Abstract

ABSTRAK Kecelakaan ataupun bencana merupakan fenomena yang dapat terjadi tanpa dikehendaki oleh setiap orang. Tanpa penanganan awal yang tepat, suatu kecelakaan dapat membuat seseorang kehilangan nyawanya. Pertolongan pertama penting untuk dilakukan pada korban kecelakaan agar terhindar dari kematian atau kecacatan. Oleh karena itu, pengetahuan mengenai Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) sangat diperlukan untuk menangani kasus-kasus tersebut. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan melakukan Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) bagi Kader Kesehatan di kelurahan Makawidey. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dan workshop kepada kader kesehatan kelurahan Makawidey. Evaluasi pengetahuan dan praktik dilakukan pada awal dan akhir kegiatan dengan menjalankan angket evaluasi. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang BHD setelah dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan, dimana terjadi peningkatan dari segi nilai pengetahuan sebesar 20.43%. Selain itu dari segi nilai ujian praktik, rata-rata nilai ujian para peserta cukup baik yaitu 69.90%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kegiatan pelatihan BHD dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan para kader kesehatan kelurahan Makawidey. Lebih lanjut, pengetahuan para para kader kesehatan sudah cukup baik untuk mempraktikkan pemberian Bantuan Hidup Dasar dalam kehidupan bermasyarakatnya. Kata Kunci: Bantuan Hidup Dasar, Kader Kesehatan, Edukasi.  ABSTRACT Accidents or disasters are phenomena that can happen unexpectedly by everyone. Without proper initial treatment, an accident can occur in people’s life. First aid is important for the accident victims to avoid death or disability. Therefore, the knowledge of Basic Life Support (BHD) is needed to handle the cases. This activity aimed to increase knowledge and skills in implementing Basic Life Assistance (BHD) for Health Cadres in Makawidey. The method used was socialization and workshops for health cadres in Makawidey. Evaluation of knowledge and practice was at the beginning and the end of the activity questionnaire. There was an increase in the participants' knowledge about BHD after the training activities, where there was an increase in terms of the knowledge by 20.43%. Apart from that, in terms of practical, the average scores of the participants were quite good, namely 69.90%. It can be concluded that BHD training activities can increase the knowledge of Makawidey’s health cadres. Furthermore, the knowledge of the health cadres is good enough to be practice in the provision of Basic Life support in their community. Keywords: Basic Life Support, Health Cadres, Education.

Abstract

Kelebihan berat badan pada anak-anak adalah masalah serius, karena bisa berlanjut sampai dewasa. Hal ini membuat anak sangat rentan terhadap masalah kesehatan, sehingga meningkatkan risiko penyakit metabolisme dan degeneratif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola makan dengan status gizi pada anak usia sekolah di SD Don Bosco Bitung. Metode penelitian ini deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional, pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik total sampling, dengan jumlah responden 123 responden. Hasil penelitian terhadap pola makan didapati 70 responden (56.9%) dengan kategori pola makan sering, sedangkan status gizi didapati 61 responden (49.6%) dengan kategori gizi baik (normal). Selain itu di dapati pula masalah 20 responden (16.3%) dengan kategori gizi lebih (overweight) dan 39 responden (31.7%) dengan kategori obesitas (obese). Hasil uji statistik uji korelasi spearman rank menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan p-value = 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pola makan dengan status gizi pada anak usia sekolah di SD Don Bosco Bitung dengan nilai korelasi yang tinggi r = 0,680, hasil ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara kedua variabel, ini berarti bahwa semakin baik pola makan anak, maka semakin baik juga status gizi anak. Rekomendasi bagi siswa maupun orang tua untuk selalu memperhatikan dan mengatur makanan yang sehat untuk dikonsumsi dan bagi pihak sekolah untuk selalu menjaga kebersihan makanan dan selalu menyiapkan menu kantin yang sehat, untuk peneliti selanjutnya untuk meneliti faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi seperti faktor genetik, sosial ekonomi keluarga dan aktivitas fisik. KATA KUNCI: Anak usia sekolah, Pola makan, Status gizi ABSTRACT Childhood obesity is a pressing concern due to its potential persistence into adulthood, making children highly susceptible to health issues and increasing the risk of metabolic and degenerative diseases. This study aims to investigate the relationship between dietary patterns and the nutritional status of school-age children at Don Bosco Elementary School in Bitung. We employed a descriptive correlation methodology with a cross-sectional approach, using a total sampling technique that resulted in 123 respondents. The findings concerning dietary patterns revealed that 70 respondents (56.9%) fell into the frequent dietary pattern category, while 61 respondents (49.6%) had good (normal) nutritional status. Furthermore, it was also observed that there were 20 respondents (16.3%) categorized as overweight, and 39 respondents (31.7%) categorized as obese. Statistical analysis using Spearman's rank correlation test demonstrated a significant relationship with a p-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This outcome indicates a strong correlation between dietary patterns and nutritional status among school-age children at SD Don Bosco Bitung, with a high correlation coefficient value of r = 0.680. This suggests a positive association between the two variables, implying that the better a child's dietary pattern, the more favorable their nutritional status is likely to be. We recommend that both students and parents maintain awareness of and regulate the consumption of healthy foods. Furthermore, the school should prioritize food hygiene and consistently provide a wholesome cafeteria menu. For future research, it is advisable to investigate other influencing factors such as genetics, family socioeconomic status, and physical activity. Abstract

Aims: This study aims to investigate the correlation between coping strategies, perceived social support, and anxiety among nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional study. Total sampling technique was used to recruit 106 nursing students. Data were collected using the Coping Strategies Inventory Short-Form (CSI-SF), the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7). Pearson correlation was employed to examine the relationships between key variables. Results: Anxiety was significantly correlated with engagement (r = 0.192, p = 0.049), disengagement (r = 0.264, p = 0.006), emotion-focused engagement (r = 0.222, p = 0.022), and emotion-focused disengagement (r = 0.325, p = 0.001). However, social support and its subscales were not significantly correlated with anxiety (r = -0.007 to 0.147, p > 0.05). Conclusions: The study suggests that students with higher anxiety tend to adopt more coping strategies, suggesting that targeted training, social support networks, and personalized interventions can improve their mental health.

Abstract

Introduction: Dyslipidemia causes high mortality worldwide, about 4 million per year. The lifestyle of patients with high cholesterol levels tends to be poor which has the potential to trigger cardiovascular disease. Chronic stress in this population is also suspected to be associated with a poor lifestyle. Aim: To investigate the relationship between lifestyle and stress in patients with hypercholesterolemia. Methods: A descriptive correlational and cross-sectional design were applied with 53 respondents. The questionnaires used were Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP II) and Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). Results: There was no significant association between lifestyle and overall stress. The stress management domain had a significant correlation with stress. Conclusion: Hypercholesterolemic patients who had good control of psychological conditions, also experienced lower stress levels.

Abstract

Perilaku bullying merupakan tindakan yang tidak menyenangkan yang dilakukan secara sengaja dan dapat menimbulkan rasa tidak nyaman, tertekan, serta terluka baik pada individu maupun kelompok. Pola asuh orang tua sangat penting dalam proses tumbuh kembang anak, orang tua harus dapat menerapkan pola asuh yang sesuai dengan perilaku anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan perilaku bullyingpada remaja di SMP N 4 Bitung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif metode deskritif korelasi melalui pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel convenience sampling, dengan jumlah 94 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mayoritas pola asuh orang tua dari responden termasuk pada kategori pola asuh demokratis 32 (34,0%). Sedangkan untuk perilaku bullying berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 32 (34,0%) responden. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik menggunakan Kruskal-Wallis didapati pola asuh demokratis memiliki nilai mean rankterendah 36,67, sedangkan kelompok pola asuh uninvolved memiliki nilai mean rank tertinggi yaitu 56,766. Nilai p = 0.022 < 0,05 yang berarti ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan perilaku bullying pada remaja di SMP N 4 Bitung. Direkomendasikan bagi orang tua untuk memahami berbagai jenis pola asuh dan menerapkan pola asuh sesuai dengan karakteristik remaja
