Abstract

This thesis aims to describe the form of social criticism of war in song lyric of Iwan Fals and Bob Dylan and the comparation of them. This thesis belongs to qualitative research. Subject of this research is song lyric of Iwan Fals from www.iwanfals.co.id and song lyric of Bob Dylan from www.bobdylan.com. The research focused to songlyricthat contains social criticism of war theme and applied to comparative literature theory. The method to analyze this data is descriptive analysis. Validity of data obtained by triangulation technique. Based on the results of the study concluded the following points. First, social criticism of war in song lyric of Iwan Fals described by persuade form. Second, social criticism of war in song lyric of Bob Dylan described by curse form. Third, sosial criticism of war in song lyric of Iwan Fals and Bob Dylan described by different form because different orientation: Iwan Fals tendents to push foward persuade form because war is only an useless, meanwhile Bob Dylan tendents to push foward curse form because war is very cruel.Keywords: song lyric, social criticism, comparative literature

Abstract

Results of learning and motivation of learners in learning English is not entirely satisfactory. One of the causes is developed and utilized learning methods provided by educators. This study aims to investigate the learning outcomes and learner motivation, that uses learning methods word grouping activities. This study is an experimental research conducted at Senior High School Negeri 24 Kerinci model 2x2 factorial design research. The study population were students of class VII with a sample consisting of two classes which serves as the control class and experimental class with the number of each learner is 20 people. In this study the data collected through questionnaires learning motivation and achievement test. Data analysis technique used is the t-test and anova. The results showed that: 1) Using t-test, study results showed that the Group of learners who are learning method using word grouping activities better compared to the results of a study group of learners who use conventional learning methods. 2) Using t-test, there is a significant difference between the results of the learning motivation of students of higher learning method using word grouping activities with participants who use conventional learning methods. 3) Using t-test, there is a significant difference between the results of the study, low motivation of learners use learning methods of word grouping activities with learners who use conventional learning methods. 4) There was no interaction between the methods of learning and learning motivation towards learning outcomes after a test of anova.

Abstract

Salah satu sumber energi terbarukan adalah biomassa. Biomassa merupakan bahan organik yang umumnya berasal dari tanaman. Briket bioarang merupakan bahan bakar padat dan berasal dari biomassa yang diarangkan terlebih dahulu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh metode pengarangan dan ukuran partikel terhadap kualitas briket.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengarangan torefaksi pada suhu 200°C, 300°C dan pengarangan manual. Ukuran partikel arang divariasikan 20 dan 40 mesh. Parameter yang uji adalah kadar air, nilai kalor, kadar karbon terikat, kadar zat menguap, kadar abu, densitas dan laju pembakaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tipe pengarangan torefaksi mampu meningkatkan kualitas briket melalui peningkatan nilai kalor, kadar karbon terikat dan menurunkan  kadar air serta zat menguap serta dihasilkannya produk asap cair sebanyak 48,5%. Kualitas briket hasil pengarangan torefaksi suhu 3000°C ukuran arang 20 mesh memenuhi mutu I SNI 01-6235-2000 dengan nilai kalor, kadar air masing-masing adalah 6841 kal/g, 3,52 % dan kadar karbon terikat, zat menguap, abu, densitas serta laju pembakaran masing-masing adalah 50,06%, 37,59%,  8,13%,  1,71 g/cm3, 0,076 g/menit

Abstract

The development of the digital domain shows a significant increase, both internationally and domestically. This study aims to examine the influence of Brand Ambassadors and Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), both separately and in conjunction, on Purchasing Decisions within the Shopee application. The research employs a quantitative methodology based on data collected through surveys. The sample consists of 120 respondents who utilize skincare products from the Shopee platform. This research utilizes conventional assumption testing instruments and multiple linear regression for data analysis. The findings indicate that both Brand Ambassadors and E-WOM have a positive and significant impact on Purchasing Decisions, both independently and collectively, within the Shopee mobile app.
