Abstract

This research discusses the use of nonverbal communication by Bank Central Asia (BCA) frontliners in Batam.The research results show that frontliners tend to use various forms of nonverbal communication, such as eyecontact, smiling, open body language, polite hand gestures, and an upright and confident body posture. Afriendly, calm and professional tone of voice is also considered important. The physical distance betweenfrontliners and customers is adjusted to cultural norms and personal preferences. BCA frontliners receivespecial training in nonverbal communication to improve their skills in interacting with customers. They realizethat their nonverbal communication can influence a company's image and appreciate the importance of makinga positive impression. Positive communication can create a pleasant experience, increase trust, and give theimpression that customers are valued. Frontliners who are skilled at nonverbal communication can influencecustomers' purchasing decisions and build strong emotional connections. Therefore, investment in developingthe nonverbal communication skills of frontliners at Bank Central Asia in Batam is considered to providebenefits for the company's long-term success

Abstract

In this research, the data collection method was carried out through three main techniques, namely observation, literature study, and documentation regarding news related to News Construction of the Democratic Party's Response to the Anies – Muhaimin Duet in the 2024 Presidential Election on the tvonenews.com and cnnindonesia.com sites. Research It adopts a qualitative research method, which is in accordance with Bogdan and Taylor's definition explained by Moleong. From the results of the framing analysis, it can be seen that tvonenews.com's news construction regarding the Democratic Party's response to the Anies-Muhaimin duet in the 2024 presidential election tends to be objective. This is demonstrated by the four framing analysis structures created by Zhongdang Pan and Kosicki, which show balance in the presentation of news data. Meanwhile, the media cnnindonesia.com is less objective, because cnnindonesia.com speaks more from the perspective of the Chairman of the Democratic Party Assembly, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. According to tvonenews.com and cnnindonesia.com, this media reality construction depicts that the Democratic Party is disappointed because Anies Baswedan left AHY, who had previously been approved to be the presidential and vice presidential candidate

Abstract

In this modern age of globalization, there are many alternatives or media for us and the international community to convey messages and communications, such as telephones, letter messages, and others. The development of the internet, we can access whatever we want in cyberspace, for example is movies. Film is one of the information media that contains fictional or non-fictional stories that are long and entertainment or entertaining. Movies began to flourish in the 20th century and experienced their peak in 2010 and above. Film is not only intended for commercial or entertainment purposes, but the film has the purpose of conveying an important implied message that can only be understood by people who observe it deeply and carefully. In the world of cinema it is called Easter Egg. In the world of Communication Science studies, Easter Egg is called Semiotics, which is the study of signs. Semiotics is a science that studies signs in the world of communication, one of which is used to observe the implied message contained in the film. Abstract

Local television is television whose broadcast station has the smallest coverage area, covering a particular city or district. According to broadcasting law, local broadcasting stations can be established in certain locations in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, with broadcast coverage limited to those locations. Detak Kepri afternoon is a news program or news segment that presents the latest information about the latest events in the Riau Islands region and its surroundings. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. The purpose of this research is to find out what kind of communication strategies are used by Batam Television to attract audience interest in the Detik Kepri Noon news program, the strategy for making the Dek Kepri Noon news program and the supporting and inhibiting faktors. The research results concluded that the strategy used by Batam Television to attract audience interest in the Kepri Noon news program was to utilize the JPM Stream application as an online-based digital application to make it easier for viewers to access news programs, both live and delayed broadcasts.

Abstract

In the current digital era, of course we can never be separated from life related to the digital world where this has become part of our social life. Social media of course plays a big role in providing benefits, because the function of social media is not only limited to making friends or meeting other people, but can also be used for many things, one of which is trading or selling. Marketing strategy is the marketing stage of a product or service where a member or organization carries out the planning stage regarding exchanges so that they can find out the right target population and can achieve their own goals, one of which is profit. Brand Awereness is a marketing technique used by business people to win market competition and make their company known to the public. In this descriptive analysis, the data that has been collected will be described and depicted descriptively. In creating product promotion methods, we have unconsciously produced 4 types of methods, namely Advertising, Events & Experience, Direct Marketing and Interactive Marketing.

Abstract

One social media platform that is currently quite familiar to Indonesian society is TikTok. TikTok is a social networking platform used to create content in the form of short videos. Someone may become famous on TikTok because of their interesting content; these people are called "tiktokers". One of the most interesting Tiktokers is Rexi. His content has a unique characteristic because he makes motorbike modification videos that his followers are interested in. The research methodology used is a quantitative method that is associative in nature. The sampling technique used in this research is random sampling; The sample consisted of 100 respondents. Research data comes from the results of questionnaires. The data in this study was cleaned using IBM SPSS 25 software. The results of the analysis of Rexi's TikTok account had a positive and significant effect on followers' desire to modify motorbikes. because the value of the influence of the content is significant, 0.000 < 0.05 and the t-calculated value of 15.616 is greater than the t-table value of 1.984, so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted

Abstract

In the current digital era, marketing strategies via social media are very important to reach consumers. The Instagram account @pstore_batam uses repost content, namely resharing content from other users, as part of their marketing strategy. This research aims to analyze marketing communication strategies on the Instagram account @pstore_batam using Kotler & Keller's IMC theory. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection methods used are observation, documentation and literature study. This research shows that the communication strategy used by Instagram @pstore_batam is interactive marketing, through the repost content produced, the audience has an interest in just seeing @pstore_batam posts. The results of research in the comments column of repost content posts show that there is consumer interaction related to their products, this proves that the repost content strategy is effective in attracting consumer buying interest.

Abstract

Intercultural interaction between the Malay and Batak communities in Batuaji Sub-district runs harmoniously despite cultural differences. Challenges such as differences in language and customs still exist, but efforts to improve intercultural communication continue. The purpose of this study was to determine the intercultural interaction of the Malay tribe and the Batak tribe in Batuaji sub-district. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on the intercultural interactions of the two tribes. The results showed that in Batu Aji sub-district, there is a domination by the Batak community both in terms of population, habits, and culture compared to the Malay tribe. Batak people tend to actively participate in activities, like to gather with extended family, and have a very firm mindset and attitude. In contrast, from the perspective of the Batak people, they see that the Malays rarely contribute to neighborhood activities, speak with a fast tone and unclear intonation, making it difficult to understand. Despite these differences, individuals from these two tribes can still establish a good relationship in social life. It can be seen that the dominance of Batak culture affects the mixed family life between Batak and Malay tribes. The use of Batak language in conversation, especially when angry or upset, as well as the assertive attitude and result-focused way of thinking, creates a certain dynamic in the family.
