Abstract

Potential-Based Community Service (PMBP) includes education, training, and service which are the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. PMBP activities are important to continue to be carried out by students, the purpose of PMBP is to develop the personality of the students themselves "Personality Development". This PMBP activity was carried out in two different places with different activity programs. The location of the first activity of MI "Literacy" Miftahul Huda Wajak with educational activity programs (reading tutoring and mathematics olympiad), and sports training. The second location is at SMK Dharma Wanita 02 Wajak with a Bullying Counseling activity program. The data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observations, and documentation. The results obtained in the field of education are in the form of improving reading skills, and practicing the ability to work on mathematics Olympiad problems. In the field of training in the form of providing a basic understanding in sports. In the field of counseling, it is in the form of understanding the dangers and negative impacts of bullying in the school and community environment. This PMBP activity can be able to provide benefits for the schools where PMBP is carried out.

Abstract

Pergeseran dari kurikulum 2013 ke kurikulum merdeka mengharuskan para guru untuk menunjukkan kreativitas yang lebih besar dalam memberikan pengajaran. Tidak adanya inovasi dalam pendidikan menyebabkan siswa kurang memahami, dan hanya mengandalkan materi pembelajaran dari satu sumber saja akan membatasi keragaman pengalaman belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat e-modul bagi kelas X di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. E-Modul ini akan dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model kooperatif yang bersifat terbuka dan berbasis aplikasi Canva. Peneliti melakukan penilaian terhadap e-modul ini untuk mengevaluasi validitas dan kepraktisannya. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Studi ini menggunakan paradigma pengembangan ADDIE, yang terdiri dari lima tahap berbeda: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Profesional mengotentikasi produk akhir. Metode validasinya melibatkan pakar pendidikan matematika seperti guru besar dan instruktur dari SMK tempat penelitian dilakukan. Selain itu, ahli media yang juga merupakan dosen pendidikan matematika juga dilibatkan dalam proses validasi. Selanjutnya, proses validasi juga melibatkan ahli angket respon siswa yang juga merupakan dosen pendidikan matematika. Validasi ahli menghasilkan penilaian validitas yang tinggi, dengan kategori 93% ahli materi, 90% ahli media, dan 95% ahli angket respon siswa sangat valid. Sementara itu, angket respon siswa menghasilkan persentase nilai 97%, yang menunjukkan tingkat validitas yang tinggi. Hasil validasi dan survei respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa e-modul yang dihasilkan layak dan praktis untuk keperluan pembelajaran

Abstract

Purpose: To analyze the mathematical concept comprehension of students with speech delay and investigate the correlation between communication impairments and mathematical cognition in elementary education. Design/methodology/approach: This descriptive qualitative study involved three second-grade students with speech delay. Data collection utilized mathematical concept understanding tests based on five indicators, supplemented by interviews and structured observations to ensure data depth and validity. Findings: Results indicate that the subjects' conceptual understanding is categorized as low, specifically regarding measurement and terminological accuracy. The findings demonstrate that restricted linguistic and communication abilities significantly hinder the internalisation of mathematical concepts. Practical implications: The study suggests that educators should integrate linguistic stimulation within inclusive mathematics instruction to support students with speech impediments in achieving optimal conceptual mastery. Originality/value: This research provides a unique contribution to mathematics education literature by uncovering the nexus between speech delay and mathematical conceptualisation, an area currently underexplored.   Purpose: Menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik speech delay serta mengeksplorasi hubungan antara hambatan komunikasi dengan kognisi matematis di tingkat sekolah dasar. Design/methodology/approach: Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini melibatkan tiga siswa kelas 2 Sekolah Dasar yang mengalami speech delay. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi tes pemahaman konsep (berdasarkan lima indikator), wawancara, dan observasi terstruktur untuk memastikan kedalaman data. Findings: Pemahaman konsep matematika subjek berada pada kategori rendah, terutama pada materi ukuran dan akurasi penggunaan terminologi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan kemampuan bahasa dan komunikasi secara signifikan menghambat proses internalisasi konsep matematis peserta didik. Practical implications: Studi ini merekomendasikan pendidik untuk mengintegrasikan stimulasi komunikasi ke dalam strategi pembelajaran matematika inklusif guna membantu siswa dengan hambatan bicara mencapai pemahaman konsep yang optimal. Originality/value: Memberikan kontribusi unik pada literatur pendidikan matematika dengan mengungkap keterkaitan antara hambatan perkembangan bahasa (speech delay) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika yang masih jarang dieksplorasi.

Abstract

Tutoring plays an important role in the development of children's learning, because not only what is obtained at school, learning outside of school has a considerable impact and influences student learning motivation. Non-formal education is expected to increase students' interest or interest in learning.  In non-formal education students are invited to study with methods that are different from formal education in general, non-formal education is more relaxed and attractive by introducing something new or what they don't understand with interesting things, in contrast to formal education, learning is more fun by  playing games as a distraction and also as an insert in learning. Students are not only required to be able to memorize but also must understand and be interested because by being interested students themselves find out what they don't know.  For this reason, the application of learning using the learning and playing method can motivate students in learning to become individuals who are more creative and active in thinking and also solving problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masalah-masalah yang berkaitan dengan pembuktian teorema bilangan bulat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesalahan apa saja yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam membutikan teorema bilangan bulat. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika IKIP Budi Utomo yang sedang mengampu matakuliah teori bilangan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes uraian yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kesalahan-kesalahan mahasiswa dalam membuktikan teorema bilangan bulat, dan wawancara yang digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan mahasiswa melakukan kesalahan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan mahasiswa adalah (1) kesalahan konsep yang berupa kesalahan dalam memahami makna soal, kesalahan pengunaan variabel dimana mengambil angka 1 dan ditunjukkan kembali menjadi 1, (2) kesalahan prinsip berupa salah menerjemahkan soal yang ditandai dengan penulisan (-1)(-1) diawal dan diakhir jawaban tanpa adanya makna yang jelas, (3) kesalahan tidak adanya penggunaan teorema yang jelas. This research is motivated by problems related to the proof of the integer theorem. The purpose of this study was to find out what errors were made by students in proving the integer theorem. The subject of this research is the mathematics education student of IKIP Budi Utomo who is teaching number theory course. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection techniques used are is a description test that is used to find out student errors in proving the integer theorem, and interviews are used to find out what factors cause students to make mistakes. Based on the results of the study, it showed that the types of errors made by students were (1) conceptual errors in the form of errors in understanding the meaning of the questions, errors in the use of variables which took the number 1 and was shown back to 1, (2) principle errors in the form of mistranslating the questions marked by writing (-1)(-1) at the beginning and at the end of the answer without a clear meaning, (3) the error does not use a clear theorem.

Abstract

Algebra is basic material in mathematics lessons which has an important role and needs to be mastered by students. Therefore, students, especially MTs/SMP students, must understand algebra concepts well. This research aims to determine the types of errors made by students and the factors that cause students to make these errors. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive type. Meanwhile, the research subjects were class VII students at MTs An-Nahdloh Candibinangun. This research took the form of 2 tests, namely an algebraic arithmetic operation test and story questions. The results of the research showed that the types of errors made by students in completing algebraic calculation operation questions were 61.42%, the factors causing errors were students' lack of understanding of the concept of variables and lack of focus on different calculation operations. Meanwhile, the story test questions showed that the types of errors made by students were conclusion errors, namely 28.57%, the factor causing errors was because students found it difficult to capture important information in the questions.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the application of the discovery learning learning model with scales to improve PLSV Completion Ability. There has not been much research on discovery learning using scales as a tool. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The research subjects were 22 students in class VII A of SMPN 3 Tirtoyudo Satu Roof. Data collection techniques are carried out by observing during the learning process, student answers and student learning outcomes. The research results show that students' ability to complete PLSV increases, student learning outcomes also increase, and the learning process is more meaningful. Students whose ability to solve PLSV questions had increased and developed reached 14.8%, namely 4 students, students who developed according to expectations reached 37.1%, namely 10 students, students who were starting to develop reached 29.6%, namely 8 students. students and 5 students have not developed their ability to solve PLSV questions.

Abstract

The research in this article was conducted with the aim of analyzing students' mistake in solving problems on statistical material. The subject matter of statistical material is related to the presentation of data in the form of diagrams and tables, average in problem solving, median and mode. This research belongs to the typeof descriptive research using qualitative research methods. The test instrument is theinstrument used in this study which consists of 5 multiple choice questions, eachof which contains indicators of student competency achievement. The analysis of thelevel of student difficulty was carried out after the data was collected based ontheresults of the written test that had been done. Based on the data collected will bedisclosed, analyzed, and described in words about the difficulties of students instatistical material. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that student errors in working on problems on statistical material, namely students makemistakes on indicators determining the data value of the two average values, withanerror percentage of 80%. besides that, students also had errors in the indicators of determining the pie chart that matched the data, with a percentage error valueof 60%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Crocle Math learning media to improve the understanding of mathematical concepts in junior high school mathematics learning that is valid, practical and effective. The research method used in this study is research and development (R&D). The research design used is Borg & Gall. The subjects in this study were media experts, material experts and VII grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Dau One Roof. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets to determine the validity of the media, student response questionnaires to determine the practicality of the media, and mathematical concept understanding test tests to determine the effectiveness of the media. The results of this study indicate that the results of the Crocle Math media development receive a valid category based on the validation by material experts with a percentage of 88% and media experts with a percentage of 96% with both in the very good category. In addition, based on the practicality of the media from the results of student response questionnaires get a percentage of 77% with a practical category and the effectiveness of the media from the results of the mathematical concept understanding test test results that students' concept understanding in learning mathematics has increased based on the scores they get. The results of both tests get an n-gain score of 0.63 with a moderate category. Therefore, Crocle Math media is declared as valid, practical and effective media for learning mathematics.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to develop interactive learning media Excited Math Games on set material for class VII junior high school students. The research method used is development research referring to the ADDIE model. The research instruments were media development sheets and student learning outcomes tests. The results of the research are based on the design carried out (1) analysis: needs analysis which shows that the use of learning media is still limited, and students have not been actively involved in the learning process, technology analysis, a combination of Power Point and iSping Suite 10 used as the main software, and curriculum analysis according to with the 2013 curriculum; (2) design: collecting references, designing material content according to aspects of understanding concepts, preparing stoyboards and flowcharts to make it easier to create learning media; (3) development; creating learning media, expert validation to determine the validity of learning media, and revising phase I products based on validator input; (4) implementation: trial to obtain data on students' level of understanding of concepts after applying learning media; (5) evaluation: analyzing student learning test results to determine the level of understanding of concepts. The quality of the learning media developed meets the very valid criteria based on the assessment of media experts and material experts with scores of 3.8125 and 3.65 respectively. Meanwhile, the level of understanding of students' concepts after applying the Excited Math Games learning media obtained very high criteria based on student learning outcomes tests with a completeness percentage of 86.67% and an average score of 88 or above the students' completeness score, namely > 70.
