Abstract

The incidence and mortality of diarrhea in children in developing countries is still high. Moreover, in children who get formula milk, the number is significantly higher compared to children who get breast milk, which protects babies against infection. Data obtained at the DKT Hospital in Gubeng Pojok Surabaya regarding data on the incidence of diarrhea in the last three years in infants, starting from 2014-2016, concluded that from 2014-2016 at the Hospital of Gubeng Pojok Surabaya, there was an increase in the incidence of diarrhea in infants aged 0- 6 months as much as 3-4% and exceeding the tolerance level, while the tolerance rate from the Hospital of Gubeng Pojok Surabaya DKT to the incidence of diarrhea in infants is 10%. Method: This study uses analytic design with Cross Sectional Survey. The study population was all infants aged 0-6 months at the DKT Gubeng Pojok Surabaya Hospital with 1,849 infants. Sampling is done by probability sampling with systematic random sampling and a sample of 225 infants is obtained. Results: The results showed that the majority of infants who received PASI had diarrhea of ??124 infants (86.71%) compared to infants who received ASI did not suffer from diarrhea of ??62 infants (75.61%). The Chi-Square test shows the following results, that x2 counts> x2 tables (87.84> 3.84), which means there is a relationship between PASI giving to infants aged 0-6 months with the incidence of diarrhea. Discussion: there is a relationship between PASI giving to infants aged 0-6 months with the incidence of diarrhea in hospitals DKT Gubeng Pojok Surabaya. Therefore, midwives as health workers need to encourage and motivate mothers to continue to give exclusive breastfeeding 0-6 months.

Abstract

Introduction: Independent Learning Program-Independent Campus (MBKM) is a policy issued by the Minister of Education and Culture since 2020 so that graduates are ready to face global challenges. Based on the policy issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture, it is necessary to adjust the strategy for the curriculum of the Health study program that already has provisions in the application of the curriculum. Since the establishment of the MBKM program in universities, the fact is that the curriculum of the health study program has not been able to adjust policies related to the MBKM program as a whole.  Therefore, a review of the published primary research is carried out to be able to provide comprehensive scientific evidence related to the MBKM program strategy for the health study program curriculum. Objective: This study aims to investigate the MBKM program strategy for the health study program curriculum. Method: Scoping review with a comprehensive search strategy was carried out using the Pubmed, SCOPUS, CINAHL, EMBASE and ProQuest database libraries and using the Science Direct and Google Scholar search engines, with full-text article criteria, ranging from 2021-2023 with Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) and Cross-sectional Studies research designs. Based on the search results, there are six articles that meet the analysis criteria. Results: based on six articles, several health study programs were found to implement the MBKM strategy, but several obstacles were also found in the implementation of the MBKM strategy. Conclusions and Suggestions: the six articles are then grouped according to the MBKM strategy approach, namely staying focused on achieving SKL / CPL, still paying attention to the fulfillment of learning rights for a maximum of three semesters, students get learning experiences with additional competencies obtained from each study program, the application of students getting learning experience in the real world in accordance with the profile and scope of their field of work and the curriculum that has been designed and implemented is flexible and adaptable to the development of science and technology (scienfic vision) and the demands of the field of work (market signal). Each of these strategies is then used as an illustration in the implementation of the MBKM program for the health study program curriculum.

Abstract

Background: Anemia is one of the most significant global public health problems that affects a person's physical and mental abilities. Geography, lifestyle, and diet influence the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women, which is estimated to range from 14 to 80% in different countries (WHO, 2019. This study aims to analyze the relationship between pregnancy anemia and the incidence of depression in postpartum mothers. Subjects and Method: Systematic Review using the PRISMA diagram in the RevMan 5.3 application. Database searches from PubMed, Scopus, Wiley Online Library, and Science Direct were conducted in 2022-2024, and can be accessed for free, with the search terms "Anemia in pregnancy" OR "Low level of hemoglobin in pregnancy" AND "depression". Results: A total of 6 articles that were selected from 432 quantitative articles based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, showed that there was a significant relationship between gestational anemia and the incidence of depression in postpartum mothers. However, some articles have not shown a significant association between pregnancy anemia and postpartum depression. Conclusion: Although there are studies that have not significant results, the administration of blood supplement tablets and monitoring of Fe intake in pregnant women for the prevention of anemia is important because there is a 50% chance of causing depression and other consequences during and after childbirth.
