Abstract

In carrying out rice farming in non tidal swamp land, farmers face various problems. The problems or obstacles faced by farmers cause low productivity and sometimes crop failure. Low productivity has an impact on the low income earned by farming households and in aggregate can disrupt national food security and security. If the income earned by farmers from rice farming continues to decline, it is likely that farmers' interest in cultivating rice will also decrease and over time this will threaten the sustainability of rice farming in non tidal swamp areas. Therefore, this research aims to (1) Analyze the factors that are problematic in non tidal swamp land in rice farming, (2) Analyze indicators of interest in the sustainability of non tidal swamp rice farming in South Sumatra Province and (3) Analyze The influence of the problems of non tidal swamp land on farmers' interest in continuing to cultivate rice in non tidal swamp land. The research method used was a survey method with 80 farmers as respondents. The data analysis used in this research is multiple regression analysis and sustainability index figures. The TKT output target of this research is that the important concepts and characteristics of a technology have been proven analytically and experimentally. The results of the research show that the educational human capital variable has a significant effect on problems in the non tidal swamp area. From the results of the analysis, it can also be seen that the sustainability value is 55, meaning that the sustainability of rice farming in the non tidal swamps of South Sumatra Province is at a fairly sustainable level. These results are also in line with field conditions, where farmers still want or are interested in continuing to carry out rice farming in non tidal swamp land. The relationship obtained from the data analysis carried out between the problems of non tidal swamp land and the interest in sustainable farming which was analyzed using a correlation test had a value of 0.45, which means that there is a fairly strong relationship between the problems of lowland swamp land and farmers' interest in continuing to carry out sustainable farming.

Abstract

Introduction: This study analyzes the correlation of food consumption expenditure on the achievement of PPH scores which is influenced by several factors such as the number of household members, non-food expenditures, and length of education. Methods: This research method is using quantitativemethods. The method of determining the number of samples used is disproportionate stratified random sampling. The data analysis method regarding the correlation of food consumption expenditure to the value of PPH uses Spearman Rank correlation analysis and the method of analyzing factors that affect household food consumption expenditure using multiple linear regression analysis methods. Result: From the results of the study, it was found that the correlation value between food consumption expenditure and the achievement of the PPH score was 0.665, which means that it is strongly correlated and simultaneously the factors that affect food consumption expenditure affect because of the significant value of f is less than 0.005 which is worth 0.00 and partially which was tested with the T-test, the results were significant only on the high-income dummy variable, which was worth 0.23 which could be interpreted that households with high incomes had higher household consumption expenditures as much as 393,336,718 compared to food consumption expenditures of medium and low-income households. Conclusion: To formulate recommendations for efforts that can be made to achieve the optimal outcome for postpartum hemorrhage, participants are expected to be able to eat well-balanced nutritious foods of good nutritional value, focusing not only on quantity but also nutritional quality and nutrition. food content.

Abstract

The marketing oil palm FFB is a process of the commodity flow accompanied by a transfer of ownership rights, creation of time utility, place utility, and form utility undertaken by marketing institutions that implement one or more marketing functions.  Selling of oil palm FFB by the farmers involve village middlemen, and wholesaler. This type of marketing implementation seems to have an influence on FFB price at farmer’s gate.  The results showed that marketing functions conducted by all marketing institutions were financing and risk-taking, while other marketing functions were done by individuals related to their position and requirement.  The total marketing margin of the traders was IDR 700,00 (63.64% of FFB price at the farm gate), while the farmer’s share was 61.11% from the FFB price at the processing plant.  There were two marketing channels of FFB in operation, the first included farmers – small traders – big traders – palm oil processing plant, and the second was farmers-big traders-palm oil processing plant. The second channel was more efficient, but the farmers prefer to use the first channel because their FFB production was not enough to fulfill the minimum selling required by the big traders. The majority of farmers still sell their FFB to village middlemen.
