Abstract

Abstract

Peri-Urban Area (WPU) is an area located between areas that have an urban appearance on one side and a rural appearance on the other (Yunus, 2008). The Bogor Regency WPU which borders Bogor City is developing dynamically and may at any time be uncontrollable. In this research, three analytical techniques were used. First, it was carried out using GIS overlay analysis to determine the urban or rural characteristics of the Bogor Regency WPU. Second, it is carried out using scoring analysis to determine the score results for each predetermined variable. Then you will get the total score for each variable. Thus, a typology of Bogor Regency WPU was obtained based on its characteristics. The final analysis technique is descriptive qualitative to determine the appropriate direction for Bogor Regency WPU based on the characteristics, typology, and interactions of the Bogor Regency WPU community obtained through questionnaires. The results of the research show that of the 35 villages/sub- districts of Bogor Regency that border directly with Bogor City. 4 villages and 1 sub-district have a rural peri-urban typology with high rural characteristics and not too much interaction with Bogor City, while 25 have a secondary peri-urban typology with balanced rural and urban characteristics and moderate interaction

Abstract

Kata Kunci: alih fungsi lahan, lahan pertanian, dan permukiman Kotabaru District, Karawang Regency, which is known as one of the national rice barns. The research was conducted since March 2021. Data were collected through observation, documentation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis, overlay, and quantitative analysis. Based on data from 2017 to 2021, the area of paddy fields decreased from 1,332 hectares to 1,276 hectares, with an average conversion rate of -4.32% per year. The largest land conversion occurred in 2019, with 16 hectares of paddy fields turned into residential areas. This research identifies that strategic factors, such as the development of fast trains, industrial estates, and toll access, as well as the increasing population, are the main drivers of land conversion in Kecamatan Kotabaru. Spatial planning in Kotabaru Sub-district is largely in accordance with the allocation for settlements, but the growing need for residential land has led to land use conflicts that have resulted in a reduction in the area of agricultural land. The results of this study are expected to provide input for more sustainable spatial planning to protect agricultural land in the region. Keywords: land use change, agricultural land, and settlements

Abstract

Regional disparities are caused by the different development approaches taken in rural and urban areas that must be integrated. The development of rural areas must be followed by the development of inter-village growth centers that connect rural areas with urban areas in an integrated manner. This study aimed to determine the growth centers of rural areas that function as production, processing, marketing, training, and government service centers in rural regions of Cijeruk District. Four aspects determine the center of growth in rural areas: the infrastructure aspect, the social aspect, the physical aspect, and the economic aspect. This research uses scalogram analysis, Hansen analysis, disaster risk analysis, population analysis, and the analytical hierarchy process. The results of the research point to Cijeruk Village as a growth center for rural areas in the Rural Cijeruk District because it is supported by four variables with large values, for instance, public facilities, growth rate, population density, and regional attractiveness.

Abstract

National economic growth is greatly influenced by industrial growth. Industrial activities in South Cikarang sub-district generally have an impact on regional development and increasing community welfare, industrial development can also increase population. This increase occurred due to the need for a labor in numbers that could not all be provided by the labor in industrial locations, resulting in population migration. The increase in population brings major changes to the increase in basic human needs, namely the need for land as a place to live which will continue to increase naturally, while land is limited and tends to experience environmental degradation. The existence of industry and the increase in population threaten the sustainability of residential areas. The aim of this research is to identify the condition of existing settlements; sustainability status in ecological, economic, social and institutional dimensions; analyzed the availability of residential land and the need for residential land in 2031. The analysis techniques used were spatial analysis, Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis, descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that the research location has a fairly sustainable and sustainable status in developing residential areas. In 2031, several villages in the research area lack land for residential areas, so direction is needed regarding plans for sustainable residential area development.
