Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis pada sistem TOT terhadap pemberian dosis pupuk majemuk NPK 16-16-16 dan pemberian mulsa jerami dengan ketebalan tertentu, serta mengetahui dosis yang efisien dari penggunaan pupuk NPK 16-16-16 dan tingkat ketebalan mulsa jerami untuk tanaman jagung manis yang dibudidayakan pada sistem tanpa olah tanah (TOT). Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan faktorial yang disusun menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi. Pada penelitian ini pembagian petak menjadi 2 macam yaitu petak utama yang merupakan perlakuan ketebalan mulsa jerami dan anak petak yang merupakan dosis pupuk NPK 16-16-16. Petak utama pada penelitian ini disusun dengan menggunakan rancangan dasar RAK Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa perlakuan dosis pupuk Majemuk NPK 16-16-16 berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Perlakuan dosis pupuk Majemuk NPK 16-16-16 300 kg/ha menunjukan hasil terbaik terhadap panjang tanaman (umur 28, 42, dan 56 HST), jumlah daun (umur 28, 42, dan 56 HST), panjang tongkol berkelobot, diameter tongkol berkelobot, berat tongkol berkelobot, dan kadar gula dengan perlakuan terbaik menggunakan dosis pupuk majemuk NPK 16-16-16 300 kg/ha (P3). Selain itu perlakuan ketebalan mulsa jerami berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter berat tongkol berkelobot dan kadar gula.

Abstract

Tomat merupakan tanaman sayuran buah yang memiliki prospek yang baik dalam pengembangan agribisnis karena memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dosis pupuk NPK 16:16:16 dan konsentrasi pupuk Plant Catalyst serta interaksinya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian Surabaya yang terletak di Kota Surabaya, Jawa Timur pada bulan April 2023-Agustus 2023. Penelitian disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dua faktor yaitu dosis pupuk NPK dan konsentrasi pupuk Plant Catalyst masing-masing terdiri atas 4 taraf perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi interaksi nyata perlakuan kombinasi dosis pupuk NPK dengan konsentrasi pupuk Plant Catalyst terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah bunga per tanaman, fruit set, jumlah buah per tandan, bobot buah per buah, bobot buah tiap periode panen, bobot buah total per tanaman, dan diameter buah. Hasil terbaik diperoleh dari perlakuan dosis pupuk NPK 30 g/tanaman dan konsentrasi 2 g/l Plant catalyst.

Abstract

Jagung manis/Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata L.) merupakan komoditas pertanian yang digemari oleh hampir semua kalangan masyarakat di Indonesia. Namun sayangnya produktivitas jagung manis saat ini masih rendah karena kurangnya perhatian petani dalam memanfaatkan lahan pertanian, teknik budidaya yang belum maksimal, dan lahan-lahan subur yang beralih fungsi untuk tanaman industri maupun pemukiman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi pupuk organik cair, pemberian jenis mulsa, serta interaksi pemberian keduanya terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung manis. Parameter pengamatan yang digunakan yakni parameter pertumbuhan dan parameter produksi. Parameter pertumbuhan dilakukan dengan interval 14 hari dimulai pada saat tanaman berumur 14, 28, 42 dan 56 HST dengan pemberian Pupuk organik cair yang digunakan yaitu POC NASA dan mulsa. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Kombinasi perlakuan konsentrasi POC NASA dan jenis mulsa menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi nyata terhadap seluruh parameter yang diamati. karena pemberian konsentrasi POC NASA dan jenis mulsa memberikan pengaruh secara terpisah dan bertindak bebas satu sama lain terhadap semua parameter yang diamati

Abstract

The decline in domestic productivity of longan (Dimocarpus longan L.) occurred due to increased imports. Efforts to get seedlings quickly without requiring a long time can be done by vegetative propagation of longan (shoot grafting). The purpose of this study was to obtain a combination of soaking time with the right concentration of young coconut water on the growth of shoots. The research was conducted from April to July 2023 at Kebun Mangga Pohjentrek, Pasuruan. This study used a 4x4 factorial pattern arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications.  There are 2 factors studied, the first factor is the duration of immersion of the scion consisting of 4 levels (0, 2, 4, 6 hours). The second factor is the concentration of young coconut water consisting of 4 levels (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%). The parameters observed were bud break, percentage of finished grafts, bud length, bud diameter, and number of leaves. The results showed that there was an interaction between the combination of soaking time of 4 hours with a concentration of 25% on the length of shoots at 28 DAG. Effective growth is obtained at a soaking time of 4 hours and a concentration of 25% young coconut water on the parameters of shoot length and shoot diameter.Keywords : scion, longan, concentrate coconut water, shoot grafting

Abstract

Background: Robusta (Coffea canephora) is one type of coffee widely cultivated in Indonesia and is one of the leading commodities. Coffee seeds include seeds that have a long dormancy period that inhibits the germination process. Breaking dormancy can be done by several methods, one of which is soaking in natural growth regulators. Soaking treatment with natural growth regulators can be combined with soaking time treatment to break dormancy. This study aimed to determine the combination of natural growth regulator treatment and the right soaking time for Robusta coffee seed germination. Methods: This research is a 3-repeat Complete Factorial Randomized Design Experiment with the first factor of natural growth regulators type, which consists of 4 levels, namely: Z0 = control; Z1 = coconut water; Z2 = onion extract and Z3 = bamboo shoots, and the second factor is the length of soaking which consists of 3 levels, namely P1 = 12 hours; P2 = 24 hours and P3 = 36 hours. Results: Natural growth regulators' treatment of shallot extract with 24 hours of soaking time gave the best results on all parameters. Conclusions: Using natural growth regulators from coconut water, shallots, and bamboo shoots with several soaking times affects all parameters observed, both in single and combined administration.

Abstract

Background: The purple eggplant is a vegetable commodity that highly favored by many people due to it is delicious taste and benefical nutrition content for health. The demand of purple eggplants increased significantly every year, but it is often not matched by an increase in production caused by poor cultivation. The increased production can be achieved through several efforts, one of which is fertilization with organic materials. This research aims to determine the optimal combination and concentration of each treatment for the application of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) and biological fertilizer which can provides the best influence on plant growth and yield of purple eggplant. Methods: This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (N) divided into 3 levels, consists of 0 ml/l (N0), 4 ml/l (N1), and 8 ml/l (N2). The second factor was the concentration of bio-fertilizer (P) divided into 4 levels, consists of 0 ml/l (P0), 10 ml/l (P1), 20 ml/l (P2) and 30 ml/l (P3). Results: The result indicated that the concentration of 8 ml/l LOF and 30 ml/l bio-fertilizer was able to increase the number of leaves, total flowers per plant, total fruits per plant, and total fruits fresh weight per plant. Conclusions: This Research can be concluded that the concentration of 8 ml/l LOF and 30 ml/l bio-fertilizer gave the best effect on purple eggplants.

Abstract

[THE EFFECT OF IMMERSION IN GA3 AND SOME KINDS OF TSS ON THE GROWTH OF SHALLOTS (Allium ascalonicum L.)]. Shallots (Allium ascolonicum L.) are very much needed by the community and have become one of the high-value commodities in Indonesia. TSS or True Shallot Seed is an elective that can be created as a wellspring of seeds and is an answer for address the issue for quality shallot seeds. In the utilization of TSS seeds, there are still a few deterrents in low development strength. In the use of TSS seeds, there are still some obstacles in low growth strength. Dormancy can be solved by treatment with growth regulators that can encourage, inhibit or qualitatively alter plant development and advancement. One of the PGRs that is regularly utilized is Gibberellins (GA3). This review meant to get the connection between splashing time with a few TSS seeds on the development of shallots, which included germination, development simultaneously, development speed, germination life, plant length, and the quantity of leaves. This examination was led in Ketindan Town, Lawang Area, Malang Regime, East Java, from February to April 2021. This review was a factorial investigation organized dependent on a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) comprising of 2 factors: the length of inundation and the kind of TSS seeds that were rehashed as much as multiple times. The main variable was the inundation time in a GA3 arrangement with a centralization of 40 ppm comprising of no dousing, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 45 minutes of inundation. The seed factor of shallot TSS consists of TSS Sanren, TSS Lokananta, and TSS Bauji. The outcomes showed that the mix of splashing time and TSS seed type fundamentally impacted development speed simultaneously and the quantity of leaves 7 dap.

Abstract

Kurangnya ketersediaan bibit unggul yang mengakibatkan tidak terpenuhinya minat masyarakat akan jambu air Dalhari. Perbanyakan vegetatif secara okluasi tidak dapat memberikan hasil yang efektif karena tidak dapat dilakukan dalam jumlah besar. Solusi yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan menerapkan metode setek batang sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam perbanyakan vegetatif tanaman jambu air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi kombinasi antara jenis zat pengatur tumbuh dan bahan setek terhadap pertumbuhan awal setek jambu air dalhari. Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (RALF) dengan 2 faktor yaitu jenis ZPT (tanpa ZPT/kontrol, rootone-f, ekstrak bawang merah, ekstrak tauge dan ekstrak lidah buaya) dan bahan setek (batang atas, batang tengah dan batang bawah). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya inetaksi pada kombinasi tanpa ZPT dan batang bawah terhadap rerata jumlah tunas. Pada perlakuan tunggal beberapa perlakuan memberikan hasil yang lebih baik terhadap parameter yang diujikan, tetapi ada beberapa perlakuan yang tidak memberikan pengaruh sama sekali.

Abstract

Background: Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) production in Indonesia is still low compared to the national demand of about 782,600 tons, with current production only 102,540.3 tons. To improve yields, organic fertilizers such as rabbit urine and chicken eggshells can be used, as they provide beneficial nutrients for the plants. The purpose is to determine the effects of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) made from rabbit urine and varying doses of chicken eggshells on the growth and yield of purple eggplant (S. melongena L.). Methodology: The research was conducted in Menganti Subdistrict, Gresik Regency. The study used a Factorial Complete Randomized block Design (CRBD) with two factors: rabbit urine concentration (10, 20, 40, 80 ml/L) and chicken eggshell doses (5, 10, 15 grams/plant), observation parameter included plant morphology, fruit yield, and the quality of the fruit. ANOVA was used to analys the data. Findings: The results showed that there was no significant interaction between the two treatments on any observed parameters. The single-factor treatment of chicken eggshell dose had a highly significant effect on both vegetative and generative growth, with an optimal dose of 10 grams per plant. Meanwhile, the single-factor treatment of rabbit urine concentration had no significant effect; however, concentrations of 10–20 ml/L showed a tendency to increase plant yield. The highest fruit set percentage, 69.61%, was obtained from the combination treatment of 10 ml/L rabbit urine and 10 grams/plant chicken eggshell.
