Abstract

This study aims to obtain students’ beliefs, perspectives, and challenges in learning English through virtual learning after a year of pandemic in the Faculty of Economics and Business. The researchers examined the students’ perspectives and challenges of using WhatsApp group, Zoom, and Google Classroom based on their point of view. Also, in this study the students have given a chance to explore their opinion and some suggestions of the English learning process through the media stated. The researchers employed both qualitative and quantitative methods. They have distributed a questionnaire to collect the data. Fifty students were asked to fill a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire and answer one open-ended question. The researchers used Google Forms to facilitate the distribution and collection of data process. The findings stated half of the respondents, instead of joining the English class through media stated, they preferred joining the subject in the classroom. The other half surprisingly preferred learning English virtually. Both have their arguments supporting their perspectives.

Abstract

Kasus Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) di Desa Kaliwadas tergolong tinggi. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkannya antara lain perkembangbiakan nyamuk Aedes aegypti, iklim, kepadatan penduduk, pengetahuan tentang cara pencegahan penyakit, dan perilaku sosial. Penggunaan obat nyamuk kimia dapat menimbulkan masalah kesehatan dan lingkungan. Tanaman serai wangi (Cymbopogon nardus L.) dapat diekstrak sebagai bahan anti nyamuk ramah lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilaksanakan program pemberdayaan dan pemanfaatan tanaman pengusir nyamuk di Desa Kaliwadas untuk meningkatkan kesehatan dan perekonomian masyarakat melalui kegiatan penyuluhan, pelatihan budidaya serai wangi, pembuatan produk, dan pemasaran. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan tentang demam berdarah, pengobatan, pencegahan penyakit, dan pemanfaatan serai wangi. Masyarakat juga mampu membudidayakan tanaman serai wangi dan membuat produk biolarvasida serta semprotan pengusir nyamuk dari tanaman tersebut.

Abstract

Stunting adalah keadaan gagal tumbuh pada anak akibat kekurangan gizi membuat tinggi badan anak terlalu pendek untuk usianya. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya stunting diantaranya adalah kemampuan keluarga memenuhi kebutuhan makan anak dengan baik dengan memperhatikan perkembangan anak dan stimulasi yang memadai. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membekali keluarga dengan anak stunting mampu melakukan pengasuhan dan perawatan anak dengan lebih baik sehingga harapannya anaknya akan tumbuh dan berkembang dengan normal kembali. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di kampus Universitas Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan diikuti oleh 29 keluarga dengan anak stunting. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi berupa penjelasan tentang tehnik stimulasi pada anak sesuai usianya dan juga latihan pijat bayi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan rerata pengetahuan keluarga stunting meningkat 9,1 poin dari 55,8 ke 65,0. Tenaga kesehatan perlu melakukan edukasi terkait penilaian masa tumbuh kembang anak agar orang tua dapat melakukan stimulasi tumbuh kembang sesuai usia.

Abstract

This community service aimed to introduce alternative uses of technology to support English learning and raise awareness of bullying at SMP Muhammadiyah Pekajangan through two main programs: the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered learning applications and an anti-bullying campaign. AI applications such as Busuu, Mondly, Cake, ELSA Speak, and Loora were introduced as flexible, engaging, and affordable self-learning tools. Additionally, the anti-bullying campaign provided students with an understanding of the forms of bullying, its impacts, and ways to address it. The results showed positive responses from students toward both programs. It is recommended that the school supports the continued use of AI applications and regularly organizes similar activities to create a safer, more inclusive learning environment that fosters student development.

Abstract

Implementing activities or programs in public sector organizations is required to pay attention to the concept of effectiveness and efficiency. The BAPPEDA of Temanggung Regency as one of the public sector units also applies this principle in implementing activities in its environment. Of the units under the Temanggung Regency government, the Temanggung Regency BAPPEDA has the highest budget compared to other OPDs. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing the BAPPEDA budget of the Temanggung Regency. Using the descriptive analysis method, the results of the analysis can be seen that the level of effectiveness and efficiency in the period 2014 -2020 shows varying values. The highest level of effectiveness occurred in 2015 and the lowest occurred in 2016. Implementing expenditure planning for 2014-2020 can be categorized as effective because the programs implemented have been realized. Implementing the 2014-2020 budget, in terms of efficiency, is classified as very efficient. From these results, it can be concluded that the Temanggung Regency BAPPEDA is considered to have carried out budget management very well where the budget management at the Temanggung Regency BAPPEDA is under the concept of effectiveness and efficiency.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations at Vocational High School Pasundan 1 of Serang City (SMK 1 Pasundan Serang City), some of them do not meet the requirements for mastery learning outcomes, students find it difficult to digest animation lessons, and the teacher's limited ability to make media. Anticipating these obstacles requires an interesting new learning media that can generate students' imagination and creativity, one of which is learning media based on smart app creators. This study aims to find out how the process of developing learning media for Smart Apps Creator, to find out from the development of learning media in 2D Animation subjects that will be used in the learning process and to find out interactive learning media based on Smart Apps Creator in 2D Animation subjects at SMK 1 Pasundan which will be used for the teaching and learning process. This method used Research and Development (R&D). Research through the use of identification of potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, revision, product testing, revision, trial, revision and mass production to produce a final product. The trial was conducted on 24 students of class XI SMK Pasundan 1 Serang City. The assessment of the 4 validators of the Interactive Learning Media, which is 90%, shows that the Interactive Learning Media is very valid to be used as a learning resource. The results of the assessment of 24 students that Interactive Learning Media has a practicality value of 89.30%, it can be said that the level of practicality of Interactive Learning Media is very practical and very well stated.
