transfer funds, and other legitimate revenues within a moderated panel-data model. Using panel data from 33 provincial governments during 2017–2024, the study applies a fixed-effects regression model with interaction terms. The results show that development expenditure is positively and significantly associated with provincial fiscal performance, indicating that productive public spending strengthens regional fiscal capacity. In contrast, financing allocation and transfer funds show no significant direct associations with fiscal performance. Other legitimate revenues demonstrate a positive but limited association. Fiscal decentralization plays a dual moderating role by strengthening the association between transfer funds and fiscal performance while weakening the effects of development expenditure and other legitimate revenues. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of fiscal decentralization depends on fiscal instruments and local institutional capacity rather than producing uniform outcomes. This study contributes to the fiscal decentralization literature by providing an interaction-based empirical framework and practical evidence to support more effective decentralization policies and improve provincial fiscal performance in Indonesia.
