Abstract

Background: One of the most common degenerative diseases among the elderly is hypertension. Headaches are one of the symptoms of hypertension; if not addressed promptly, headaches in hypertensive patients can lead to sleep disturbances, anxiety, emotional instability, and ultimately affect the patient's quality of life. One non-pharmacological management that can be employed to address headaches is guided imagery therapy with instrumental music. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of guided imagery therapy with instrumental music on the level of headaches in elderly hypertensive patients in Dusun Krajan, Desa Bektiharjo, Semanding. Method: The research design in this study is a quantitative pre-experimental using the one group pre-test post-test design method. The population in this study consists of elderly hypertensive patients experiencing headaches, totaling 25 elderly individuals, with a sample selected through purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 23 elderly individuals. Result: The results of the conducted research showed that elderly individuals with mild headache levels after undergoing therapy for 3 consecutive days exhibited a decrease in pain levels. After being analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α=<0.05, with a p-value of 0.000<0.05, the result obtained was an Asymp sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Conclusion : It can be concluded that H1 is accepted, which means that guided imagery therapy with instrumental music has an effect on the level of headache in elderly hypertensive patients in Dusun Krajan, Desa Bektiharjo, Semanding. The guided imagery technique is a method that helps achieve deep relaxation, creating relaxation in various ways that can control the nervous system, ultimately lowering blood pressure, thereby alleviating headaches caused by elevated blood pressure.

Abstract

Demensia merupakan gangguan fungsi kognitif yang mengakibatkan lansia cenderung untuk menarik diri, sehingga dapat menyebabkan gangguan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sosialisasi dengan lingkungan dan orang lain yang tinggal bersama di panti. Penanganan yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi demensia adalah dengan TAK orientasi realita yang berguna untuk memperbaiki fungsi sosialisasi dan meningkatkan daya ingat lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada pengaruh TAK orientasi realita terhadap peningkatan daya ingat lansia. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan tehnik One Group Pre – Post Test Design. Populasi adalah semua lansia dengan demensia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Gaji, Kerek, Kabupaten Tuban.Sampel sebanyak 22 lansia, diambil dengan tehnik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Mini Mental State Exam (MMSE). Analisis data menggunakan uji wilcoxon dengan nilai signifikan ? = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikan peningkatan daya ingat, maka dapat dibuktikan bahwa pemberian terapi aktivitas kelompok orientasi realita berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan daya ingat lansia dengan demensia. Terapi aktivitas kelompok orientasi realita terbukti efektif meningkatkan daya ingat lansia dengan melakukan selama 3 kali dalam 1 minggu. Terapi ini dapat dijadikan program untuk mewujudkan lansia yang sehat dan mampu bersosialisasi dengan lingkungan serta orang lain yang tinggal di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Gaji, Kerek, Kabupaten Tuban

Abstract

Introduction: Cognitive function in older adults often declines, particularly affecting short-term memory. Older adults may also experience difficulties in learning new information, adapting to changes, and recognizing people, places, and objects. One approach to improving cognitive function is memory games therapy. This study aims to examine the effect of memory game therapy on the cognitive function of older people. Methods: This research employed a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The study was conducted in September 2024 in Tuban Regency. The population consisted of 36 older adults experiencing cognitive decline, and a sample of 33 participants was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was the "Memory Card," and cognitive function was measured using the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: Most respondents were female (54.5%), and 63.6% were aged 60–74. Most participants had completed senior high school (42.5%). Before the intervention, 30.3% of respondents had severe cognitive impairment. After the intervention, 45.5% had mild impairment, and 15.2% showed normal cognitive function. Memory games therapy significantly affected cognitive function in older adults (ρ = 0.000). Conclusion: The findings of this study demonstrate the effectiveness of memory game therapy in improving the cognitive function of older adults. Therefore, it is recommended that nurses incorporate memory game therapy as an intervention in Older Adults' Integrated Service Post activities.

Abstract

Kinerja merupakan capaian hasil kerja seseorang dalam melaksanakan tugas yang diberikan kepadanya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara hardiness dengan kinerja perawat di ruang rawat inap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional dengan pendekatan waktu cross-sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perawat. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cluster random sampling sehingga didapatkan sampel sebanyak 74 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Dispotional Resilience Scale 15 (DRS-15) dan Kuesioner Kinerja Nursalam 2017. Hasil penelitian setelah dilakukan analisis menggunakan uji Spearman’s  dengan tingkat kemaknaan ɑ < 0.05 diperoleh nilai ρ= 0.000<0.05 dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar r= 0.584 yang menunjukkan hubungan antara kedua variabel termasuk dalam kategori cukup dan menunjukkan korelasi positif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara hardiness dengan kinerja perawat di ruang rawat inap. Artinya kepribadian hardiness yang dimiliki perawat dapat mempengaruhi kinerja perawat tersebut. Apabila perawat memiliki hardiness tinggi maka kinerja yang diberikan akan optimal.

Abstract

Introduction: Pre-school children often see the experience of hospitalization as something scary. they still have difficulty distinguishing between imagination and reality, so that they often think that hospital treatment is a form of punishment for their behavior. especially while the child is undergoing treatment in hospital, usually children will be prohibited from moving around a lot and must get plenty of rest. This is certainly disappointing for the child, because he didn't have much time to play actively in the hospital. This can increase anxiety in children. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nursing care and anxiety levels in preschool children during hospitalization in the pediatric ward of RSNU Tuban. Methods: This study uses a non-experimental analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study consisted of all parents of preschool children who were hospitalized in the pediatric room of RSNU Tuban in February-March 2025, totaling 56 respondents. By using non-probability sampling with accidental sampling technique and data analysis was carried out using the sperm rank test. Results: The results of the study analyzed the relationship between nurse caring and anxiety levels in preschool children during hospitalization in the Pediatric Ward of RSNU Tuban. This was proven by analyzing the Speramen Rank test of -0.401 and p 0.002, which means the coefficient value is moderate, which can be concluded that H1 is accepted. Conclusion: The results of this study identified that nursing care can reduce the level of anxiety in preschool children during hospitalization, as evidenced by the better the nursing care provided, the lower the level of anxiety in preschool children.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is a neurological disorder that occurs due to disruption of blood circulation to the brain which lasts for about 24 hours or more.  The activities of the stroke association are running quite smoothly, but some programs are not running well, especially the program to move the body using physical or movement techniques. Lack of knowledge and awareness of sufferers to practice moving their stiff bodies.  This causes the condition of stroke sufferers to worsen. Method: This education is provided to provide an overview of stroke and its prevention, both for families who provide support and care and for sufferers themselves to provide encouragement and an overview of what activities they must carry out correctly. Providing the SEP stroke education program using the telerehabilitation method is very appropriate for patients to use while at home to control and as telerehabilitation which can be used for rehabilitation patients at home to increase independence and mobility in post-stroke patients. Results: The stroke education activities of the SEP program using the telerehabilitation method have shown significant results with the evaluation results of stroke sufferers having a lot of improvement in their abilities, especially in independence and re-mobilization. Conclusion: This community service activity is a means of helping post-stroke patients to be able to control and act as home rehabilitation aids to increase independence and mobility in post-stroke patients and also answer the challenges of the 5.0 era.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Remaja putri memiliki risiko lebih tinggi terkena anemia karena menstruasi bulanan dan peningkatan kebutuhan zat besi selama masa pertumbuhan. Kondisi ini dapat berdampak negatif pada perkembangan fisik dan kognitif, prestasi sekolah, dan kualitas hidup. Pencegahan dan deteksi dini anemia pada remaja putri sangatlah penting. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai pencegahan anemia dan melakukan deteksi dini melalui pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin (Hb). Metode: Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan mengenai tanda, dampak, dan pencegahan anemia, serta pemeriksaan kadar Hb untuk mengidentifikasi siswi MTS Muhammadiyah 2 Palang dan MTS Palang, Kecamatan Palang, Kabupaten Tuban, yang mengalami anemia. Metode yang digunakan antara lain penyuluhan tentang tanda, dampak, dan cara pencegahan anemia, serta pemeriksaan Hb untuk mengidentifikasi siswi yang mengalami anemia. Hasil: Hasil dari Program kesehatan masyarakat di MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Palang dan MTs Hidayatush Shibyan Palang telah secara signifikan meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan perilaku siswa terhadap pengobatan anemia. Melalui pendidikan yang terstruktur dan interaktif, para siswa memahami pentingnya makan sehat, gaya hidup sehat, dan konsumsi tablet tambah darah sebagai metode pencegahan. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini juga menemukan bahwa pendidikan kesehatan di lingkungan sekolah dapat efektif dalam mencegah anemia di kalangan siswa, yang mengindikasikan perlunya program yang komprehensif dari berbagai pemangku kepentingan. Kombinasi antara pendidikan, promosi kesehatan, dan pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin merupakan strategi yang efektif untuk mencegah dan mengobati anemia pada siswa.
