Abstract

Abstract – This paper describes the concept of energy independent educational tourism on Ria Bomo beach, Banyuwangi. Educational tourism is implemented to help the community's economy after the COVID-19 pandemic. The decline in post-pandemic tourists from 35,035 to 689 visitors, so that it has an impact on MSME business actors and tourism managers. Therefore, the community service team proposed the use of natural resources by implementing PLTS and PLTB as an effort to encourage business actors. The application of PLTS and PLTB is conceptualized as an education for tourists visiting Ria Bomo beach. The results of applying the concept show that the increase in tourist visitors is 10% on Monday-Friday. While tourist visitors on Saturday-Sunday to 20%. This concept is applied for education and piloting at beach destinations throughout Banyuwangi Regency.

Abstract

Neuroanatomy is a challenging subject for medical students due to its complex spatial structures and the integration of multiple functional systems. Digital tools that support active learning, such as the H5P Interactive Book (H5P IB), have the potential to improve student engagement and information retention. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and student satisfaction of a neuroanatomy learning module developed using H5P Interactive Book (H5P IB), which features interactive drag-and-drop activities. The module focuses on the neuroanatomy of the central nervous system presented through interactive drag-and-drop quizzes of anatomical images. 160 pre-clinical medical students participated in the study. Learning outcomes were assessed using pre- and post-tests, while student satisfaction was measured using the validated Indonesian version of the Satisfaction Scale for e-Learning Process. Results showed a significant increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test scores (p < 0.01), indicating improved understanding. Student satisfaction was high across all domains, particularly in instructional content and usability. Qualitative feedback further revealed that the drag-and-drop activities helped enhance spatial understanding and overall learning engagement. These findings suggest that the H5P Interactive Book with drag-and-drop features can improve the quality of neuroanatomy learning in medical students.

Abstract

Adolescents are vulnerable to stress that can cause behavioral disorders, mental health problems, and self-harm. They undergo many changes physically, psychologically, and socially. The Community Partnership Development Team of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Universitas Warmadewa trained adolescent cadres at one of the high schools as part of student empowerment in improving mental health. The training began with material on mental health disorders and self-management, discussion, and a post-test. Thirty participants attended the activity, but only 22 people completed it. The participants comprised 14 women (63.6%) and eight men (36.4%). There were six people (27.3%) who had experienced mental health problems. The mean of the post-test questions was 85.45. This evaluation showed that the participants' understanding of the topic was quite good. The trained youth cadres are expected to help conduct early detection of mental disorders and provide simple counseling to other students. Cooperation between schools and students needs to continue to increase awareness of the importance of adolescent mental health.

Abstract

Banyuwangi Regency is one of the largest rice producers in Indonesia. This district at the eastern tip of Java is even nicknamed the national rice barn. Banyuwangi always has a surplus of 300,000 tons of rice every year. This increase in rice consumption will have an impact on high rice bran production. Considering the benefits and potential of rice bran as an industrial raw material, activities can later be developed to process rice bran into industrial raw materials with higher economic value. A processed product derived from rice bran that has the potential to be developed is rice bran oil. This research aims to determine the proximate content of rice bran oil. Through the process of analyzing the characteristics of rice bran oil (moisture content, protein content, fat content, salt content, pH content and ash content) to determine the content of rice bran oil and palm oil as a comparison with proximate tests through a Completely Randomized Design with testing of rice bran oil and palm oil through 3 repetitions in testing. Further testing used the Duncan test with observation parameters in the proximate test. The research results showed that the best results for water content, protein content, fat content, salt content, pH content and ash content were refined rice bran oil compared to palm oil. This is a reference that rice bran oil is still better than palm oil in general. This research will later be able to increase the income of rice farmers. Apart from producing rice, they can also make rice bran oil.

Abstract

Indonesia is the fourth coffee producer in the world after Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia. However, in the 2018-2021 period, the value of Indonesian coffee exports experienced a decline, which was in line with the low volume of Indonesian coffee exports in that year compared to the previous period, so that Indonesia's position fell from fourth to fifth as a coffee exporting country in the world. These various things could be due to the lack of downstream processing in coffee processing in Indonesia. The current problem is that there is no tool for the process of separating coffee into clear coffee, this tool is available abroad and the price is quite expensive. This research tries to make a clear coffee streamer and analyzes the production results of a clear coffee streamer. The results of the design of a clear coffee streamer tool using stainless steel material can be used with a capacity of 20 liters and a maximum heating temperature of 100oC, while testing the production capacity of the clear coffee streamer tool produces data using a material volume of 1500 ml resulting in a production volume of 850 ml in a time of 75 minutes. Meanwhile, using a volume of 200 ml of material produces 950 ml with a time of 75 minutes.
