Abstract

A biopore infiltration hole can handle organic household waste for the composting process. It can be optimized by adding an Effective Microorganism 4 (EM4) activator. This study aims to determine the effect of EM4 addition on water adsorption time, compost weight, and compost quality, according to SNI 19-7030-2004. Lamongan Islamic University's Laboratory of Environmental and Health Science determined the compost test's nutrient content. A cylindrical hole was drilled into the ground using a BIH drill with a diameter of 10 cm and a depth of 50, 75, and 100 cm, with a distance of 100 cm for each hole. The materials used in this study included domestic organic waste, leaves explicitly, and kitchen waste, a 50-ml liquid EM4 "Agriculture" activator diluted with 100 ml of distilled water, and 10 grams of granulated sugar.  The experiment was conducted for 15, 30, and 45 days. To measure the water absorption time, a 2x1x1 m barrier is needed to accommodate 2 m3. The difference in BIH diameter can affect the infiltration rate at the Biopores Infiltration Hole (BIH). The measurement's highest water absorption occurred at the beginning of the 15th day. The addition of EM4 affects the decomposition process and can increase the water absorption rate for 45 days. The EM4 additions affect the decomposition process's timing. Additionally, the addition of EM4 impacts the nutrients in the compost. The addition of EM4 increased the value of C-organic, nitrogen, phosphorus, and total potassium in the BIH compost.

Abstract

Banjir merupakan salah satu bencana alam yang sering terjadi hal tersebut sebagai akibat dari semakin berkurangnya kemampuan tanah dalam menyerap air akibat kerusakan struktur tanah, ditambah dengan pembuangan sampah dengan jumlah yang makin bertambah ke badan-badan air. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penambahan konsentrasi aktivator EM4 yang berbeda pada Lubang Resapan Biopori terhadap waktu penyerapan air, massa kompos dan kualitas kompos selama rentang waktu 15 dan 30 hari. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah waktu penyerapan air dihitung menggunakan stopwatch dan massa kompos dihitung menggunakan timbangan. Perlakuan dibagi menjadi empat antara lain Non-EM4, konsentrasi EM4 sebanyak 1% (5 mL), 5% (25 mL), 10% 50 mL dalam larutan aquades sebanyak 500 mL yang dicampur sampah organik 1,5 kg pada masing-masing lubang. Kualitas kompos yang diukur pada Laboratorium Sumber Daya Lahan Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Jawa Timur, berdasarkan parameter antara lain (C-organik, P-total, N-total, K- total, suhu, pH dan rasio C/N). Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa penambahan EM4 pada lubang resapan biopori tidak signifikan mempengaruhi waktu penyerapan air. Massa kompos paling kecil ditunjukkan pada perlakuan EM4-10%. Hal ini menunjukkan proses dekomposisi terjadi lebih cepat dan banyak mikroorganisme yang membantu proses tersebut. Dari keempat perlakuan, didapatkan perlakuan EM4-10% yang lebih dominan memenuhi standar baku mutu SNI. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, jumlah takaran bioaktivator yang direkomendasikan adalah pada perlakuan EM4-10%.

Abstract

Berawal dari permasalahan timbunan sampah yang menjadi masalah utama Desa Sekaran Lamongan, khususnya sampah popok sekali pakai (diapers) yang kuantitasnya mencapai 120 kg/hari. Sehingga perlu dilakukan program penanganan khusus untuk menanggulangi permasalahan tersebut dengan metode daur ulang (recycle). Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dan sebagai perwujudan komitmen menuju visi desa mandiri sampah pada tahun 2025, program ini perlu dilaksanakan. Dengan pemilahan sampah yang telah dilakukan oleh warga Desa Sekaran, sehingga program ini tinggal meneruskan untuk pengelolaan dan pengolahan sampah yang telah dipilah. Walaupun demikian, masih ada beberapa permasalahan yang dialami oleh mitra antara lain: sampah diapers pada TPS 3R yang dikelola oleh mitra memiliki kapasitas yang tinggi, dan mitra tidak mengetahui bagaimana solusi pengolahan sampah diapers dan manajemen sampah. Dengan demikian, kami tim pengusul berkolaborasi dengan mitra memberikan solusi antara lain: memberikan pengetahuan dampak lingkungan akibat pencemaran yang diakibatkan oleh sampah diapers, memberikan penyuluhan terkait manajemen pemilahan sampah diapers untuk disalurkan ke bank sampah, dan memberikan pengetahuan berupa pemanfaatan/pengelolaan sampah diapers menjadi pupuk cair dan pupuk padat yang bernilai ekonomis. Program-program yang direncanakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra dilakukan dengan metode antara lain: melakukan rapat dan focus group discussion (FGD) dengan mitra, melakukan penyuluhan dampak sampah diapers terhadap lingkungan, melakukan penyuluhan pengolahan sampah diapers menjadi pupuk cair dan pupuk padat, setelah itu dilakukan kegiatan evaluasi program dan rencana tindak lanjut kolaborasi kedepannya, setelah itu akhir dari rangkaian program ini adalah mitra bersama warga Desa Sekaran dapat menghasilkan produk yang bernilai ekonomis dan ramah lingkungan sehingga tercipta sustainable environment skala desa. It begins from the landfill problem as the main problem of Sekaran Lamongan Village, especially disposable diapers whose quantity reaches 120 kg/day. Thus, it is necessary to do a special handling program to overcome these problems with the recycling method (recycle). To overcome this problem and as a manifestation of commitment towards the vision of an independent waste village in 2025, this program needs to be implemented. With the segregation of waste that has been carried out by the residents of Sekaran Village, this program only remains for the management and processing of the sorted waste. Even so, there are still some problems experienced by partners, including: diapers waste at TPS 3R which is managed by partners has a high capacity, and partners do not know how to solve diapers waste management and waste management. Thus, our proposing team collaborates with partners to provide solutions including: providing knowledge of the environmental impact due to pollution caused by waste diapers, providing counseling regarding the management of segregating diapers waste to be distributed to waste banks, and providing knowledge in the form of utilizing/managing diapers waste into fertilizer liquid and solid fertilizers with economic value. Programs planned to address partners' problems are carried out using methods including: holding meetings and focus group discussions (FGD) with partners, conducting counseling on the impact of diapers waste on the environment, conducting counseling on processing diapers waste into liquid fertilizer and solid fertilizer, after that it is carried out program evaluation activities and follow-up plans for collaboration in the future, after that the end of this series of programs is that partners with Sekaran Village residents can produce products that are economically valuable and environmentally friendly to create a sustainable village-scale environment.

Abstract

Environmental factors are important factors for healthy living, health efforts, control, and security of public facilities to prevent disease transmission. One of the public facilities is a market. In Lamongan Regency, there are three main markets that are the center of the community's economy, including: Sidoharjo Market, Sidomulyo Market, and Fish Market. Therefore it is necessary to evaluate the feasibility of environmental health. The type of research used is a mixture based on the results of observations and the results of the assessment listed in formular 2 (Permenkes) No. 17 of 2020 concerning Healthy Markets, to obtain the health feasibility of the market environment. From the results of these studies, it shows that the environmental health feasibility of the Sidoharjo market has not met the eligibility requirements for environmental health with a percentage (63.3%), the Sidomulyo market has not met the environmental health eligibility requirements with a percentage (55.7%), and for the fish market is not yet. meet the eligibility requirements for environmental health with a percentage (53.4%). Suggestions for the three markets to build hand washing facilities equipped with soap, plant trees around the market area for fresh air.Keywords: Evaluation, Environmental health, Market

Abstract

Sekaran Village in overcoming the waste problem by forming TPS3R. An alternative to overcome this waste problem is cultivating maggot, which is used as fodder for chickens and catfish. This study aims to examine the effect of consumer perceptions on chicken and catfish purchasing decisions as a result of feeding maggots. The subject of this research is the people of Sekaran Village, with a sample of 100 people. The analysis used in this study uses index transformation analysis and partial t-test using SPSS 23. The analysis results of individual factor index transformation are 70.73%, stimulus factor is 71.58%, attitude is 55.23%, interest is 71.58%, and motivation is 69.46%. Based on the partial t-test analysis results, the individual factor indicator has a value of 6,930 > 1,985. The stimulus factor indicator has a value of 2,804 > 1,985. The attitude indicator is 4,785 >1,985, the interest indicator is 7,320 > 1,985, and the motivations are 6,184 > 1,985. Keywords: consumer perception, decision purchase, maggot BSF, TPS3R

Abstract

Air minum adalah air yang diolah dengan teknik pengolahan atau tanpa teknik pengolahan yang memenuhi syarat kesehatan serta dapat langsung diminum. DAM yaitu badan usaha yang mengelola air minum sebagai keperluan masyarakat dalam bentuk curah, serta dikemas dalam kemasan botol sebanyak 19 liter, Kurangnya pengawasan serta pengetahuan penjamah terhadap higiene dan sanitasi menjadikan kualitas air minum isi ulang tidak memenuhi Permenkes No. 492 Tahun 2014 tentang Persyaratan Kualitas Air Minum, Metode ini menggunakan data primer yakni penilaian inspeksi sanitasi secara langsung di Depot Air Minum di Kecamatan Solokuro, Kualitas Air yang di uji dalam penelitian ini meliputi pH, TDS, COD, total coliform sesuai dengan setandar baku mutu Permenkes RI No. 43 Tahun 2014.Pada proses penelitian ini di temukan bahwa depot air minum di kecamatan solokuro kurang memenuhi standar baku mutu air minum yang ditentukan hal ini dikarenakan kualitasair minum yang di uji melebihi ambang batas yang sudah di tentukan.Penilaian kelaikan higiene sanitasi di kecamatan solokuro cenderung baik dan memenuhi standar baku mutu yang di tetapkan sedangkan beberapa sampel air minum di kecamatan solokuro belum memenuhi standar baku mutu air minum yang di tentukan.

Abstract

Access to clean water is an essential aspect of a healthy society, as physical and mental well-being cannot be achieved without it. Despite its importance, many water sources are contaminated by household, industrial, and agricultural waste. To address the issue of clean water availability in the region, this community service program aimed to educate and empower residents of Gampang Sejati Village through the implementation of a simple water filtration method using Bengawan Solo River water. The program involved training, socialization, practical application, and evaluation. The primary objective was to equip the community with the knowledge and skills to create and use basic filtration systems that meet health and hygiene standards. A total of 25 community representatives participated in the training sessions, which included technical demonstrations, material introductions, and hands-on practice. Evaluation methods included post-training assessments to measure the effectiveness of knowledge transfer and community feedback. To ensure sustainability, the program proposed forming community groups to oversee the maintenance and improvement of the filtration systems. This initiative aims to provide a long-term solution to water contamination while fostering community responsibility for clean water management. This structured approach not only addressed immediate water filtration needs but also emphasized the importance of continuous education and local engagement for sustainable impacts.

Abstract

Community education and routine use of insecticides are implemented by the government to reduce dengue vectors. Chemical insecticides and larvicides kill mosquitoes faster and optimally, but massive use in the long term will cause resistance effects. Limonoids and flavonoids in Citrus aurantifolia could be substitute temephos in abate. The study aims to enhance community knowledge on homemade biolarvicide from lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) powder against dengue vector in Sukoanyar Village, Lamongan. Target of community education is women who are members of PKK in the Sukoanyar Village, Lamongan. The activities consist of educational sessions about dengue vector control, vector resistance, lime (Citrus aurantifolia) as biolarvicide, and distribution of trifold brochure media. Then, cognitive test sessions were conducted in pre-tests and post-tests. Results showed that the community was very enthusiastic about making powdered lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) as homemade biolarvicide. Moreover, women in Sukoanyar Village have good knowledge (85,5%) about dengue vector control and biolarvicides then increasing to 90,9% during post-test. It was concluded that community knowledge improved regarding dengue vector control and the use of homemade biolarvicide from powdered lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) in tea bags as substitute for abate.

Abstract

Sanitasi lingkungan yang buruk dapat menyebabkan penyakit DBD. Penyakit DBD merupakan penyakit mematikan. Jumlah kasus tercatat tahun 2017 sebanyak 68.407 orang. Lamongan merupakan salah satu wilayah KLB di Jawa Timur, terjadi peningkatan kasus 2 kali lipat pada periode yang sama yakni dari 23 kasus bulan Januari 2014  meningkat 49 kasus pada bulan Januari 2015, jumlah kasus  terus meningkat  dan sampai hari sabtu tanggal  31 Januari 2015  laporan ditutup dengan jumlah kasus 86 penderita yang tersebar 19 Kecamatan. Salah satu Kecamatan di Kabupaten Lamongan adalah Karangbinangun, tindakan pencegahan penyakit DBD antara lain dengan cara kegiatan promosi kesehatan guna meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan kebiasaan keluarga. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode ceramah dan metode leaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang demam berdarah dengue. Abstract

Air sebagai senyawa yang penting bagi kehidupan, salah satu sumber air yang banyak dikelola oleh masyarakat adalah sumber air telaga. Salah satu cara yang digunakan untuk mengolah air telaga tersebut adalah dibuatnya program yang disebut Pengolahan Air Minum (PAM) yang menggunakan metode filtrasi pasir. Pengolahan alternatif lainnya yakni secara kimiawi yang menggunakan koagulan Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC). Pencampuran sampel air dengan koagulan PAC dilakukan menggunakan metode jar test. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membedakan sampel KE dengan AT+PAC. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil analisis dibandingkan dengan standart baku mutu air bersih Permenkes No. 32 Tahun 2017 dan Permenkes No. 492 Tahun 2010. Hasil penelitian dari dua perlakuan (KE, AT+PAC) seluruhnya memenuhi standart baku mutu hal tersebut didukung dengan penurunan hasil pengujian kualitas air meliputi kekeruhan sebesar 5.68 NTU, TSS 16.5 mg/L, Fe 0.55 mg/L, dan kesadahan 20 mg/L.Kata kunci: Air telaga, Air hasil olahan existing, PAC, Jar test.
