Abstract

Modeling air humidity in the mangrove ecosystem using Fourier functions shows a cycle of temporal fluctuations. The cycle is influenced by the intensity of the sun. Graphical modeling of air humidity shows similarities for position 1 and position 3. Starting at 19.00 air humidity is 72% and continues to rise reaching 85.5% at exactly 04.00. Then it declined again by 59.2% at 12.00. Unlike the 9th position starting at 19.00 the value of air humidity is 71.5% and continues to rise reaching 82.5% at exactly 4:00 a.m., and decreases again to reach 65% at 12.00. The difference in the value of air humidity is because position 1 and position 3 are located outside and the edge of the mangrove forest where no or lack of mangrove canopy cover causes the evaporation process to occur very quickly. While position 9 is located in the mangrove forest where the mangrove canopy cover plays an important role in controlling the evaporation process and reducing the intensity of the sun. Besides that cross-choreal testing produces a time‒lag that varies for each position measuring air humidity based on the depth and edge of the mangrove ecosystem.

Abstract

Intensitas cahaya matahari dan suhu udara merupakan parameter iklim mikro yang berperan penting dalam proses biologis hutan bakau. Untuk mengetahui profil harian suhu udara yang di kontrol oleh intensitas cahaya matahari menggunakan fungsi Fourier yakni . Hasil penelitian menunjukan fluaktuasi kuat penerangan dan suhu udara pada posisi 1 (4 meter di luar hutan bakau) dan posisi 3 (tepi hutan bakau) lebih tinggi. Sedangkan posisi 9 (32 meter dalam hutan bakau) lebih rendah, hal ini disebabkan oleh hutan bakau mampu mereduksi kuat penerangan. Pengujian korelasi silang antara kuat penerangan dengan suhu udara menunjukan timelag dari posisi posisi 1 posisi 3 yakni 1.0 jam. Sedangkan posisi 3 ke posisi 9 ialah 1.3 jam, hal ini memperlihatkan bahwa difusi termal dikendalikan oleh arah horisontal. Dari perhitungan variabel iklim mikro dan pengujian korelasi silangnya membuktikan bahwa ekosistem bakau mampu menjaga keseimbangan iklim mikro daerah pesisir.

Abstract

The phenomenon of climate change that occurs in statistical distribution patterns throughout the period of change in variation. These changes would be implications for micro abiotic conditions. As a case study, the abiotic condition profile in mangrove ecosystems is interesting to study in the Fourier function. This study aims to describe the relationship between weather variables such as intensity, air temperature, and humidity using the Fourier function . The results of the study showed that the intensity of position 1 (the outermost point) and position 3 (the edge point) presented a graphic higher than position 9 (the point in) the mangrove forest, with a peak illumination at 12.00 at 51,210 lux. The air temperature at 19.00‒04.00 has decreased and rises again until 13.00 o’clock reached a maximum point of 34,60 C. The air temperature is inversely proportional to the humidity, at 19.00 to 04.00 an increase and again decreased to reached the minimum limit of 59,9% at 13.00 o’clock. In addition, cross-correlation showed of the air temperature and humidity consistently presented thermal diffusion of 1,0 hours from position 1 to position 3, while positions 3 to position 9 are 1,0 hours ‒ 1,2 hours. Data indicate that mangrove forests can reduce vertical thermal diffusion.

Abstract

Buah yang berasal dari Myristica fragrans merupakan sumber minyak atsiri dengan nilai ekonomi tinggi. Penelitian mengenai buah M. fragrans selama ini hanya memfokuskan pada indentifikasi senyawa bioaktif, penerapannya, dan yield-nya. Tapi penyelidikan mengenai perubahan fisik yakni diameter buah belum adanya pengkajian. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini memfokuskan pada perubahan diameter buah menggunakan fungsi Boltzmann , dan penggunaan fungsi yang dimaksud menunjukan luaran berupa garfik sigmoid semilogaritma. Dari grafik tersebut mencirikan tiga fase perubahan kumulatif diameter. Fase pertama terjadi selama tiga minggu, fase ke dua delapan minggu, dan fase ketiga yakni dua minggu. Disamping itu interpretasi mampu menjelaskan sebab akibat perubahan diameter tersebut.

Abstract

Kumo, Kupa-Kupa, Pitu, and Luari beaches are tourist destinations that are always crowded with local and foreign tourists. This becomes interesting, because recently the problem of human population density in an area has become a hot topic for study. Using the polynomial method, it resulted in 6th order with R2 0.950 (Kumo), 0.868 (Kupa-Kupa), 0.799 (Pitu), and 0.399 (Luari) representing the distribution of visits. The highest levels of visits occurred in the twelfth, fifth, fourth, and sixth months, respectively. The analysis by applying the logistics function shows the highest level of visits throughout 2018 which are Kumo 283.95 tourists, Kupa-Kupa 342.12 tourists, Pitu 81.77 tourists and, Luari 1088.35 tourists. Based on the threshold analysis, the threshold value shows 255.56 tourists (Kumo), 297.08 tourists (Kupa-Kupa), 65.58 tourists (Pitu), and 836.42 tourists (Luari). The results of this study inform the level of tourist visits exceeding the threshold value in four tourist destinations. Given that the four tourist destinations carry the concept of ecology as a selling point, the manager needs to reorganize the level of tourist visits. Excess levels of tourist arrivals can have a negative impact on the comfort and sustainability of tourist destinations

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) latest reports about hypertension as a global health problem, due to a spike in cases. One of the roles of mathematics in health is to provide information about the increase in hypertension sufferers. Using a deterministic model is supposed to provide information that can explain how the cases increase. The deterministic model used is divided into two equations. The first equation uses k as a constant. Second, is p for p < 1 and p > 1. The results from both equations are in the form of a logistic curve and show simulation results are similar to condition data for hypertension sufferers. In addition, the extended deterministic model with p <1 indicates that hypertension sufferers increase exponentially, thus an intervention step is needed.

Abstract

Terletak di kawasan timur Indonesia, Tobelo Kabupaten Halmahera Utara terkenal dengan keindahan alamnya. Mamuya adalah destinasi wisata pemandian air panas yang memiliki keindahan alam. Pemandian air panas ini selalu ramai dikunjungi wisatawan lokal. Tapi pada faktanya destinasi mamuya belum dikelola berdasarkan ekologi. Luaran analisis menunjukan y=-0.179x^6+7.086x^5-109.0x^4+824.1x^3-3176x^2-5756x-2832 dengan R2 = 0.793. Fungsi tersebut merepresentasikan kunjungan wisatawan, setiap bilangan yang bernilai positif mengindikasikan penambahan wisatawan. Sedangkan bilangan negatif merupakan kebalikan dari positif. Analisis daya dukung destinasi mamuya yakni 606.25 wisatawan per tahun sedangkan populasi maksimum kunjungan menyentuh angka 737.15 wisatawan per tahun. Data ini mengindikasikan terjadinya kelebihan kapasitas di kawasan wisata.

Abstract

Lack of knowledge regarding agricultural product processing and the application of relevant technologies is indeed a significant obstacle to the development of the food processing. This is reflected in the village of Sailal which is located in the mining area of PT. Antam, where pineapple is one of the cultivated plants that provides income to the community, but its economic value is low. These obstacles are the main focus of community service activities. The implementation team applied participatory action research as a method to solve the problem. The application of the method showed an increase in understanding of wine for three criteria, namely understanding wine 44%, the difference between wine and alcohol 30%, and the type of fruit in producing wine 40%. Meanwhile, understanding of UMKM is 40% at the level of importance from the expectation of 100%. The low percentage is because according to community groups it is very difficult to understand the theory rather than the practice. The practical activity of processing pineapple derivative products is wine The level of importance is at 95% of the expected 100%. The data informs that the group is very satisfied with the application of technology to process pineapple into wine. Although the training activities were successful, there were still obstacles in the implementation of UMKM. The next program activity plan focuses on the application of theory to form UMKM groups. ABSTRAKKendala dalam pengolahan hasil pertanian yakni minimnya pengetahuan pengolahan dan penerapan teknologi yang relevan. Hal ini tercermin di desa Sailal yang berada dikawasan lingkar tambang PT. Antam, dimana nanas merupakan salah satu tanaman hasil budidaya yang memberikan pendapatan kepada masyarakat, namun nilai ekonominya masih rendah. Kendala tersebut merupakan fokus utama dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Tim pelaksana menerapkan participatory action research sebagai metode guna memecahkan kendala tersebut. Pengaplikasian metode menunjukan peningkatan pemahaman wine untuk tiga kriteria yakni pemahaman wine 44%, perbedaan wine dengan alkohol 30%, dan jenis buah dalam memproduksi wine 40%. Sedangkan pemahaman tentang UMKM sebanyak 40% pada tingkat kepentingan dari harapan 100%. Rendahnya persentase tersebut karena menurut kelompok sangat sulit memahami teori daripada praktiknya. Adapun kegiatan praktik pengolahan produk turunan nanas yakni wine. Tingkat kepentingannya berada pada persentase 95% dari harapan 100%. Data yang tersedia menginformasikan, bahwa kelompok sangat puas terhadap pengaplikasian teknologi untuk mengolah nanas menjadi wine. Walaupun pelatihannya dapat berhasil, tapi memiliki kendala pada UMKM. Sehingga rencana program kegiatan selanjutnya yakni berfokus pada pengaplikasian teori untuk membentuk kelompok UMKM.
