Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of cognitive style and motivation to learn mathematics on the ability to solve mathematical problems. The research method used is ecso facto research by using the Geft test instrument to measure cognitive style, a learning motivation scale questionnaire and a test of mathematical problem solving abilities. The population in this study was PGSD Bone Campus VI FIP UNM students who programed an introductory course on basic mathematics. The data analysis technique used is Two-Way Anova. The results showed that (a) cognitive style significantly influenced the ability of mathematical problem solving, (b) the motivation to learn mathematics had a significant positive effect on the ability to solve mathematical problems, (c) the cognitive style and mathematics learning motivation together significantly influenced on the ability to solve mathematical problems, (d) there are differences in the ability to solve mathematical problems based on cognitive style and learning motivation where the independent field skills with high mathematical learning motivation results in the ability to solve mathematical problems in the good category. Conclusion cognitive style and motivation to learn mathematics have a significant influence on the ability to solve mathematical problems.

Abstract

Industri minyak sawit merupakan salah satu industri yang mengalami pertumbuhan yang cukup pesat. Proses pengolahan kelapa sawit dapat menghasilkan limbah cair. Tingginya bahan organik yang dikandung oleh limbah cair dapat mengakibatkan beban pencemaran yang semakin besar, karena diperlukan degradasi bahan organis yang lebih besar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui metode pengolahan yang digunakan dan kualitas limbah cair di PT Perkebunan Nusantara XIV Kabupaten Luwu Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan pemeriksaan limbah cair parameter Biologycal Oxygen Demand dan Total Suspended Solid. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode pengolahan limbah yang digunakan adalah Biologycal Ponding System dengan menggunakan 6 kolam. Adapun kualitas limbah cair pemeriksaan outlet parameter BOD dan TSS menunjukkan nilai yang memenuhi syarat sesuai dengan PermenLH No. 5 Tahun 2014 dengan nilai rata-rata BOD sebesar 81,3 mg/L dan penurunan sebesar 32% serta nilai rata-rata TSS sebesar 119,3 mg/L dengan penurunan sebesar 98%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu metode pengolahan limbah cair yang digunakan di PT Perkebunan Nusantara XIV Kabupaten Luwu Timur sudah memenuhi syarat karena dapat menurunkan kadar limbah cair parameter BOD dan TSS sebelum di buang ke badan penerima air Kata kunci : BOD, Limbah Cair, TSS

Abstract

This research aims to examine the dynamics of Islamic education in the context of the Dutch and Japanese colonial periods. The type of research is qualitative in the form of literature research using data collection techniques from the books and journals. The results of this research are that Islamic education during the Dutch colonial period is described in a dichotomous state (distinction based on its organizers, namely non-governmental organizations or the Dutch government and discriminatory (different treatment between self-supporting educational institutions and colonial educational institutions). Meanwhile, Islamic education during the Japanese colonial period is described as a process bright because the Japanese government reactivated the madrasah which was closed by the Dutch government and gave it a lot of assistance and support in various forms for the progress of the madrasah and made it equal with public schools even though in the end it was read as just a "mask".

Abstract

Latar belakang: Aktivitas belajar mengajar di ruangan selama 8-10 jam setiap harinya berpotensi meningkatkan pencemaran udara dalam ruangan, termasuk mikroorganisme. Pengendalian mikroorganisme di dalam ruangan dapat dilakukan dengan disinfeksi menggunakan disinfektan, seperti eco enzyme. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh eco enzyme dari kulit nanas (Ananas comosus) dan kulit jeruk (Citrus Sinesis L.) terhadap penurunan jumlah kuman udara.Metode: Jenis penelitian merupakan eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Pre-Post Test Control Design dengan masing-masing variasi bahan eco enzyme menggunakan konsentrasi 25% dan waktu kontak selama 1 jam. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2023 – April 2024. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian adalah eco enzyme kulit nanas dan kulit jeruk, variabel terikat yaitu angka kuman udara.  Sementara variabel pengganggu yaitu suhu dan kelembaban. Populasi penelitian adalah jumlah kuman udara di ruang kelas SMA Negeri 12 Makassar. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purposive Sampling di ruang kelas XII MIPA 4, XII MIPA 5, dan XII MIPA 6. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari jumlah kuman udara yang dihitung menggunakan media plate count agar. Pengukuran berdasarkan Permenkes No. 2 Tahun 2023, di mana angka kuman yang memenuhi syarat adalah <700 CFU/m3. Analisis statistik dilakukan menggunakan Uji One Way ANOVA dan Uji Post Hoc Tukey HSD untuk membandingkan kelompok perlakuan secara spesifik. Keputusan diambil berdasarkan nilai p, di mana p-value > 0,05 menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh, sedangkan p-value < 0,05 menunjukkan adanya pengaruh.Hasil: Pada uji pre-test, jumlah kuman udara tercatat sebanyak 214 CFU/m3, sementara setelah perlakuan dengan eco enzyme kulit nanas (Ananas comosus), jumlahnya menurun menjadi 107 CFU/m3, dengan persentase penurunan sebesar 50%. Sedangkan pada uji dengan eco enzyme kulit jeruk (Citrus Sinesis L.), jumlah kuman udara pre-test tercatat 216 CFU/m3 dan menurun menjadi 144 CFU/m3, dengan persentase penurunan sebesar 33,33%. Uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa eco enzyme kulit nanas memiliki p-value 0,004 (<0,05), sehingga dinyatakan berpengaruh, sedangkan eco enzyme kulit jeruk memiliki p-value 0,057 (>0,05), sehingga dinyatakan tidak berpengaruh signifikan.Simpulan: Disarankan kepada pengelola sekolah untuk menggunakan eco enzyme, terutama eco enzyme kulit nanas (Ananas comosus), sebagai alternatif disinfektan guna mengurangi angka kuman udara. ABSTRACT Title: Effect of Eco Enzyme of Pineapple Peel (Ananas Comosus) and Orange Peel (Citrus Sinesis L.) in Reducing The Number of Air GermsBackground: Classroom learning activities lasting 8-10 hours each day have the potential to increase indoor air pollution, including microorganisms. Microorganism control indoors can be achieved through disinfection using disinfectants such as eco enzyme. This study aims to evaluate the effects of eco enzymes derived from pineapple peel (Ananas comosus) and orange peel (Citrus Sinesis L.) on reducing airborne germ counts.Method: The study is a quasi-experimental with a Pre-Post Test Control Design, using 25% concentrations of eco enzyme variants and a 1-hour contact time. The study was conducted from November 2023 to April 2024. The independent variables were the eco enzymes made from pineapple and orange peels, while the dependent variable was the airborne germ count. Disturbing variables included temperature and humidity. The population of the study consisted of airborne germs in the classrooms of SMA Negeri 12 Makassar. The samples were selected using Purposive Sampling, targeting classes XII MIPA 4, XII MIPA 5, and XII MIPA 6. The sample consisted of the airborne germ count calculated using plate count agar media. Measurements followed Permenkes No. 2 of 2023, where the standard for germ count is <700 CFU/m³. Statistical analysis was carried out using One-Way ANOVA and Post Hoc Tukey HSD to compare the treatment groups in detail. The decision rule was based on p-value, where p-value > 0.05 indicates no effect, while p-value < 0.05 indicates an effect.Result: In the pre-test, the airborne germ count was recorded at 214 CFU/m³, while after treatment with pineapple peel eco enzyme (Ananas comosus), the count decreased to 107 CFU/m³, showing a reduction of 50%. Meanwhile, in the test using orange peel eco enzyme (Citrus Sinesis L.), the pre-test airborne germ count was recorded at 216 CFU/m³ and decreased to 144 CFU/m³, with a reduction of 33.33%. Statistical tests showed that the pineapple peel eco enzyme had a p-value of 0.004 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect, while the orange peel eco enzyme had a p-value of 0.057 (>0.05), indicating no significant effect.Conclusion: It is recommended that school administrators use eco enzymes, especially pineapple peel eco enzyme (Ananas comosus), as an alternative disinfectant to minimize airborne germ counts.

Abstract

Pendidikan Islam memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter dan potensi individu, serta dalam pengembangan masyarakat secara keseluruhan. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pendidikan Islam dalam konteks lembaga pendidikan informal, formal, dan nonformal di Indonesia. Tiga jalur pendidikan ini diakui secara resmi dan masing-masing memiliki karakteristik, kelebihan, dan kekurangan yang saling melengkapi. Pendidikan formal, yang diselenggarakan oleh madrasah, berfungsi sebagai lembaga resmi yang terstruktur dan diatur oleh pemerintah, memberikan pendidikan yang mencakup ilmu agama dan pengetahuan umum. Pendidikan nonformal, seperti Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPQ) dan berbagai kursus, menawarkan alternatif bagi masyarakat untuk mendapatkan pendidikan di luar jalur formal. Pendidikan ini sering kali lebih fleksibel dan dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik, terutama bagi anak usia dini. Melalui pendidikan nonformal, masyarakat dapat memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang bermanfaat untuk kehidupan sehari-hari, serta memperkuat nilai-nilai keagamaan. Selain itu, makalah ini juga membahas perbedaan mendasar antara pendidikan formal, nonformal, dan informal. Pendidikan informal, yang berlangsung di lingkungan keluarga atau masyarakat, memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan karakter dan nilai-nilai keagamaan individu. Jenis pendidikan ketiga ini saling melengkapi dan berkontribusi dalam menciptakan masyarakat yang berakhlak mulia dan berpengetahuan. Dengan demikian, makalah ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai peran dan pentingnya pendidikan Islam dalam berbagai lembaga pendidikan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini juga mendorong pembaca untuk lebih menghargai dan memanfaatkan setiap jalur pendidikan yang ada, guna mendukung pengembangan diri dan masyarakat yang lebih baik. Melalui pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang pendidikan Islam, diharapkan generasi mendatang dapat menjadi individu yang tidak hanya berpengetahuan, tetapi juga memiliki akhlak yang baik dan mampu memberikan kontribusi positif bagi bangsa dan negara.

Abstract

This paper discusses the development of Islamic education during the Abbasid Dynasty, known as the golden era of Islam. During this period, Islamic education experienced remarkable progress with the establishment of various educational institutions such as kuttabs, madrasas, libraries, and hospitals. The Abbasid caliphs not only supported religious sciences but also encouraged the advancement of knowledge and technology. The tradition of translating foreign works and conducting scientific studies became a hallmark of this era, producing many prominent Muslim scholars. This study aims to elaborate on the history of the Abbasid Dynasty, the development of educational institutions, and their influence on modern Islamic education. It is hoped that this research can contribute to understanding a comprehensive model of Islamic education that is relevant to the current context.

Abstract

Background, Reporting of inpatient service indicators plays an important role in evaluating hospital performance. This study analyzes the use of daily inpatient census data in compiling reports of inpatient service indicators for the first quarter of 2023 at Syekh Yusuf Hospital, Gowa Regency. The data used includes the daily inpatient census for the period January–March 2023 using the total sampling method. The indicators calculated include Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR), Average Length of Stay (AvLOS), Turn Over Interval (TOI), Bed Turn Over (BTO), Net Death Rate (NDR), and Gross Death Rate (GDR). The results of the study show that the calculation of indicators only uses data on days of treatment and length of stay of patients as the basis for analysis. Reporting is done manually and computerized in the form of tables, bar graphs, and Barber Johnson graphs. However, data utilization has not been optimal because the results obtained are not entirely accurate. In conclusion, the implementation of processing and processing of daily inpatient census data needs to be improved in order to produce more valid and accurate reports”.

Abstract

In the era of increasingly widespread globalization, every nation needs to increase its competitiveness in various fields, especially its human resources. In order to be able to compete, everyone is required to be able to develop science and technology. In order to answer the increasingly difficult challenges, educational institutions must make significant changes, in order to produce human resources who are able to respond to every change. Many things are problems and challenges in the world of education, including madrasas. All the challenges and problems faced require serious solutions, in order to produce quality human resources in terms of science, technology and good morals. In this case, madrasas as one of the Islamic educational institutions in order to meet these demands strive to make changes and developments continuously in order to produce quality graduates. This study is a literature review with a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that the educational system renewal model offered includes the contents of the curriculum and learning methods. The curriculum offered uses a combination model while still teaching Islamic lessons plus general subjects, such as reading and writing Latin letters, arithmetic, language, natural sciences, social sciences and several types of skills. While the method used applies modern learning methods to be more effective.

Abstract

Islamic education during the decline of the medieval period, which lasted from the 13th to the 18th centuries, was marked by intellectual stagnation, the weakening of centers of learning, and the dominance of conservative traditions in Islamic thought. Factors that caused this decline included foreign invasions, such as the Mongol invasion that destroyed Baghdad in 1258, the weakening of Islamic political power, and reliance on traditional teaching methods such as memorization without critical understanding. Nevertheless, Islamic education continued to play an important role in maintaining the tradition of learning and spirituality through institutions such as the madrasah. Madrasahs during this period focused more on the study of Islamic jurisprudence and religious sciences, so they paid less attention to rational sciences such as philosophy, astronomy, and medicine, which had previously flourished during the Golden Age of Islam.
