Abstract

The cultural encounter between Aceh and Persian traditions occurred through the approach of Sufism during the early spread of Islam in the Nusantara, where Islam was embraced as a socio-cultural ideology by the Acehnese people. The formalization of structural Islamic law in Aceh today has effectively closed off the possibility of religious moderation within the diversity of new cultural expressions. One of these measures is the establishment of Shafi'i school regulations as the main model in Aceh, which impacts the restriction and adjustment of certain traditions and arts that do not align with this school of thought. As a result, intercultural communication becomes an alternative approach to rebuilding mutual understanding, emphasizing the importance of tolerance, and appreciating cultural differences in Indonesia. However, the desired form of moderation has not yet materialized, as evidenced by the emergence of coercive attitudes within a singular religious perspective. Through an intercultural communication approach, this study reveals the moderation attitudes manifested from the cultural encounter between Aceh and Persia. The presence of Persian-style gravestones, still visible in several areas of Pidie (such as Giging, Bungiy, Meunasah Raya Paleue, and Cot Satu), serves as evidence of this cultural exchange. The descriptive-analytical method employed in this research uncovers several findings, including that history demonstrates the intense cultural communication between Persia and the Acehnese people as an expression of religious moderation. However, over time, with the implementation of structural Islam, the attitude of religious moderation has gradually eroded, either directly or indirectly.

Abstract

Abstract

The selection of management strategies is a fundamental factor in improving financial performance. Improved financial performance will have an impact on business sustainability. This research aims to understand and analyze the effect of social activities, management strategies, and human capital on the financial performance of companies listed in the IDX80 index for the period 2020-2022. This research uses a quantitative approach with a positivist paradigm. The population of this study is all companies included in the IDX80 category for the 2020-2022 period, totaling 80 companies. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 47 companies with 141 observations (N). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS tools. The result of this study indicates that human capital can enhance the financial performance of IDX80 companies. However, Information on social activities does not improve financial performance because social activities increase operational costs. Management strategies do not significantly affect financial performance due to the high cost associated with complex and comprehensive management strategies, which may disrupt financial performance. Companies are recommended to commit to managing human capital to create unique, rare, and irreplaceable intangible assets. The uniqueness of a company will add value, impacting financial performance stability. This research focuses on companies with a similar or equivalent focus on competitive advantage. Expanding the scope will enhance the generalizability of research results.

Abstract

Abstract

In the era of disruption, digital literacy is a must in the communication process, particularly for students or santri in schools and madrassas. As one of the most active social media users, Madrasah and Dayah students must understand the difference between trustworthy and fake news (hoaxes) that has been mixed in cyberspace, susceptible news that has the potential to affect the realm of law and religious extremism. The digital literacy assistance targets Aliyah students in four popular boarding schools in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar regency, with a focus on debunking fake news. This paper employs participatory learning and action (PLA) as a technique for assisting school-aged children. In practice, it was discovered that Aliyah students have a limited understanding of digital literacy, particularly in relation to factors that contribute to the suppression of fake news. It is anticipated that the results make a significant contribution to socialization efforts and targeted campaigns to raise awareness of digital literacy among elementary and secondary school-aged children, as well as its incorporation into the curriculum.

Abstract

This field research in Palangka Raya City revealed that consumer perceptions of the halalness of skincare products vary. Some consumers prioritize safety, skin suitability, and product popularity, while others are highly concerned with halalness as a form of religious observance and choose halal-certified products. The main factors influencing consumer choices are religious beliefs, the influence of family and friends, and the role of social media and influencers. Although halalness is not yet a priority for everyone, awareness of the importance of halal products continues to grow in the community. Data were collected through interviews with two consumers, two skincare sellers, and two religious scholars as informants. The aim was to understand the perceptions and factors influencing the choice of halal skincare products in Palangka Raya City. Semi-structured interviews were conducted directly with informants to freely express their views and experiences and obtain valid data regarding consumer perceptions and factors considered in choosing halal skincare products.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to build togetherness and cooperation between parents and children through an educational game of filling water bottles at Al Ghifari Islamic Kindergarten. This activity was carried out using a participatory approach that directly involved parents and children in every stage of the activity, from preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Before the game began, parents were given a brief explanation regarding the importance of closeness between parents and children in supporting early childhood development. After the presentation of the material, the activity continued with a game of filling water bottles, which was played together by parents and children. This game is a simple yet meaningful way to build emotional closeness. Throughout the activity, children appeared enthusiastic and tried to complete the game with parental support. Through this interaction, parents were able to better understand their children's abilities and build warmer and more positive communication. The results of the activity show that simple games can be an effective medium for strengthening parent-child relationships and supporting early childhood development in a fun way.
