Abstract

The background of the study was that the number of elderly people in the world and Indonesia in particular had increased and was a burden if their health conditions were not given enough attention. One of the issues of concern is the educational evaluation of the use of elderly anthropometer chairs can increase the comfort feeling of the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the educational use of anthropometer elderly chairs can reduce musculoskeletal complaints and increase the feeling of comfort in the elderly. The study was conducted at the Posyandu of Tumbak Bayuh Mengwi Village, Badung Regency, Bali Province and in the Posyandu RW 12, Bedali Village, UPT, Lawang Public Health Center, Malang Regency because they have similar characteristics. The method used is experimental (quasi experiment) using the same design as the subject (treatment by subject design). The results of the study concluded that musculoskeletal complaints in the initial condition with analysis using the t-pair test, obtained insignificant results (p> 0.05), meaning that there was no difference between the initial conditions.  Analysis Test the difference in the final condition (post) obtained significant results (p * <0.05) meaning that there is a difference between the final condition and the t-pair test analysis on comfort shows a value of p <0.05, meaning that the elderly shows a sense of comfort using elderly anthropometer chair. Recommended for Puskesmas in posyandu to have anthropometer elderly chairs and educate their use in the elderly.

Abstract

Educational models to overcome stunting are needed because stunting has a negative impact on the health and function of the body as well as increasing child morbidity. The prevalence of stunting under five in Indonesia in 2019 was 27.67%, in Bali 21.9% and Karangasem 26.23% above WHO 20%. This data is the reason for conducting research in 2020. The aim is to find out whether the educational model of bio acupressure massage using virgin coconut oil can increase appetite, sleep quality and immune power so that stunting toddlers increase height. The research method is quasi-experimental; the research design is nonequivalent control group design. The sample is 50 people with purposive sampling technique. The analysis before and after treatment was carried out by paired sample t-test, the results were that all variables had significant differences (P value> 0.05). Variable differences between groups using t-two independent test with an alpha of 0.05 resulted in a significant difference in appetite (P value = 0.01) and a significant difference in height (p value = 0.020). There was no significant difference between sleep quality and endurance (P value > 0.05). It was concluded that there was a significant difference before and after education on stunting, while between the bio acupressure and conventional groups there was a significant difference in the variables of appetite and height. It is recommended that in overcoming stunting, bio acupressure massage education is the right education.

Abstract

Anemia and stunting are significant public health problems in Indonesia, especially among adolescents. The Yowana Bali Cadre Program (KAYOBI) aims to increase adolescents' knowledge and awareness about the prevention of anemia and stunting. This study uses a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected from 31 respondents, using purposive sampling techniques. Knowledge assessment was conducted through questionnaires, and data analysis was conducted by Chi-square test  to determine the relationship between  KAYOBI website access and respondents' knowledge level. The findings showed that 74,2% of the participants were women, and 64,5% of them accessed  the KAYOBI website. The results of the respondents' knowledge assessment before accessing the KAYOBI website showed that 23,1% of respondents had adequate knowledge about anemia and stunting. Chi-square analysis  showed a significant relationship between website access  and knowledge level, where individuals who did not access websites were 20 times more likely to engage in poor prevention practices.  KAYOBI's website is rated good in terms of usability, quality of information, and interaction. This research emphasizes the importance of continuing education initiatives and community involvement in combating anemia and stunting, as well as the need for more effective health promotion among adolescents. The KAYOBI program is effective in increasing adolescents' knowledge about anaemia and stunting prevention, and access to information through the website contributes to better prevention practices.

Chemotherapy can cause side effects, which can have an impact on the fulfillment of daily activities that cause the inability to perform self-care independently. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-confidence and independence in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Bali Mandara Hospital in 2024. The type of research used is correlational with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling  using purposive sampling technique as many as 79 people. Data collection instruments used a self-confidence questionnaire and a Barthel index questionnaire. The results of the study of self-confidence of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in the very confident category 55.7%, the independence of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in the moderate category 45.6%. The hypothesis test used is the spearman rank test with a p-value = 0.000 α (0.05), it can be concluded that there is a relationship between self-confidence and independence in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Abstract

The background for conducting bioacupressure training for health cadres is to accelerate the reduction of stunting rates in the Banjar 1 Buleleng health center area. Stunting is a condition of growth failure in children due to malnutrition and lack of quality, so that body length or height has a z-score value of less than -2SD. Stunted toddlers have a negative impact on health and functional bodies and increase child morbidity. The prevalence of stunting in Buleleng is still 20.5 percent and is above the WHO setting of 20 percent. Various efforts have been made, one of which is in the Banjar sub-district, a stunting consultation group has been formed and the implementation of programs for providing supplementary food, providing vitamins and cross-sectoral improvements to sanitation . Even so, in the Banjar 1 health center area, there are still 69 stunted toddlers. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of the cadres about bioacupressure massage for stunting toddlers. The training was conducted for 40 cadres representing 11 villages in the working area of the puskesmas. The results of the training before being given training showed sufficient knowledge, there were 5 people (7.5%) who had less knowledge, 32 people (80%) had sufficient knowledge, and 12.5% (3 people) had good knowledge. After the training was carried out there was an increase in knowledge with a significant difference with the t test analysis obtained. The conclusion of the results of this community service is that the level of knowledge of health cadres about Bioacupressure massage has increased and can become a companion and motivator so that mothers who have stunted toddlers do bioacupressure massage on their toddlers so that their appetite and height growth become more maximized
