Abstract

Sari. Kangkung darat merupakan salah satu tanaman yang dapat menyerap logam berat. Hal ini berkaitan dengan pertumbuhan, hasil, dan keamanan kangkung sebagai bahan konsumsi. Pencemaran lahan pertanian dapat disebabkan dari kegiatan industri, salah satunya yaitu limbah penyamakan kulit yang mengandung logam berat kromium yang mengairi lahan pertanian. Pemberian bahan organik merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan hasil tanaman kangkung darat dan menyerap logam berat. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi macam dan dosis bahan organik pada media tercemar kromium penyamakan kulit terhadap pertumbuhan, hasil dan kandungan kromium pada tanaman kangkung darat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan sembilan perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Perlakuan kombinasi macam dan dosis bahan organik terdiri dari serasah daun, pupuk kandang kambing, dan kascing dengan dosis masing-masing 5 t ha-1, 10 t ha-1dan 15 t ha-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan kombinasi macam dan dosis bahan organik pada media tercemar kromium penyamakan kulit berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan, dan hasil tanaman kangkung darat. Kombinasi kascing 15 t ha-1 memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik terhadap tinggi tanaman, bobot segar per tanaman, dan bobot kering per tanaman, sedangkan pemberian serasah daun 5 t ha-1 menghasilkan tanaman kangkung darat dengan kandungan kromium yang lebih rendah (51,33 mgkg-1) dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya tetapi tanaman dengan kadar tersebut belum aman untuk dikonsumsi.Kata Kunci : kangkung darat, bahan organik, kromium, hasilAbstract. Water spinach is a heavy metal accumulator plant if grown in polluted soils. This raises the concern of water spinach safety as one of the most consumed vegetables in Asian household. Land pollution in water spinach cultivation area can be caused by industrial activities that involve heavy metals such as tannery. Industrial waste such as chrome leaches to the water system that eventually will be used as irrigation source for agriculture. Organic fertilizer is a potential solution to increase water spinach growth, yield, and absorb heavy metal contaminants. This research evaluated the effect of type and dosage of organic fertilizer on water spinach that grown in chromium-polluted soils. This research design used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with nine treatments and three replication. The treatment of combination of types and dosages of organic fertilizer. There were dried leaves, goat manure, and vermicompost with dosage of 5 t ha-1, 10 t ha-1 and 15 t ha-1. The results of this research showed that the effect of combination of organic fertilizer type and dosages at chrome polluted media gave better effect on growth, and yield of water spinach. Giving vermicompost of 15 t ha-1 gaves better effect on plant height, fresh weight of plant, and dry weight of plant, meanwhile the doses of 5 t ha-1dried leaves showed the lowest chrome content compared to other treatments, but these plants are still unsafe for consumption due to high chrome content.Keywords: water spinach, organic fertilizer, chromium, yield

Abstract

Abstract. The Large-Scale Social Restrictions implemented to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19 have implications for the community's economy, for example, food compliance. To anticipate food scarcity on large scale, people can be educated to manage independent food gardens in organic vegetable gardens. The problem faced by people in urban areas is the unavailability of large areas for gardening. The solution that can be offered related to this condition is the application of technology by utilizing science and technology in the form of verticulture cultivation techniques in narrow land yards. This activity aims to apply verticulture technology that utilizes the capillary nature of water in the absorption of plant nutrients to facilitate partners who are generally housewives in maintaining and controlling plant nutrition until the harvest period. Partners in this community service are residents of the Tasikmalaya City of West Java, West Java, a resident of Perum Mitra Batik. The method used to apply technology is through extension activities in the form of lectures, discussions & questions and answers, training in the form of demonstration plots & planting practices on verticultural media, and supervision in the form of fertilization & plant maintenance until the harvest period. The results of the evaluation based on the indicators of the success of the activity showed that 90% of participants/partners admitted that they had increased knowledge about verticulture cultivation. 77.27% of participants/partners also feel very interested in doing verticulture cultivation in the future independently. Concern for the plants that have been planted is considered good, shown by the active role of participants/partners during the supervision and maintenance stages until harvest results are obtained that can be enjoyed by the community.               Abstrak. Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) yang dilaksanakan untuk memutus rantai penyebaran COVID-19 telah berimplikasi terhadap ekonomi masyarakat, salah satunya pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan. Demi mengantisipasi kelangkaan pangan dalam skala besar, masyarakat dapat diedukasi untuk mengelola kebun pangan mandiri berupa kebun sayuran organik. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat di area perkotaan adalah tidak tersedianya area luas untuk berkebun. Solusi yang dapat ditawarkan terkait kondisi tersebut adalah penerapan teknologi tepat guna dengan memanfaatkan IPTEK berupa teknik budidaya vertikultur di pekarangan rumah berlahan sempit. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah menerapkan teknologi vertikultur yang memanfaatkan sifat kapilaritas air dalam penyerapan nutrisi tanaman untuk memudahkan mitra yang umumnya ibu rumah tangga dalam perawatan dan kontrol nutrisi tanaman hingga masa panen. Mitra dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah anggota KWT Rengganis dan anggota PKK RW 13 yang merupakan Warga Perum Mitra Batik Kota Tasikmalaya Jawa Barat. Metode yang dilakukan untuk menerapkan teknologi adalah dengan kegiatan penyuluhan berupa ceramah, diskusi & tanya-jawab, pelatihan berupa demplot & praktik tanam pada media vertikultur, serta pengawasan berupa pemupukan & pemeliharaan tanaman hingga masa panen. Hasil evaluasi berdasarkan indikator keberhasilan kegiatan menunjukkan 90% peserta/mitra mengaku mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan tentang budidaya vertikultur. 77,27% peserta/mitra juga merasa sangat tertarik untuk melakukan budidaya vertikultur pada masa mendatang secara mandiri. Kepedulian terhadap tanaman yang telah ditanam dinilai baik ditunjukkan dengan peran aktif peserta/mitra selama tahap pengawasan dan perawatan hingga diperoleh hasil panen yang dapat dinikmati oleh masyarakat.

Abstract

Javanese ginseng (Talinum paniculatum Gaertn) is one of the medicinal plants which its roots (tubers) and leaves can be used as a medicine. The productivity of javanese ginseng is influenced by the availability of water. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth of javanese ginseng under the differences of watering volume. Watering volume treatment consisted of 7 treatments with 4 replications using a Randomized Block Design (RBD). Watering volume treatment consisted of 80% of field capacity (control), 50% of field capacity, 60% of field capacity, 70% of field capacity, 90 of field capacity, 100% of field capacity and 110% of field capacity. Watering volume treatment on javanese ginseng gave significantly different effect on plant height, number of leaves, root length, wet weight, and chlorophyll content, while the insignificant difference was shown in the number of stomata and relative moisture content. The best growth for plant height, number of leaves, root length, wet weight and chlorophyll content of javanese ginseng was shown in the treatment of watering volume of 50% of field capacity.

Abstract

Jumlah penduduk miskin di Kota Tasikmalaya naik dari 86,13 ribu jiwa pada tahun 2020 menjadi 89,46 ribu jiwa pada 2021. Kemiskinan memerlukan tindakan pemberdayaan, proses pemberdayaan menjadi bagian pentitng dalam pembangunan alternatif dan dituangkan dalam aksi nyata bertujuan meningkatkan derajat hidup dan kesejahteraan masyarakat di berbagai segi kehidupan. Kegiatan pemberdayaan pangan lokal dalam konteks Diversifikasi Pangan untuk Ketahanan pangan dapat dilakukan pada Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE) yang dibentuk, tumbuh, dan berkembang atas prakarsanya dalam melaksanakan Usaha Ekonomi Produktif (UEP) untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan sosial keluarga maupun di kelembagaan masyarakat diantaranya PKK. Implementasi diversifikasi pangan olahan masih banyak terkendala, sehingga diperlukan upaya alternatif diantaranya dengan memberdayakan ibu-ibu PKK dan Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE) Kaireina sebagai mitra dalam Pengabdian bagi Masyarakat Ketahanan Pangan (PbM-KP) UNSIL di Perum Pondok Tandala Kecamatan Kawalu Kota Tasikmalaya sekaligus menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan dan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Saat ini Mitra sudah melaksanakan usahanya dalam pengolahan dan pembuatan makanan ringan/cemilan termasuk yang berbasis bahan baku sumberdaya lokal. Namun perkembangan mitra sebagai pengolah produk olahan berbasis non beras belum seperti yang diharapkan. Diantaranya masih terbatasnya tenaga terampil dalam proses pengolahan bahan baku, terbatasnya jenis bahan baku yang diolah serta keterbatasan akses pemasaran. Demikian juga kapasitas PKK sebagai pionir penggunaan bahan baku pangan lokal masih terbatas, sehingga implementasi pola diversifikasi pangan lokal masih rendah. Solusi dan metode yang disepakati yaitu Penyuluhan, Pelatihan dan Pendampingan, dilakukan sejak September 2022 sampai Desember 2022. Kegiatan telah memberikan peningkatan dampak sosial ekonomi melalui peningkatan indikator psychological assets, informational assets, organizational assets, material assets dan human assets. Target luaran yang dicapai adalah 1. Publikasi Ilmiah pada Jurnal ber ISSN, 2) Publikasi pada media massa cetak,Instagram 3) Diversifikasi produk.

Abstract

A medicinal plant known as Java ginseng (Talinum paniculatum Gaertn.) may thrive in a variety of water availability situations. The quantity of endophytic bacteria a plant contains affects its capacity to survive in stressful environments. The objective of this study was to identify and separate endophytic bacteria from Javanese ginseng roots that had undergone various water availability treatments. A description method was utilized, in which isolated isolates were given morphological descriptions, assessed for similarity indexes, and then categorized. Endophytic microbe abundance and diversity varied according to this study, but plants treated with water scarcity displayed higher abundance and diversity. While endophytes of plant origin treated with 60% field capacity (FC) had the maximum diversity, root samples treated with 80% (FC) had the highest microbial abundance. Ten species groupings were created from the 42 isolated isolates based on a coefficient value of > 70%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis pupuk kompos limbah organik dan pupuk N,P,K yang lebih baik terhadap respon tanaman kacang tanah. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 10 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan A : 100 % Pupuk N,P,K; B : Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 2 ton/ha; C : Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 4 ton/ha; D : Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 6 ton/ha; E : Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 2 ton/ha + 75 % Pupuk N,P,K; F : Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 2 ton/ha + 50 % Pupuk N,P,K; G : Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 4 ton/ha + 75 % Pupuk N,P,K; H : Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 4 ton/ha + 50 % Pupuk N,P,K; I : Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 6 ton/ha + 75 % Pupuk N,P,K; J : Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 6 ton/ha + 50 % Pupuk N,P,K. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh yang tidak berbeda namun terdapat perlakuan yang lebih baik. Pemberian 100 % Pupuk N,P,K; Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 2 ton/ha + 75 % Pupuk N,P,K dan Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 6 ton/ha + 50 % Pupuk N,P,K menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik terhadap jumlah polong isi per tanaman, jumlah biji per tanaman, bobot 100 biji, bobot biji per tanaman, bobot polong isi per tanaman, dan bobot biji per petak dibandingkan dengan pemberian Pupuk Kompos Limbah Organik 2 ton/ha.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan utama di Kota Tasikmalaya pada akhir 2021 adalah meningkatnya jumlah penduduk miskin. Kemiskinan membutuhkan tindakan pemberdayaan untuk meningkatkan derajat hidup dan kesejahteraannya. Tujuan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan skema Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PbM-PKM) ini adalah membina dan mengembangkan potensi PKK dalam mengolah komoditas berbasis kearifan lokal untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga dan masyarakat, diiinisiasi oleh LPPM Universitas Siliwangi dan dilaksanakan pada PKK di Perum Pondok Tandala Kawalu Kota Tasikmalaya mulai Juni - Desember 2023.  Saat ini PKK mitra sedang merintis berbagai usaha di bidang kuliner diantaranya  dalam bentuk jajanan pasar, juga sedang mengembangkan produk alternatif berbasis bahan baku lokal yang melimpah di lokasi pengabdian yakni Lidah Buaya (Aloe vera sp). Sayangnya sampai saat ini pemanfaatan lidah buaya masih untuk hiasan/ornament dan tidak pernah dimanfaatkan untuk dijadikan makanan olahan yang memiliki nilai tambah ekonomi.  Hal ini disebabkan  masih terbatasnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengolahan Lidah Buaya. Solusi dan metode yang disepakati diantaranya melalui penyuluhan tentang manfaat tanaman Lidah Buaya dan pelatihan diversifikasi pengolahan produk dan pendampingan. Secara umum hasil penyuluhan dan pelatihan dapat direspons dengan baik dan mendapatkan apresiasi dari para peserta dan menyatakan bahwa ilmu dan keterampilan yang diperoleh akan diimplementasikan dalam skala keluarga dan kelompok. Juga telah memberikan dampak sosial ekonomi berupa psychological assets, informational assets, organizational assets, material assets, financial assets, dan human assets.

Abstract

The constraints of local food development are the lack of derivative products that are easily accepted, accessible to the community and the implementation is not optimal. The purpose of Community-Based empowerment with the scope of Community Partnership Empowerment (PbM-PkM) is to empower the community through partners KWT Teratai and Poktan Kertaraharja III Gunajaya Village, Manonjaya District, Tasikmalaya to increase the diversification of derivative products from Talas Pratama to increase community income. This activity was carried out from May to December 2024. Gunajaya Village is the centre of Talas Pratama producers with productivity/ha around 30-40 tonnes, but most of it is sold raw so that the added value is low. There is an effort to diversify Talas Pratama into several derivative products, but until now it is still constrained by limited knowledge and skilled personnel to process products. This activity uses methods of socialisation, counselling, product processing diversification training, evaluation, grant assistance and mentoring. This activity has had an impact on the socio-economic conditions of the participants in the form of psychological assets, informational assets, organizational assets, material assets, financial assets, and human assets. Abstract

This study investigates the impact of land application of farm dairy effluent (FDE) on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays var. saccharata). The agricultural sector faces increasing challenges in managing effluents sustainably, and the utilization of FDE as a potential nutrient source for crop production has gained prominence. Field experiments were conducted to assess the effects of FDE application on sweet corn with different rate of irrigation. Randomized completely block design was used an experimental design with different irrigation rate i.e. A = 0% FC effluent, B = 25% FC effluent, C = 50% FC effluent, D = 75% FC effluent, and E = 100% FC. The collected data was analyzed by using ANOVA with 5% of significance, a further test is performed using duncan multiple range test. The results showed that  FDE had TDS, TSS, BOD and COD higher than the standard with values ​​of 1398 mg/L, 2575 mg/L, 3611 mg/L and 6374 mg/L respectively. The application of FDE significantly influenced sweet corn growth especially on height and leaf increment. The application of FDE with 100% FC tends to have higher leaf increment than other treatments at 35 DAA (day after application).

Abstract

Automatic incubator is an incubator device designed to hatch eggs artificially with automatically controlled temperature, humidity, and egg turning settings, in the hope of increasing the success rate of hatching, saving time and energy, and enabling hatching on a larger scale. The purpose of this community service is to apply appropriate technology for automatic egg hatching to improve the knowledge, skills, accessibility, and income of farmers in Rajamandala Village. This program is a Kosabangsa scheme through a collaboration between Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya and Universitas Siliwangi. This activity starts in September 2024 to December 2024 in Rajamandala Village, Rajapolah District, Tasikmalaya Regency. Kosabangsa activities consist of various activities, namely socialization / counseling regarding automatic incubators, training on their application which can be controlled using Android, and assistance in the application of automatic incubator technology to partners until their marketing activities. The target partner for this activity is Kelompok Ternak Bebek Mukti with a total of 20 group members as participants in the activity. The results of this community service activity show that the application of automatic incubator technology in Kelompok Ternak Bebek Mukti is able to increase the percentage of hatching power and reduce the hatching time compared to the application of manual incubator technology that is commonly used. The output of this activity is able to increase the knowledge, skills, accessibility, and income of Kelompok Ternak Bebek Mukti partners in the egg hatching process
