Abstract

This paper aims to analyze Inequality Using J-Bonet Index Distribution based on regions dimension and its determinant factors. This study uses a quantitative research approach with Quantile Regression (QR) analysis. The results showed that overall, there was no noticeable difference in income inequality among regions. However, according to the status of regions and regions, the expansion area in eastern Indonesia is twice as high as regional income inequality in the parent area in the same region. Other findings, economic growth and poverty cause high-income inequality in eastern Indonesia, while in the western region of Indonesia has no significant effect. In western Indonesia, fiscal decentralization is the cause of high-income inequality between regions, while in eastern Indonesia has no significant effect. Human development has no real impact on income inequality. It is a preliminary study of inequality using J-Bonet and its determinants in Indonesia based on regions dimension with Quantile Regression (QR) as an analysis tool. It can add empirical evidence about the inequality and region dimension.

Abstract

As a developing country, in 2022 Indonesia is the 4th largest population in the world and predicted to experience a demographic bonus in 2020-2035. However, along with the increase in the population and workforce in Indonesia, it turns out that the productivity of the workforce in Indonesia is still low. This study aims to analyze and examine the effect human capital spillovers proxied by higher educated labor and lifetime in-migration on labor productivity in Indonesia along with other production factor variables. This study used panel data collected from 28 provinces in Indonesia in period of 2010 to 2019. Based on the results, the higher the level of education, the higher the productivity and the presence of higher educated labor can provide knowledge spillover for the environment. Meanwhile, human capital spillover from indicators in-migration has no impact on productivity. These results indicate that knowledge spillover support by quality of human capital, but the movement of labor has not provided positive externalities for the surrounding environment.JEL Classification  E24; J24; O47

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact that monetary variables have on the expansion of the Indonesian economy. Inflation, money supply, and exchange rates are all examples of monetary variables that are examined in this study. This study makes use of time series data spanning from 1990 all the way up to 2020. The Autoregressive Distributed Lag approach (ARDL method) is the one that is utilized for the analysis. According to the findings of the research, the independent variables and the dependent variables exert an influence on each other over both the short and the long terms. While the variable of inflation has no influence on economic growth over the long run, the variables of exchange rate and money supply have a major negative effect on economic growth. Inflation does not affect economic growth. On the other hand, in the short term, the variable that is the money supply has a big and negative impact on the expansion of the economy.

Abstract

Recently, MSMEs have still experienced problems in accessing capital. This is mainly due to the lack of adequately recorded, structured, standardized financial reports. MSMEs still use simple records that do not refer to SAK ETAP. With the principle of convenience and expecting that MSMEs will be able to gain more comprehensive access to capital, SAK EMKM exists as a simpler financial reporting standard compared to the complicated SAK ETAP. Unfortunately, since it was established in 2018, MSMEs still rarely use financial reports based on SAK EMKM. Therefore, to socialize the use of SAK EMKM to MSMEs, it is necessary to provide inclusive assistance. With focussing in Sukosari Village, Magelang Regency, where the majority of the village population are running MSMEs, community service activities were carried out in the form of assistance to provide socialization and assistance regarding bookkeeping and prepare financial reports based on SAK EMKM. The evaluation results showed an increase in understanding of MSME actors in Sukosari Village regarding SAK EMKM by 65.45 percent, from recording manual financial reports to recording using simple SAK EMKM standards. The obstacles faced in implementing activities are a lack of understanding from business actors or managers regarding the correct flow of financial recording and the importance of financial reports.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of internet usage types on the welfare of farmer households, focusing specifically on the distinction between internet use for trade and non-trade activities. Using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis on data from the 2020 SUSENAS (National Socioeconomic Survey) household survey, the study examines farmer households where the head of the household has internet access. The analysis explores how different uses of the internet correlate with household well-being and economic outcomes. The findings indicate that farmer households with internet access exhibit significantly higher welfare levels compared to those without internet. Notably, farmer households using the internet for commercial purposes—such as selling and purchasing goods or services—enjoy a marked improvement in welfare compared to those who only use the internet for non-trade activities. Households that access the internet solely for activities like reading news, social media browsing, or exchanging emails tend to experience lower welfare levels relative to those engaging in trade-related online activities. This study highlights the importance of promoting digital trade literacy and enabling rural internet infrastructure to maximize the potential benefits of internet access in farming communities. By understanding how internet access types impact farmer welfare, policymakers can better support the digital transformation of rural areas, aiming to improve socioeconomic conditions through targeted interventions. This research underscores the transformative potential of internet access when harnessed for trade purposes, offering valuable insights for rural development strategies.
