Abstract

Improving your health status can be done by getting used to living a clean and healthy lifestyle. The Clean and Healthy Living Behaviour (CHLB) must be promoted in school health programs related to personal hygiene and environmental sanitation to prevent disease in the school environment. Getting students used to practicing PHBS at school can be used as a foundation for health behaviour. This community service activity was carried out at SD Glagahwero 2 Jember which was attended by all students from class 1 to class 6. Education was carried out through counselling by providing explanations about how PHBS should be applied in daily life both at home, school and other public places. As well as explaining the benefits of implementing CHLB which are applied in everyday life. After counselling on the snakes and ladders educational game, students are trained to be able to answer or make decisions according to the problems/questions given in the game. The increase in knowledge that students receive about CHLB can be seen from the students' ability to answer questions correctly, this will support students' clean and healthy living habits so that they can improve the level of health in society.

Women's reproductive organs that are not ready to accept pregnancy make early marriage disrupt the reproductive health system so that it can cause various complications, especially in women. This research aims to analyze the readiness for behavioural changes in preventing child marriage based on individual characteristics and adolescent antecedents. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research with a Cross-sectional study approach. This study involved 160 teenagers aged <19 years. Individual characteristic variables, namely gender, are related to readiness for behavioural changes in preventing child marriage. Antecedent variables, namely Reproductive Health Knowledge, Parental Support and Motivation, are related to preparedness for behavioural changes in preventing child marriage. The readiness of teenagers to be able to make behavioural changes in preventing child marriage is related to individual characteristics and adolescent antecedents.

Abstract

Infectious disorders known as sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are spread through sexual contact. Female sex workers (FSWs) are particularly vulnerable to STIs. As of right now, FSWs' STI prevention practices are still insufficient. This is brought on by ignorance of STIs and failure to use condoms during sexual activity. This study's goal is to use the ADDIE Model to create a board game that educates female sex workers about sexually transmitted infections; Methods:  This research employed a research and development (R&D) approach utilizing the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In the analysis stage, needs assessment was conducted to determine gaps in existing STI health promotion efforts. In the design stage, a board game concept was created tailored to FSW characteristics. During development, the board game was produced and subjected to feasibility testing for both media and content. The implementation stage involved a media trial with selected participants, and the evaluation stage focused on assessing the practicality and effectiveness of the game; Results: The analysis showed that FSWs had limited knowledge of STIs, and existing health promotion methods were not sufficiently interactive or engaging. The developed board game achieved a media feasibility score of 92% and a content feasibility score of 85%, indicating high practicality without the need for major revisions. During the implementation phase, 15 FSWs participated in a trial, with 93% reporting the game was practical and engaging; Conclusions: The conclusion of this study is that using board games as a health promotion medium is very feasible for FSW to increase their knowledge about STIs because they are more interactive, enjoyable, new, and the information is relevant to what FSWs need to know.

Abstract

Drug abuse remains a serious public health issue, particularly in the rehabilitation process which demands high commitment from residents. This community service aimed to enhance the motivation and engagement of residents at the Banyuwangi Rehabilitation and Prevention Center (LRPPN) through an edutainment-based approach. Activities included educational games, arts, music, and the signing of an Integrity Pact. This method was tailored to the characteristics of residents who often exhibit low motivation, poor self-esteem, and limited social communication skills. The results indicated that edutainment was effective in creating a positive atmosphere, encouraging active participation, and fostering personal reflection and commitment to a drug-free life. Furthermore, this activity served as a valuable experiential learning opportunity for health promotion students to apply their skills directly in the field. This program is recommended as an alternative, humanistic, and participatory strategy to support successful rehabilitation outcomes.

Abstract

Improving the quality of HIV testing services in public health centers must be supported by the knowledge of HIV that health worker professionals must have. In PITC services, the ability of health professionals to build relationships is crucial to establishing trust and good communication with patients. Providing information about HIV will help patients make decisions about their health status. However, the PITC services provided by health workers are less than satisfactory. Aims: This study aims to analyze the factors associated with the PITC skills of health professionals at Indonesian public health centers in urban and rural areas. Methods:  Observational design with a cross-sectional approach was used in this research. The sample in this study involved 120 health worker professionals, including nurses, doctors, and midwives, who implemented HIV testing, who were selected using simple random sampling based on the location of their health center. The data were analyzed using multigroup analysis in SmartPLS 3 Result: The knowledge of HIV positively influenced the capability of health professionals to assess HIV risk factors and PITC skills (p = 0.011). The capability of health professionals to determine HIV risk factors also positively influenced PITC skills(p = 0.000). In addition, the ability of health professionals to build relationships with patients positively influenced PITC skills(p = 0.000). Conclusion:  Different variables affect health professionals' PITC skills compared to rural and urban health professionals. Learning a language that the patient understands is highly recommended in providing good service during a HIV test.

Abstract

Background: Provider Initiated HIV Testing and Counseling (PITC) is a service offering HIV testing by health workers to all patients in health facilities1. The quality of PITC services that do not meet standards is still a problem, thus becoming an obstacle to PITC services. This causes PITC user satisfaction to be low. The aim of this research is to determine efforts to optimize health workers in the implementation of provider-initiated HIV testing and counseling (PITC). This systematic research was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method to assess, review and synthesize research. Search through the database by entering the keywords "HIV", "HIV test", "Provider initiated HIV testing and counseling" "PITC", on PubMed, Science Direct, ProQuest. 9 research journals were selected after going through specified stages. Barriers for health workers are high workload, lack of human resources and not all health workers are trained in PITC. Optimizing PITC services in health care settings cannot stand alone, health services that are integrated with other health services require the ability of health workers to be able to offer HIV tests to patients. Optimizing human resources in the health sector can be done by increasing the ability of health workers to carry out PITC through good education and training. The complete implementation of PITC starting from the pretest and posttest will emphasize changes in patient behavior to improve their health status.
