Abstract

Tatanan kehidupan dimasyarakat mengalami perubahan yang pesat secara signifikan pada era globalisasi seperti saat sekarang ini. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari bidang Pendidikan yang sudah mampu memanfaatkan perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) yang begitu pesat kemajuannya, khususnya pada bidang ilmu Matematika. Sebagai salah satu contoh, saat ini proses perancangan media pembelajaran sudah memanfaatkan platform digital dengan munculnya banyak aplikasi berbasis online. Namun sangat disayangkan, masih ditemukan penggunaan bahan ajar oleh dosen yang tidak menarik, dimana dari pengamatan dan survei yang dilakukan di lokasi pengambilan sampel, ditemukan dosen yang belum bisa memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi yang secara langsung juga mengakibatkan banyak peserta didik, yakni mahasiswa yang merasa bosan dan kurang termotivasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk mendapatkan informasi dan hasil yang akurat terkait pengaruh penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis online dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa, merupakan tujuan dari penelitian ini. Penggunaan pemodelan persamaan struktural dengan analisis datanya menggunakan analisis jalur ialah metode analisis data yang digunakan.  Setelah dilakukan pengolahan data statistik menggunakan Software R dan STATCAL, diketahui hasil penelitian yakni diperolehnya nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,54 yang menyatakan bahwa penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis online dan motivasi belajar memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

Canva application is an online application-based digital platform that can be used and developed by teachers in the process of creating interesting learning media for students. The Canva application also offers many features and templates that support Canva's appearance to be more interactive and easier to understand.. One of real benefits of Canva application for the education sector is exploring the creativity of educators and students in the teaching and learning process. In other words, training and mentoring activities to create learning media with the help of using the Canva application are useful in increasing creativity of teachers and students in creating learning media and operating the various features available. This needs to be done so that when making teaching materials, the results obtained are more interesting, thereby encouraging good learning outcomes in the teaching and learning process. The use of literature theories and concepts as a result of literature studies using quantitative methods is a type of research method used in community service activities. The results of community service activities show that there has been a significant increase in understanding for all participants in terms of creating learning media with the help of the Canva application. These results are supported by the participants' ability to complete the assignments given by the team of presenters and the results of calculating teacher responses regarding the benefits of training in making learning media using the Canva application obtained an average combined percentage is 96.08%, which results are included in very good category.

Abstract

Community service activities (PKM) were carried out in the form of training on the use of Augmented Reality applications for teachers and students for understanding geometry at SMP Negeri 4 Percut Sei Tuan. The number of participants in this community service activity amounted to 26 people. The purpose of this PKM activities include 1) to determine the use of Augmented Reality media in learning geometry on teachers and students of SMP Negeri 4 Percut Sei Tuan, and 2) to determine the response of students after participating in socialization and training on the use of Augmented Reality in learning geometry on students and teachers of SMP Negeri 4 Percut Sei Tuan. The method implemented in this PKM activity consists of four stages The fourth stage is the stage of evaluating activities. The first stage is the observation stage of the students and teachers. The second stage is the stage of providing training materials. The third stage is the stage of providing problems to be solved by students and teachers. Evaluation of PKM activities is carried out through questionnaires given to students and teachers after PKM activities are held. Data analysis is done quantitatively descriptive. The conclusions obtained are 1) the students and teachers have known how to use Augmented Reality applications in understanding geometry, and 2) the response of students and teachers in this activity is categorized as good.

Abstract

The rapid development of Science and Technology has now been widely used in various fields of life, especially in the field of education, specifically in the field of Mathematics. The increasing development of educational technology makes the use of online-based teaching materials an important component in the learning process in higher education. Of course, this is expected to influence the progress of student academic achievement. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research which aims to analyze the relationship between the use of online-based teaching materials and student academic achievement. The method used in this research involves analysis with two methods, namely Pearson and Spearman correlation. Both methods aim to measure the strength and direction of the relationship between two variables, namely the use of online teaching materials and student academic achievement. The Pearson correlation method is used for data that meets the normal distribution assumption, while the Spearman correlation is used for data that does not meet the normality assumption. The research sample was taken from students who actively used online teaching materials during one semester. The research results show that there is a significant relationship between the intensity of use of online-based teaching materials and student academic achievement. The Pearson correlation value shows a positive linear relationship between the two variables with a value of 0.744. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of online-based teaching materials has strong potential to improve student academic achievement, with a significance value for the strength of the relationship between variables of 0.027.

Abstract

Today, higher education faces growing challenges in integrating technology to enhance unique and innovative student learning experiences. One technology that has been in the spotlight in recent years and is very widely used today is Augmented Reality (AR). Considering that currently, there are still many students who have difficulty understanding learning concepts well, have difficulty applying the material studied in everyday life, it is hoped that the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in higher education can be a solution. Augmented Reality (AR) can change the way students view learning as well as its extensive use which can also be felt by all elements of the academic community at universities as tertiary institutions. Thus, this research aims to find out how much influence the use of Augmented Reality (AR) has in universities, namely lecturers, students and universities. The method used in this research is paired t-test. From the research results, it is known that the application of Augmented Reality (AR) has a significant effect in higher education with an effectiveness value of 70% which is included in the interpretation category of effectiveness as quite effective

Abstract

Pada era globalisasi saat ini, perubahan yang sangat pesat dialami oleh tatanan kehidupan masyarakat. Masyarakat dihadapkan pada perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) yang begitu pesat kemajuannya. Saat ini juga sudah sangat banyak dilakukan pseembaharuan teknologi di tengah-tengah kehidupan masyarakat di berbagai bidang kehidupan. Sebagai contoh di bidang Pendidikan, masyarakat yang langsung menggunakan dan memanfaatkannya ialah para pendidik dan para mahasiswa, tepatnya pada bidang ilmu Matematika. Harapan besar pun muncul dari semakin berkembangnya teknologi di bidang pendidikan ini, yakni menjadikan proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih mudah dipahami dan dapat diinterpretasikan langsung dalam kehidupan sehari - hari. Tentunya hal tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa sehingga berpengaruh langsung terhadap kemajuan prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Namun, fakta di lapangan masih banyak ditemukan mahasiswa yang masih belum mau aktif ataupun antusias untuk  memanfaatkan penggunaan teknologi tersebut sehingga menyebabkan proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan di kelas terasa sulit dan membosankan. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kemajuan teknologi terhadap motivasi belajar dan prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Penggunaan pemodelan persamaan struktural dengan analisis datanya menggunakan analisis jalur ialah metode analisis data yang digunakan. Setelah dilakukan pengolahan data statistik menggunakan Software STATCAL, diketahui hasil penelitian berupa nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,824. Nilai tersebut menyatakan bahwa kemajuan teknologi dan motivasi belajar memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan secara kausal terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

Food safety is a crucial aspect of Sanitary Science because it is an absolute requirement for providing safe and healthy food. Because food safety is an absolute requirement, everyone (despite their socioeconomic status) has the right to access safe and healthy food. Before food or beverages is served, it generally undergoes a processing process either in an industry or in a household. Considering that food and beverages must be available at all times, while the population is increasing, this situation requires us to improve and accelerate food supply through the correct supply chain. This condition has been clarified by the number of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) that have sprung up in the food and beverage sector, especially in Medan City. One of them is Gushur Chillin Space Cafe'. Therefore, knowledge about food preservation, food additives, food sanitation and hygiene plus everything related to food safety is crucial and needs to be informed to entrepreneurs, cafe' employees and other SMEs engaged in the food and beverages industry. This research is a literature study. The results of the community service activities indicated that the participant's knowledge of the application of food safety increased, and they got an idea of how to serve food and beverages that were guaranteed to be safe in terms of ingredients and processes for consumers. The other results of the increasing knowledge about food safety are the participant could market their business more widely and be known by the public.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan ilmu universal dan mendasari lahirnya perkembangan pengetahuan dan teknologi. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya pembelajaran matematika di sekolah yang dimulai pada setiap tingkat dan jenis pendidikan. Terkait dengan ilmu matematika, terdapat satu materi pembelajaran yang menjadi topik permasalahan pada penelitian ini, yakni Geomteri. Pengetahuan mengenai transformasi geometri sangat berguna bagi siswa-siswi. Manfaatnya antara lain untuk membangun kemampuan spasial, kemampuan penalaran geometri dan memperkuat pembuktian matematika. Kemampuan-kemampuan tersebut diharapkan dapat membuat siswa-siswi mengeksplorasi konsep matematika abstrak tentang konsep kekongruenan atau kesebangunan, memperkaya pengalaman, pemikiran dan imajinasi geometri siswa-siswi, serta meningkatkan kemampuan spasial nya. Oleh sebab itu, konsep transformasi geometri harus benar-benar dikuasai oleh peserta didik. Kegiatan ini bertujuan agar siswa-siswi mampu menggunakan teknologi yang ada saat ini dan mengaplikasikannya dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini meliputi pengenalan siswa-siswi terhadap software Geogebra. Penggunaan software Geogebra dapat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan persoalan bangun datar. Dari hasil kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan, diketahui bahwa pengetahuan peserta kegiatan bertambah terkait penggunaan software Geogebra, khususnya pada pembelajaran geometri untuk bangun datar di tingkat SMP.
