Abstract

Production efficiency is a crucial factor in producing seeds. This paper aims to estimate the level of efficiency of rice seed production and determine the factors that influence it using a frontier stochastic production function approach. The rice varieties developed are Inpara3, Inpari Nutri Zink and Baroma. The research was conducted in Rawa Medang Village, Batang Asam District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province, in December 2021. Data collection was carried out through observation and in-depth interviews with seed breeders. By using the frontier production function, the conclusion is obtained: The efficiency level of rice farming for superior varieties is relatively good, with the efficiency level at level 6. All rice seed breeders show effective performance. To increase the efficiency of rice farming in the future, it is necessary to sharpen the use of production input inputs. The consideration is that the breeder's orientation is to produce quality seed for use by the farming community. Therefore, more intensive technological assistance is needed.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop a model for marketing staff performance by considering motivation as a mediating variable. The research methodology employed includes a survey conducted among 333 employees of PT Quadra Inti Solusi, with a sample size of 77 respondents. The findings reveal the following: 1) there is no significant impact of marketing staff loyalty on marketing staff performance; 2) social interaction positively influences marketing staff performance; 3) marketing staff loyalty does not significantly affect motivation; 4) work performance has a positive effect on motivation; 5) motivation significantly impacts marketing staff performance; 6) marketing staff loyalty does not influence marketing staff performance through motivation; and 7) work performance positively affects marketing staff performance through motivation.. Conclusion, to improve marketing staff performance, encouragement from leaders and colleagues is needed, and it is important to give awards for employee achievements.

Abstract

Pengkajian Proses Komunikasi Dalam Penerapan Teknologi PTT (Pengelolaan Tanaman Terpadu) Padi Di Tingkat masyarakat tani Di Kecamatan Sarolangun adalah sebagai berikut : Proses komunikasi yang terjadi dalam penerapan teknologi PTT terjadi dalam 3 aktifitas yang terjadi yaitu ceramah, diskusi, dan praktek. Dalam proses komunikasi tersebut terdapat 2 model komunikasi yaitu secara linear atau satu arah pada sesi ceramah dan praktek dan dua arah/multi arah pada sesi diskusi dan pertemuan dengan masyarakat tani. Sementara tingkat penerapan 10 komponen teknologi PTT masih rendah dengan persentase 45,6% untuk tanaman padi sawah dan 37,5% untuk tanaman padi ladang, komunikasi yang berlangsung dalam penerapan teknologi PTT tidak efektif. Proses komunikasi yang efektif dalam penerapan teknologi PTT padi ditingkat masyarakat tani, apabila teknologi disampaikan secara langsung dilapangan baik teori maupun demontrasi.

Abstract

Pada era globalisasi ini pelaksanaan pembangunan perkebnan harus memperhatikan kelestarian ekosistem dan memberdayakan masyarakat sekitar sehingga tidak akan mengakibatkan terjadinya degradasi lahan maupun permasalahan sosial yang lain. Karena pada dasarnya program pembangunan pertanian berkelanjutan (berwasan lingkungan) berawal dari permasalahan pokok tentang bagaimana mengelola sumberdaya lahan secara bijaksana sehingga bisa menopang kehidupan yang berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat dan generasi penerus. Kelembagaan petani perlu dikuatkan melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan petani serta memperbanyak petugas pendamping di lapangan. Kemitraan usaha antara industri/eksportir dengan petani/kelompok tani perlu ditumbuhkan dan ditingkatkan. Kemitraan usaha yang diharapkan adalah kemitraan yang profesional saling menguntungkan dan tidak terbatas dan hanya pemasaran hasil tetapi termasuk teknis budidaya dan peningkatan mutu. Meningkatkan kualitas ekspor kakao dari kakao biji menjadi kakao bubuk atau produk olahan.

Abstract

Assessment adaptation of several new superior rice varieties  on new rice fields affected by seawater intrusion was carried out in Tungkal Ilir Subdistrict, West Tanjung Jabung District, from April to October 2018. The study applied randomized block designs (RBD) with four replications. The treatments consisted of four new rice high yielding varities suitable for tidal/swamps areas namely Inpara 3, Inpara 8, Inpara 9, and Inpari 34 Salin Agritan, and one local rice variety (Londo) as control. Three stems seedlings per clump were planted at the age of 21-25 days, using a 4:1 Legowo planting system. Fertilizer application consisted of basic fertilizer (1.0 Mg ha-1 of lime, 2.5 Mg ha-1 of manure, and 75 kg ha-1 of urea) and supplementary fertilizer (SP-36 150 kg ha-1 and KCl 125 kg ha-1),. Urea supplementation is given based on observations with a leaf color chart (LCC). The results of the study showed that the four new rice HYVs were more adapted as compared to the local rice variety. The performance of the tested new rice HYVs showed quite a good growth appearance and productivity. The highest production was obtained in Inpari 34 Salin Agritan variety 2.85 Mg ha-1, while Inpara 3, Inpara 8, and Inpara 9 ranged between 2.0 and 2.1 Mg ha-1, while the local variety’s productivity was 1.9 Mg ha-1.
