Abstract

Community education and routine use of insecticides are implemented by the government to reduce dengue vectors. Chemical insecticides and larvicides kill mosquitoes faster and optimally, but massive use in the long term will cause resistance effects. Limonoids and flavonoids in Citrus aurantifolia could be substitute temephos in abate. The study aims to enhance community knowledge on homemade biolarvicide from lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) powder against dengue vector in Sukoanyar Village, Lamongan. Target of community education is women who are members of PKK in the Sukoanyar Village, Lamongan. The activities consist of educational sessions about dengue vector control, vector resistance, lime (Citrus aurantifolia) as biolarvicide, and distribution of trifold brochure media. Then, cognitive test sessions were conducted in pre-tests and post-tests. Results showed that the community was very enthusiastic about making powdered lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) as homemade biolarvicide. Moreover, women in Sukoanyar Village have good knowledge (85,5%) about dengue vector control and biolarvicides then increasing to 90,9% during post-test. It was concluded that community knowledge improved regarding dengue vector control and the use of homemade biolarvicide from powdered lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) in tea bags as substitute for abate.

Abstract

Analisis total coliform menggunakan metode uji MPN (Most Probable Number). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis total coliform pada air WSLIC dan pengaruhnya terhadap kesehatan masyarakat di Kecamatan Karangbinangun. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan deskriptif analisis semi kuantitatif dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara stratified random sampling. Hasil analisis total coliform pada air WSLIC dari 8 sampel air yang digunakan seluruhnya teridentifikasi sebagai E.coli dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan masyarakat di Kecamatan Karangbinangun, hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan adanya perbandingan data Puskesmas Karangbinangun dengan data total coliform.Kata Kunci: Total coliform, E.coli, kesehatan masyarakat.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Sampah anorganik yang banyak ditemukan salah satunya adalah plastik. Sampah plastik tersebut secara alami dapat terdegradasi di lingkungan oleh mikroorganisme seperti bakteri. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah Mengetahui hasil penapisan bakteri pendegradasi plastik LDPE pada tanah TPA Tambakrigadung dan persentasi massa plastik yang terdegradasi oleh bakteri. Proses penapisan bakteri dilakukan dengan metode streak plate pada media NA, sedangakan proses biodegradasi menggunakan campuran tanah TPA dengan tambahan media MSM yang dimodifikasi. Hasil penapisan bakteri didapatkan tiga koloni. Persentase penurunan massa plastik pada uji A sebesar 7,86%, sedangkan pada uji B sebesar 13,16%. Hal tersebut dikarenakan komposisi pada suspensi media lebih banyak sehingga akan memberikan kesempatan pada bakteri dalam memanfaatkan komponen plastik. Kata kunci: Penapisan, Plastik LDPE, TPA Tambakrigadung, Biodegradasi

Abstract

Air sebagai senyawa yang penting bagi kehidupan, salah satu sumber air yang banyak dikelola oleh masyarakat adalah sumber air telaga. Salah satu cara yang digunakan untuk mengolah air telaga tersebut adalah dibuatnya program yang disebut Pengolahan Air Minum (PAM) yang menggunakan metode filtrasi pasir. Pengolahan alternatif lainnya yakni secara kimiawi yang menggunakan koagulan Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC). Pencampuran sampel air dengan koagulan PAC dilakukan menggunakan metode jar test. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membedakan sampel KE dengan AT+PAC. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil analisis dibandingkan dengan standart baku mutu air bersih Permenkes No. 32 Tahun 2017 dan Permenkes No. 492 Tahun 2010. Hasil penelitian dari dua perlakuan (KE, AT+PAC) seluruhnya memenuhi standart baku mutu hal tersebut didukung dengan penurunan hasil pengujian kualitas air meliputi kekeruhan sebesar 5.68 NTU, TSS 16.5 mg/L, Fe 0.55 mg/L, dan kesadahan 20 mg/L.Kata kunci: Air telaga, Air hasil olahan existing, PAC, Jar test.

Abstract

Instalasi gizi rumah sakit perlu melakukan upaya higiene sanitasi makanan yang dimulai dari pengamanan bahan makanan sampai dengan penyajian bahan makanan, agar makanan yang dikonsumsi oleh pasien selalu dalam kondisi baik. Selain itu perlu adanya pengawasan terhadap air bersih, tenaga penjamah makanan dan peralatan bagi konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan  mengevaluasi higiene sanitasi pengelolaan makanan, yang mencakup lokasi bangunan, pencahayaan, penghawaan/ventilasi, ruang pengolahan makanan, tempat cuci tangan/toilet, air bersih, karyawan, peralatan masak dan makan berdasarkan syarat higiene sanitasi makanan di Instalasi Gizi Rumah Sakit Islam Muhammadiyah Sumberrejo. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu data yang besarnya semua variabel digambarkan dalam bentuk kategorik yang akan diperoleh korelasi yaitu data variabel bebas dan variabel terikat dibandingkan pada waktu yang sama dengan menggunakan lembar checklist. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi melalui lembar checklist dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan distribusi frekuensi higiene sanitasi makanan di Instalasi Gizi Rumah Sakit Islam Muhammadiyah Sumberrejo ini adalah dari total bobot 74 mendapatkan nilai 68 dengan persentase 91,9% sudah memenuhi syarat karena tingkat pencapaian minimal >70%-74% berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan RI No.1096/Menkes/Per/VI/2011 tentang Kualitas Higiene Sanitasi Jasaboga. Dengan demikian diharapkan untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kualitas higiene sanitasi pengelolaan makanan di Instalasi Gizi Rumah Sakit Islam Muhammadiyah Sumberrejo.Kata kunci : higiene sanitasi, pengelolaan makanan, instalasi gizi, metode pembobotan.

Abstract

The workshop is a work environment with elevated levels of carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM10) hazards. The objective of this research is to analyze the environmental health risks due to exposure to carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter 10 (PM10) at Putra Mandiri Lamongan Car Workshop. The present research employed an analytical observational design, utilizing the Environmental Health Risk Analysis (ARKL) method for a cohort of six mechanical workers. The collection of data was executed through the measurement of air samples using a carbon monoxide (CO) meter, a particle counter, and a questionnaire. The findings indicate that the CO concentration at points 1 and 3 surpasses the quality standards stipulated in PP Number 22 of 2021, with levels of 14.89 mg/m3 and 17.75 mg/m3, respectively. Additionally, the PM10 concentration at point 1 exceeds the quality standard of 0.08 mg/m3. The real-time RQ values for CO and PM10 at three measurement points remain within the safe range (RQ<1), with the exception of a respondent who is not safe from CO exposure at point 3, having (RQ=1.1439). Subsequently, a reduction in the permissible CO exposure concentration at point 3 to 15.517 mg/m3 is imperative. The risk characterization value of exposure to CO and particulate matter (PM10) for Putra Mandiri Lamongan mechanical workers was categorized as safe (RQ<1), with the exception of one respondent. The management of risk is achieved through the implementation of methodologies aimed at the reduction of CO exposure to safe concentrations, phytoremediation, and the requisite utilization of masks.

Abstract

School is a social interaction system of an entire organization consisting of personal interactions linked together in an organic relationship. It was observed that many of the quality of school buildings and sanitation facilities in Kembangbahu Lamongan Village did not meet environmental health requirements. So it becomes a factor causing disease and even transmission of disease between students or teachers at school. The aim of this research is to analyze the health quality of the school environment and health complaints at Madrasah Al Munawwaroh Kembangbahu Lamongan according to the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Decree No. 1429/2006. This research was conducted descriptively about a situation objectively. The population of this study was the total number of Al Munawwaroh Madrasah in Kembangbahu Village, by applying a total sampling technique of 3 school. Data analysis used the School Environmental Health Inspection Form modified from Minister of Health Decree No. 1429/2006 is then calculated using a formula and analyzed and then presented descriptively. The research results show that the majority of schools meet the requirements for location, building construction, building space, room air quality, lighting, ventilation, noise, school sanitation facilities, sports and worship facilities, courtyards and the presence of mosquito larvae
