Abstract

Bali is renowned for its diverse cultural heritage, including traditional herbal drinks like Loloh Cemcem from Penglipuran Village. This immunity-boosting beverage dates back to the Majapahit era but gained popularity during the COVID 19 pandemic. Despite being recorded as a Communal Intellectual Property, information about Loloh Cemcem is not well-structured, hindering knowledge dissemination. This research aims to address this issue by designing an ontology model to represent knowledge about Loloh Cemcem digitally. The Methodology approach is employed, consisting of specifying, knowledge acquisition, conceptualization, integration, implementation using Protégé software, evaluation through SPARQL queries, and documentation. The ontology model captures concepts, properties, relationships, and individuals related to Loloh Cemcem, facilitating structured information access and preservation of this traditional beverage’s knowledge.

Abstract

With the current technological advancements, there has been significant progress in monitoring systems, one of which is the rice storage monitoring system. Monitoring systems that were previously manual can now be automated and more efficient using IoT technology. This system is designed to monitor the temperature, air humidity, and air quality in rice storage facilities. IoT devices that can be used to design this system include NodeMCU ESP 8266, DHT 11 sensor and MQ-2 sensor. Additionally, a server and website are required for monitoring purposes. By utilizing NodeMCU ESP8266, which can connect to a Wi-Fi network, data from the sensors can be monitored online through a website. The design of this system employs the Research and Development method commonly used for product development. The aim of this system design is to simplify the monitoring of rice storage facilities for increased efficiency.

Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of securing academic transcripts for students by utilizing a combination of Rijndael encryption algorithm and Secure Hashing Algorithm-3 (SHA-3). The primary purpose is to enhance the protection and integrity of academic records against unauthorized access and tampering. SHA-3 is selected for its advanced cryptographic capabilities, surpassing its predecessors in security and efficiency. When combined with the Rijndael algorithm, which serves as the foundation for the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), the system achieves robust encryption and data integrity verification. Through comprehensive design, implementation, and testing phases, the study demonstrates that the proposed method is effective in safeguarding academic transcripts. The results indicate that the system not only ensures data security but also operates efficiently. This research provides a valuable reference for further development and implementation of secure academic data management systems.

Abstract

Accidents in Indonesia are increasing every day. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, the range from 2019 to 2021 shows that there were 320,084 accidents in which 74,466 people died, 33,779 people suffered serious injuries, 368,773 people suffered minor injuries, and resulted in material losses of Rp. 699,888,000,000.00 due to traffic accidents on the highway. This study aims to help reduce the death toll and also traffic accident reporting by utilizing the daily use of cellphones and smart gadgets. To overcome this problem, the authors created a design solution using the prototyping method which was implemented in a mobile application. In the prototype, the user can make an emergency call to call an ambulance so that the victim can quickly get help, and also the user can easily report a traffic accident. Hopefully the design of this application can reduce victims due to traffic accident incidents.

Abstract

So far, farmers have been able to determine soil fertility using manual methods. Farmers only look at the soil directly without measuring the level of moisture and nutrients contained in their plots of land. Due to farmers' lack of knowledge in determining the level of soil fertility on their land plots, they need a tool to help their performance. Later, this soil fertility tool will determine the level of humidity, temperature, and pH in the soil. With this tool, it is hoped that farmers will be able to optimize their harvests.

Abstract

In computer science, text refers to a sequence of characters that can be represented and processed by a computer. It is the basic unit of data for representing human-readable information, such as letters, numbers, symbols, and spaces. In computer programming, text is typically represented as a string of characters. Textual data can be stored in variables, manipulated using various string operations, and displayed to users through input/output operations.Text plays a crucial role in many areas of computer science, including natural language processing, information retrieval, data mining, and text-based communication systems like email, chat applications, and social media. It serves as a fundamental component for storing, analyzing, and processing vast amounts of textual information in various applications.

Abstract

Padmasana and Pelinggih are sacred structures that hold significant importance in the religious and cultural practices of the Balinese Hindu community. Padmasana refers to the elevated throne or shrine dedicated to the highest deity in Hinduism, while Pelinggih represents small sanctuaries or shrines found in various locations. Padmasana, often located in the innermost sanctum of temples or in open spaces, symbolizes the presence of the Supreme God in Hindu belief. It is characterized by an elevated platform adorned with intricate carvings and decorations, usually in the form of a lotus or a throne-like structure. Padmasana serves as a focal point for prayers, offerings, and rituals, where devotees seek spiritual connection and guidance from the divine. Through the ontological modeling of Padmasana and Pelinggih, this research contributes to the preservation and dissemination of the cultural heritage of the Balinese Hindu community. The ontological model serves as a knowledge repository, capturing the intricate details and interrelationships of these sacred structures, fostering a deeper understanding of their spiritual significance. Ultimately, this research promotes cross-cultural understanding and encourages the preservation and appreciation of Balinese Hindu traditions.
