Abstract

Anemia is a medical condition in which the hemoglobin level less than normal. Normal Hb levels in adolescent girls are >12 g/dl. Anemia in adolescent girls is still relatively high. Impact of anemia can be caused the body to become thin and drastically lose weight, shortness, constant illness, and anemia. This literature review identified factors that are consistently associated with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls. This research method is a literature review by collecting various databases from Pubmed, Science Direct, Proquest, and Google Scholar. The selection of articles were limited from 2014-2019 and 20 articles were found. Factors that are consistently associated with the incidence of anemia in adolescents girls include the level of knowledge of girl adolescents regarding anemia, iron intake, nutritional status and the duration of menstruation, BMI, category of residence (rural/urban), dietary habits, and infections such as malaria. It is necessary to provide continuous blood supplement tablets to young women from the government and schools so that they can meet their nutritional needs and further research is expected to be able to use different research designs such as case control and cohorts in order to prove a stronger causal relationship, this is because there have been quite a number of studies related to risk factors for the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls.

Abstract

Labor pain is one of the most severe and can make it uncomfortable. If the problems of pain haven’t been resolved, it caused several symptoms such as anxiety, fear, and stress which can increase the intensity of the pain. This literature review aims to identify complementary therapies to reduce labor pain in various countries. The author searched articles in databases Google Scholar, Science Direct, Pubmed, and Cochrane. The criteria for articles in the form was quantitative research published in 2014-2019 with locations in various countries. The author reviews 6 articles on therapy complementary to reduce labor pain in various countries such as Turkey, Iran, Egypt, Brazil, and Indonesia. The author identified 7 complementary therapies used to reduce labor pain. This research used RCT (Randomized Controlled Trial) and quasi-experiment methods with VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) instruments. The methods such as breathing using lavender aromatherapy, music therapy, birth ball, heat therapy, cold therapy, acupressure, and hypnobirthing can be used. This therapeutic method is highly recommended to reduce pain and reduce anxiety during labor. In addition, this method has very few side effects and saves costs.

Abstract

Prevalensi Infeksi Menular Seksual (IMS) di Indonesia masih mengalami tren kenaikan kasus dan dapat ditularkan dari individu ke individu lain yang sering bergonta-ganti pasangan seksual. Anggota TNI muda (terutama usia 20-30 tahun) merupakan aparatur negara yang sering jauh bertugas dari keluarga, menjadi salah satu penyumbang dalam meningkatkan prevalensi IMS. Hal tersebut dikarenakan aktifitas dan hasrat seksualnya mengalami naik turun pada usia tersebut. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap anggota TNI Muda dalam memahami terkait pentingnya kesehatan reproduksi dan bahaya IMS di Brigif Raider 9 Kostrad Jember. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah melakukan prestest, melakukan penyuluhan, melakukan posttest dan melakukan ice breaking. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah hasil terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara rata-rata pengetahuan dan sikap sebelum dan sesudah edukasi (p=0,000). Dimana rata-rata nilai pengetahuan prettest yaitu 7,33 dan meningkat menjadi 8,40 pada posttest. Sedangkan rata-rata nilai sikap pretest yaitu 31,07 dan meningkat menjadi 36,20 pada postest. Oleh karena itu, instansi TNI dapat melakukan tindak lanjut berupa skrining yang berkelanjutan untuk mendeteksi IMS secara dini khususnya kepada anggota TNI.

Abstract

Makanan sumber karbohidrat yang akhir-akhir ini cukup populer di kalangan semua kelompok umur di Indonesia adalah mie. Mie dari tepung kentang sudah banyak dibuat, dan untuk memberikan manfaat lebih maka perlu ditambahkan bahan seperti bubuk daun kersen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan karakterisasi fisik mie basah bebas gluten berbahan dasar tepung kentang dan tapioka dengan penambahan antioksidan dari bubuk daun kersen. Tepung kentang dan bubuk daun kersen merupakan bahan utama yang juga diperoleh dari Kabupaten Jember. Mie Basah Bebas Gluten diuji fisiknya dengan menentukan parameter fisik meliputi daya serap air, indeks regangan dan indeks warna menggunakan metode statistik uji ANOVA. Langkah selanjutnya bila hasilnya berbeda antar perlakuan maka dianalisis dengan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) dengan tingkat kepercayaan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan daya serap air berkisar antara 70 – 190%, dimana daya serap air tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan T1K3. Indeks regangan mie basah tidak mempunyai perbedaan nyata, namun perlakuan T1K3 mempunyai indeks regangan terbaik sebesar 0,17. Hasil indeks warna yang terdiri dari L berkisar antara 42,30 – 46,90; a berkisar antara 2,05 – 4,75; b berkisar antara 11,5 -14,50.

Abstract

Abstrak Retribusi daerah merupakan salah satu penyumbang Penerimaan Asli Daerah (PAD) yang cukup besar dalam rangka mengoptimalkan penerimaan PAD di bidang kesehatan diperlukan suatu inovasi dalam pelayanan kesehatan. Mengingat pendapatan daerah bersumber dari retribusi pelayanan kesehatan puskesmas, maka dibutuhkan suatu sistem akuntansi yang dapat membantu pemerintah daerah dalam mengelola sumber data keuangan. Teknologi aplikasi digunakan untuk memperbaiki tata kelola pencatatan dan pembagian retribusi pelayanan kesehatan pada aspek keuangan. Aplikasi ini akan dibuat dengan menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Aplikasi ini akan mempermudah kepala puskesmas untuk melakukan kontrol dan tata kelola keuangan secara lebih sistematis terkait dengan pencatatan dan pembagian retribusi pelayanan kesehatan. Tujuannya adalah untuk menciptakan efisiensi dalam pembagian retribusi ke dalam pos sarana dan pelayanan. Kata Kunci: Aplikasi Microsoft Excel, Retribusi Pelayanan Kesehatan, Puskesmas Abstract Regional levies are a fairly large contributor to Regional Original Revenue (PAD). In order to optimize PAD revenue in the health sector, innovation is needed in health services. Considering that regional income comes from levies on community health services, an accounting system is needed that can assist regional governments in managing financial data sources. Application technology is used to improve the management of recording and distributing health service fees in financial aspects. This application will be created using Microsoft Excel. This application will make it easier for community health center heads to carry out more systematic financial control and management related to recording and distributing health service fees. Abstract

Permasalahan stunting masih menjadi fokus utama di Indonesia. Salah satu faktor penyebab terjadinya stunting adalah anemia. Anemia merupakan suatu kondisi dimana jumlah sel darah merah lebih rendah dari jumlah normal. Berdasarkan data Riskesdas tahun 2018 prevalensi anemia pada anak perempuan yang berusia remaja sebesar 32% yang artinya jika ada 10 remaja akan ada 3-4 yang beresiko menderita anemia. Timbulnya masalah gizi pada anak usia di bawah dua tahun erat kaitannya dengan persiapan kesehatan dan gizi seorang perempuan untuk menjadi calon ibu, termasuk remaja putri. Remaja putri dengan anemia beresiko menjadi wanita usia subur dengan anemia. Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) yang anemia beresiko mengalami gangguan komplikasi saat kehamilan berupa gangguan pertumbuhan janin, fetal distress serta dapat meningkatkan resiko terjadinya stunting pada anak yang dilahirkan kelak. Oleh karena itu, pemberian edukasi mengenai anemia dan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan diperlukan untuk mencegah terjadinya anemia serta membantu mengurangi angka kejadian stunting lebih dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat yaitu perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan yang terdiri dari perkenalan, penyuluhan dengan memberikan edukasi, pemberian Tablet Tambah Darah (TTD) dan penilaian dengan memberikan kuesioner pretest dan posttest. Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap pada remaja dan WUS.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the ratio of potato flour and tapioca flour and addition of kersen leaves powder on gluten-free wet noodles with a focus on proximate levels (water, ash, protein, fat, and carbohydrate content by different) and antioxidant activity (DPPH method). The research design used was a RAK with two factors. The first factor was the ratio of potato flour and tapioca flour and the secondly was the variation of kersen leaves concentration, which consist of 3 treatment levels respectively, so it’s obtained 9 samples with 2 replications. The data were processed using the ANOVA test and if there was a significant difference, then continue with the DMRT test (significance level 5%). The results showed that the effect of the ratio of potato flour and tapioca flour had an effect on increasing water content, protein content and reducing on carbohydrate content while ash content and fat content did not have a significant effect. Non-gluten wet noodles had antioxidant activity of around 36.2-52.5%. The increased of the concentration of kersen leaves powder so the antioxidant activity as well as increased. Further research is still needed to examine the potential of our functional food products such as antidiabetic and antihypercholesterol using in vivo studies. Also, the isolation of bioactive components of kersen leaves using nanotechnology to make them easier to be absorbed by the body.

Abstract

Noodles are one of the foods which Indonesian people like. Noodles are generally made from wheat flour which has high gluten content. However, excessive gluten consumption can give an adverse impact on body health, especially for people with celiac disease and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). One gluten-free product is dry noodles with added cherry leaf powder, which has low glucose levels. This research aims to determine the chemical characteristics of dry gluten-free noodles with the addition of cherry leaf powder. This research method uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors studied. The first factor is temperature (S1 : 60° C); (S2 : 70° C); and (S3 : 80° C). The second factor is duration (W1: 90 minutes) and (W2: 120 minutes). Data were analyzed using the Analysis of Variant (ANOVA) statistical test. If there are differences, further analysis was carried out using Duncan's Multiple Range Test 5% statistical test. The result showed that the lowest water content was 9.47% (S3W2), the highest ash content was 2.62% (S3W1), the lowest fat content was 2.17% (S1W1), the lowest protein content was 7.44% (S1W1) and the highest carbohydrate content was 77.70% (S3W2).

Abstract

Clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in the work environment is an important aspect which contributes to employees welfare and organizational productivity. However, the implementation of PHBS often faces challenges such as a lack of understanding and awareness of the importance of PHBS in the workplace. This research aims to develop and implement HEMA-MAGZ (Healthy Motion Magazine) as an effective communication, information, and educational media in supporting the implementation of PHBS in the work environment of Tefa House in Health Promotion Major, Jember State Polytechnic. This research method uses the R&D (Research and Development) model to design IEC PHBS media in the Hema-Magz work environment using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). HEMA-MAGZ is designed as an interactive magazine which contains educational content regarding 10 PHBS indicators, namely (Using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), regular exercise, not smoking, washing hands with soap in daily activity, tips for defecating and urinating in the bathroom, exterminate mosquito larvae, throwing away rubbish on the right trash bin, avoiding drugs, consuming clean and healthy food and drinks, and not spitting anywhere. The research results show that HEMA-MAGZ has succeeded increasing employees awareness and understanding of PHBS, which is reflected increasing healthy living behavior in the work environment. Furthermore, this magazine also received positive responses from employees who felt the contents are attractive and easy to understand. This research concludes if HEMA-MAGZ is an effective media in conveying information and education.

Abstract

Iron Nutrition Anemia is a condition of blood hemoglobin deficiency that can reduce productivity and affect the cognitive development of adolescents. Adolescent girls are susceptible to anemia due to several causal factors. There is an increased need for iron during puberty. Another factor that causes anemia is low consumption of Fe and other nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, folic acid, riboflavin, and B12.  This community service activity aims to increase adolescents' knowledge about AGB through educational programs at SMPN 1 Yosowilangun, Lumajang Regency. The activity was carried out in August 2024 and involved 30 teenagers in the 3rd grade of junior high school. The methods used included discourse and discussions supported by presentation media, leaflets, and the Freemia website. Through this activity, we hope to enhance teenagers' understanding of anemia risks, the significance of iron intake, and the importance of adopting a healthy diet to prevent anemia. Health education in schools is expected to be a strategic step in reducing the incidence of anemia in adolescents in Indonesia.
