Abstract

This research aims to see whether there is an interaction between the composition of the planting media and the concentration of ZPT Rootone-F on the growth of Bougainvillea glabra cuttings. The results of this research can provide information regarding the composition of the planting media and the concentration of ZPT Rootone-F which can increase the growth of Bougainvillea glabra cuttings. This experiment used a two-factor randomized block design (RAK) and was repeated twice. Factor 1 or more precisely the composition of the planting medium (m) includes 4 levels: m1 = soil + sand + organic fertilizer (1: 1: 1), m2 = soil + sand + compost (2: 1: 1), m3 = soil + sand + compost (1: 2: 1) and m4 = soil + sand + compost (1: 1: 2). The second factor is the use of different concentrations of Rootone-F, including 5 levels: f0 (0 g L-1 Water “Control”), f1 (10 g L-1 Water), f2 ( 20 g L-1 Water), f3 ( 300 g L-1 Water) and f4 (40 g L-1 Water). Differences in media components and Rootone-F concentrations in Bougainvillea glabra cuttings had no effect on the growth of Bougainvillea glabra cuttings. However, they produced different growth independently based on different treatments. Key words: Substances, cuttings, Rootone-F auxin concentration

Abstract

In order to create future superior varieties, local rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a source of germplasm. In Sumengang Regency, conservation efforts are required to prevent the extinction of native rice genotypes. This study attempts to investigate native rice in Sumedang Regency, identifying morphological characteristics, studying growth and yield, and family links. The study's sites included greenhouses and experimental paddy fields at Winaya Mukti University's Faculty of Agriculture in Tanjungsari, Sumedang Regency, and the Sumedang Regency area. A survey method, descriptive qualitative analysis, and an experimental methodology employing a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 18 treatments of local rice cultivars and two repetitions were used to conduct the research from May 2022 to December 2022. Sixteen local rice cultivars from Sumedang and two local rice cultivars from Tuban and Probolinggo were discovered as a result of research in the form of exploration; morphological characters were identified using the UPOV criteria (2020); growth characters with high yields were discovered in Gemah and Tri Sakti cultivars, whereas Bagendit cultivars tended to have low growth but high fruitfulness. All 18 of the examined cultivars showed variations in growth and yield. The dendrogram that resulted from the phenetic analysis split the eighteen rice cultivars into two groups: Group I was made up of local rice cultivars, namely Sertani, Bagendit, Masreum, Gading, Jablay, Patenggang, Gede Wangi, Hawara salak, Mentik Susu A, Godang, and Omas Genteng; group II was made up of local rice cultivars, namely Jalur, Gemah, Mesir Super, Sri Dewi, Tri Sakti, Mentik Susu B, and Mareum. There is a 56.16% similarity between each distinct rice variety. Many Sumedang local rice cultivars, such as Gading, Jablay, and Patenggang, share morphological characteristics. The morphological character data shows a 90% similarity coefficient amongst the cultivars.

Abstract

Cocoa plants, one of the leading commodities in Indonesia, are predicted to become the world's main producer and have the opportunity to compete globally. Alternative planting media to produce optimal growth of cocoa seeds, namely by using agricultural waste in the form of coffee skin waste and fertilizing using chicken manure. This research aims to study the growth of cocoa seeds (Theobroma cacao L.) and their response to doses of coffee skin waste and chicken manure. This experiment was carried out in the screenhouse of the plant experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Winaya Mukti University at an altitude of 864 m above sea level, carried out in March - June 2023, the experiment used a Randomized Group Design (RAK) with a 4 x 4 factorial pattern with 2 replications, so that 16 treatment combinations and 32 treatment combinations were obtained. experimental unit. The first factor is coffee skin waste with levels k0 = Soil + Coffee Skin Waste (0%), k1 = Soil + Coffee Skin Waste (10%), k2 = Soil + Coffee Skin Waste (20%) and k3 = Soil + Skin Waste Coffee (30%), while the second factor is chicken manure with levels p0 = 0 g/polybag, p1 = 20 g/polybag, p2 = 40 g/polybag and p3 = 60 g/polybag. The results showed that the application of coffee skin waste and chicken manure significantly affected the growth of cocoa plants, especially on the wet weight of the plants with the best dose of 20% for coffee skin waste and 20 g and 40 g for chicken manure.
