Abstract

Tilapia is one type of freshwater fish that is very popular with people North Maluku community, and has potential economic value to be developed in North Maluku. The production target for consumption needs is still very far from the target requirement. This research was conducted to evaluate the performance of the hormone ovaprim, fecundity, fertilization rate, hatching rate in tilapia. This study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD). The results showed that the highest degree of healing was found in treatment C at a dose of 0.6 ml/gr bt (85.19%) then treatment B at a dose of 0.4 ml/gr bt (82.78%) A dose 0.2 ml/grm bt of (77%), and dose D (control) did not occur spawning. From the analysis of variance data showed that treatment C at a dose of 0.6 ml/grm bt gave a very significant effect on the percentage of fertilization of tilapia eggs on the value (F count = 117 > F table 0.01 = 7.59.

Abstract

The South Halmahera Islands feature a comprehensive marine coastal ecology. The ecosystems found were seagrass, mangrove and coral reef ecosystems. The components that sustain the existence of this ecosystem are employed equitably because of its geographical location on the equator. Mangrove ecosystems that provide benefits directly and indirectly to the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of the mangrove ecosystem based on the hemispherical photography method and the type of zonation. Tawabi Island, Kayoa, South Halmahera Regency served as the site of the equator research. The research station is determined as many as 3 stations. Mangrove percent cover canopy using the hemispherical photography and transect quadrant for density. Field data gathering procedures with transects drawn perpendicular from the sea to the land. Zonation characteristics and thickness using zone tracking. Density mangrove using ecology analysis and zonation using canvas 9.0. The results of the research founded were Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata and Sonneratia alba. Mangrove percent cover canopy were good category (75-81%), where station I (75%), station II (81%) and station III (77%). Mangroves were found in 3 zones Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora apiculata and Rhizophora mucronata. The mangrove thickness from sea to land at station I (65 meters), station II (69 meters) and station III (42 meters). Keywords:biodiversitycoastalequator lineHalmaheratropical

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem is a potential coastal and marine area that has a very important resource function. The mangrove ecosystem must be managed sustainably so that it can provide optimal benefits, especially the mangrove ecosystem in Guraping Village which has been designated as an ecotourism area. The aim of this research is to analyze the ecological condition of the mangrove ecosystem and analyze the dimensions of sustainable management of the mangrove ecosystem in Guraping Village. The method used in this research line transect method with a 10x10 meter quadrant to determine ecological conditions. Interviews were conducted with key respondents from stakeholders and the dimensions of sustainable management were analyzed using Rapfish. Measurement of environmental parameters directly on site. The results obtained from this research can determine the ecological condition of mangroves at the research location which still have good status based on the number of species, species density, species cover, diversity index, mangrove canopy cover data. The calculation of the results of the assessment of the dimensions of mangrove sustainability management, which consists of ecological dimensions, economic dimensions, socio-cultural dimensions, legal, institutional and policy dimensions and technological and infrastructure dimensions, is classified as a less accountable level category.
